Alright. Do you understand how you gain more money and modules?

Not really. I do know you can sell resources.

Essentially, you can use colonists to mine up resources that you prospect for.

Then you can use your shuttle to ship those to Earth, where you sell them for Credits.

Those Credits are then used to buy modules, which are essentially buildings for your colony.

Colonists can be recruited from your home country at a certain rate for free, determined by what country you're from. You can also buy international colonists for Credits.

And you sell resources to your home country, in general terms, or other colonists if you want.

The main orb you see is the DiscWorld; only its edges beyond the white may be landed on, as a vast electromagnetic storm makes transit further inland suicidal. The other smaller orbs you see are moons and the Lavamass which orbit the Discworld. The DiscWorld is flat, but habitable to humans, whereas most of the moons are fairly inimicable to life. The political map roughly displays where other colonies are, though bugger me if I know which is which.

USJR, there's a massive warhost of golams headed for your base. Feel free to help the Changelings fight them off, if you wish.

Happy to help; any thoughts on what power you'll be apping as a colony of?

North America.

Also, how do the turns work, and how do we gain action points?

Turns are published more or less daily by the OP, Harkback. Sometimes they consist of two weeks, sometimes one. You mean Action Points for the Shuttles? I believe they can use one Action Point per week, and that's their limit.

Seeing as I am a new colony, would I start at turn 1 or something else?

And it says under buildings that workers can turn their action points into build points. How do we gain these points? Better yet, what are action points?

You'd start with all of us, at Turn 25; I presume you'll get a leg up in cash and whatnot though.

I believe for every 100 Workers you assign to create build points, you gain one BP. Essentially, 100 idle workers is one AP, which can be converted into various things, or used to maintain buildings. AP is essentially the ability to operate buildings, like mines, power plants, etc.

Mind you though, I'm a bit fuzzy on the colonists mechanics, as I'm RPing as natives.

How many colonists and how much money do we start out with initially?

Really every 100 colonists? I thought it was 500 but I would need to check with Hark.

Edit:
Workers - No stats - 500 colonists can become temporary worker units. They will work with their bare hands and tiny tools to extract 1 unit of resource from the Sector where they live per turn. They can also produce 1 BP (build points) for a construction project in the territory where they live. Beware! Accidents may happen.

Just bumping in, the Shuttle and the Freighter have 2 AP (action points) per week which are basically how many things they can 'do'. Although you have to pay maintenance for every spent action point, 1 credit per AP for the Shuttle and 2 credit per AP for the Freighter.

I just think of action points as 'movement points' and build points as things needed to build something :3

Also, I've got a freighter sitting around twiddling its thumbs. Anyone up for a trade?

You start off with 1000 Colonists, one Colony Module at 10 power, 1 shuttle with no fee to use and that is it. I can loan you some cash if you want. After i have my military set up I will be golden.

Well, I'm heading to his spaceport to drop some stuff off anyhow. What are you looking for?
Just a heads-up though. Low on capital so can't purchase too many expensive goods lest I run out of gas half way to the elevator.
