Also, Rules Committee isn't 100% successful in blocking all bills; otherwise, every piece of legislation the Republicans hate would never have been passed. You can obstruct, delay, or reduce chances on bills, but you can't block all of them. Or high-profile ones.

Also, Rules Committee isn't 100% successful in blocking all bills; otherwise, every piece of legislation the Republicans hate would never have been passed. You can obstruct, delay, or reduce chances on bills, but you can't block all of them. Or high-profile ones.

You should see the composition of the committee now, it's one of the most unfair I've seen. There's another that's name slips my mind, has three democrats and twelve or so republicans.

But anywho, I can limit it's debate time considerably, and most of those other committee people are probably low ranking democratic lackies, I'm sure I can sway them. As for the ranking member and other republicans, we can work something out.
