I know my gold hasn't done anyone much good. I am expanding into Uranium operations for that reason!

Its just simple game mechanics...

I am going to start Uranium mining in a few turns... Hopefully the market will not crash that much. If i make a promise to get Uranium will they rise a little? Also how much would it cost me to move my colony/mining units/hab units to another sector to start mining?

Don't worry I'm giving them more Uranium though they should be investing in solar roads and other renewable energy...

Yeah, you can ask them to make special deliveries and manipulate market prices.
For instance, you could ask them to invest more in renewable energy so that energy prices (uranium) would drop while rare metal prices rise.

Director Name: Austin Mctavish

Director Bio: Japan’s search for a Director required several needs to be met. One of the most important was a blur between skill and experience. After much debating and arguing, it was agreed that mining was a major influence for any colony-to-be. However, as the other superpowers began to launch their own colony vessels Technocratic Japan grew impatient and widened their search from within their sovereign borders to within their sphere of influence. Eventually they decided on Austin Mctavish an Australian CEO of the mining corporation Red River.

When energy shortages began to strike the planet Austin Mctavish, at the time a young enthusiast, had recently joined up with one of the many faceless state mining corporations. As time wore on and more and more miners found themselves losing their jobs in the face of the mass shortages, Mctavish eventually moved on to the private sector. Starting out, he re-invigorated the semi-infamous worker unions. But unlike his predecessors’ his main concern was the corporations and ensuring that they could keep their workers happy with minimal costs. With time, he learned all the ins and outs of politics while keeping the skills of a miner by his side and taking both along with the fortune he had accumulated within his union, he set out on making his own mining corp. Quickly earning popularity with the government and through several backhand deals, Mctavish was able to secure a vast amount of support as he started his first digs. Once again time wore on but unlike other firms, Mctavish’s Red River didn’t just supply ore but expanded to refining it as well then selling vast quantities to the superpowers. His ability in securing funding and skill in politics as well as popularity with people for leading a Union is what grabbed Japan’s attention.

Very little prompting was needed. While the Red River firm may have grown to become one of the oligopolies in time, Mctavish agreed that it may not happen in his lifetime or even at all. Instead he agreed that leading a colony to a new world would better cement his name in history. So at age 52 Austin Mctavish signed up with the Japanese superpower as their colony’s director.

Actually, Organic Products was supposed to mean stuff like
Carbon fibers, Xenofungus, Soma...
but they are yet to be discovered.
Never mind, I will add a resource Called "Organic Products" which will be needed for cloning humans.

You could start in turn 28 with a freighter, A Colony Center, 1000 colonists and 50 bC~
And from now on, That's what all new colonies start with.
I hope our corporate player doesn't mind...

So is the entire system, Earth, or just the Moon got swallowed up by the wormhole?
