Right at the start the colonies didn't, they had to mine and ship stuff to earth in order to make a buck - although they had all the resources they needed to start mining from the get go.

I'd say considering you'd be starting late you'd get some additional help though. Not to sure what - cash or supplies?

He'll probably start out with a few hundred BC so he can buy up some neat stuff to get him on a good footing. Perhaps a new expedition sent with more backing now that the Discworld is known to be profitable?

Oh, by the by Bentus, I'd love if some Changelings could bum a ride off you to said Discworld. They'll pay, of course.

Just bumping in, the Shuttle and the Freighter have 2 AP (action points) per week which are basically how many things they can 'do'. Although you have to pay maintenance for every spent action point, 1 credit per AP for the Shuttle and 2 credit per AP for the Freighter.

I just think of action points as 'movement points' and build points as things needed to build something :3

Also, I've got a freighter sitting around twiddling its thumbs. Anyone up for a trade?


Shuttles and freighters have 1 AP, but they can get "free APs" when docking with trade ports (the AP they use to load unload cargo)... that may have made things confusing.

The game mechanics section will get 20% longer to today and 50% more awesome.
Also, I'm planning on offering civilized natives the chance to play like regular colonies to make things more balanced.

Grrr... I can see that much some of you started using 2 APs per turn for the freighters and shuttles.
Remember: Space ports only make loading/unloading cargo free, not landing and takeoff.
If things are too confusing, just create a trade route.

Could you run down with the trade routes again? I remember it was 1 resource per turn for the shuttle, but do we have to pay to maintain it? And does it change for freighters?

The price of some cards/structures changed.
Cards you have played/Buildings you have built so far are not affected (they are still valid).
More update to the Game mechanics section coming soon, If you don't like reading it, you can always TELEGRAM me questions, otherwise I might miss them.

Hmm, you may want to nerf Extract Hark, since Dig went up. Also, Deep Mines should be more expensive.

Just a heads-up. There's already a NAAFTA colony on the volcanic moon I think, although I wouldn't be surprised to see some competition between megacorp backers etc etc, just wanted to let you know ;)

Also, re the infantry. If you don't like paying the maintenance, you COULD sell it to earth at the elevator for a pretty penny. Although you'd be vulnerable to anyone who decides to go all WAAAGHHH!!! on you.

As a matter of fact we are planning to work together. I am covering the tab of the military units for now and will help along the colony. From an IC standpoint i was going to move onto the Uranium no matter what but if Orson does it then NAAFTA will be better off. Besides I offered to allow us to build on each others land and share energy and what not. Just will watch to make sure he doesn't suck up all the power. My two mech units and conventional infitary will help.
