Won't happen.

Christie's made of stronger stuff than that, and without having to step to the far right to avoid a primary challenger, he can be moderate in order to keep Democrats on his side during elections.

I guess you aren't up to date in New Jersey politics, but he isn't very well liked by the Democrats in New Jersey. He won re-election because the woman we put up against him was well not a good candidate and was basically sacrificed by the party *I might work for/know several prominent people in state government*

Christie is very vulnerable, especially since New Jersey is so blue. Plus, there was no Hurricane Sandy. Without Sandy, Christie is already at odds with a lot in New Jersey, Sandy really saved his governorship, as awful as that sounds.

The Republicans can easily lose their Whip to a Democrat, he'll get through his primary but the general election is anyone's game in New Jersey.

I think what Glitter is saying is that since the House Democrats are pretty solid in the majority, we only need more players in the senate, unless I'm mistaken.

Of senate and IC.

The Senate, I've no clue, I tried to follow it and got lost.

IC, Representative Giffords, a Democrat with Republican leanings, was shot. Some Representatives are working on a bill to remove parts of DOMA, and others are writing up a bill for gun control.

Republican with Democratic leanings, we changed it up a tad.

If only Lindsey Graham was here, then Mccain and him could cuddle while I destroy Congress.

But the Republican leadership tho.

We have Bachmann likely in to attract women.

And then the 97 year old Asian Buj and I joked was put in place to make China happy.

He's won two gubernatorial elections in a strongly blue state. Even if the second one was a goof, that's a pretty strong showing for him -- and assume that, as a US senator, he's less to blame (and to credit) for the issues in New Jersey than the current governor. If he steps to the center, gives a (lot) to the state, he'd have a more than reasonable chance at it, I wager.

*shrugs*

Besides, even if the Democrats win one more seat, the Republicans control 50 members of the house, and the VP casts the tiebreaker vote. Given Republican unity (compared to Democrat unity >.> ) it'd be feasible. Tough, difficult, horrendous, but feasible. Worst case, we let you guys block everything and then complain to the media that the Democrats are being the party of 'No!'

It's not campaigning time yet though. Just get the Senate to deadlock at a minimum on anything, then I can have the final say.

No. Palin will be hunting polar bears and doing oil prospecting. At the same time.

So is Michele Bachmann, yet I'm the Senate Majority Leader and Palin is VP.

Well, the first really Corzine was not going to be reelected as he was a very nice man, but a horrible manager. I won't argue the first election with you, because that was rightfully Christie's.

The issue is Christie is the Whip, which means he has to go around and get the rest of the Republicans to vote against a same-sex marriage bill, a bill most in New Jersey would support. He has to decide between his party and keeping his job, at the end of the day. Because the state Democrats likely loath Christie (I'm tapping into an actual rivalry between Christie and the State Senate President for this one). It is not so much losing the seat to a Democrat the Republicans need to worry about, it is whether or not Christie will toe the party line and risk losing his seat.

Too much effort. Although the main reason I'm bored is that the President hasn't done anything yet for me to do anything about.

Ohhhhhhh, this is about the same-sex marriage bill.

Don't worry, Senator Brent has a plan for that. Well, will have a plan for it. Christie won't have to worry.

Oh you thought it was for SHIELD? Nah, he'd support that, he's even suggested gutting the Federal Educational Budget and transferring the money to the FBI.
