Episode One-Discovery
Aye, tis’ a terrible time we live in. To think we have to blame some dighted politicians and generals for this.
It’s been like this I suck from my maw’s titties as a little bairn of a windae wummin barely even twenty years old. Ah those were the day’s from doing some back breaking farm work to hokin’ some garbage bins to beating some havering wean’s. That is, until a Wao party landed on my home to collect their debt. I remember distinctly them coming up to the older weans of my village saying “Join us”. Most of them went naw but me, only thirteen years, I said aye. So they took me aboard that vessel of theirs and took me to my new home. Adien. It was hard to adjust to the lifestyle for my training and the training itself. Half of the kids in my cabin were as old as nineteen or as young as ten. But I pushed through and made myself a warrior of the Wao Way. Some code that someone made centuries ago for our little band to follow. None of the clans agreed with how to interpret the thing and we never saw it, something about being vital part of the history of these Wao.
After a few years of fighting and maiming I finally was given my first sigil, if I remember it was a sigil they called “The Young” fit me back then they said, all I did was agree as it was painted into my helmet with some of my own personalized sigils and phrases. A few more years I met a bonnie named Angelia and we merrtied and had our own barin’s which were taken from us at our consent to be trained into future generations.
Now here I am, commander of this fine vessel I call Bessie and apart of this merry old band. Thing have been good, with a war going between the Gaians and Ragon we have plenty of jobs to take care of ourselves and swim in standards. I have begun to notice something. The jobs, well they are getting stranger and stranger. We get these contracts from some sleekit scunner who calls himself “prophet”. He’s probably some daft bozoo judging on the jobs he gives us. From getting charts for navigating into the Pegasus Cluster, to forcibly to bribing historians to unlock their archives on the Engineers, I’ve begun to question who this prophet is.
My grumption says he’s just a loony but my gut says something darker is in the works.

Welcome everyone to One of the Same, an RP about a group of mercenaries from a society called the Wao trying to save the galaxy. The Wao are not one race, they are made up of all races in the galaxy. From Humans to Yisuta there are many races in the Wao. Which follows the rule that says "All that can fight, shall fight" rule in the Wao Way. The Wao don't agree on what some passages of the Wao Way means, here are those passages.

All who can fight, shall fight.
-Some Wao think this means that anyone capable of using a weapon is to fight, even if they have no training or don’t want to. Some thinks this means that these people should be saved for training in the way of the Wao.
There is no such thing as a bad weapon instead a bad user.
-Through this is the less disputed topic some Wao say this means that all weapons, may it be a kitchen knife, should be used. Other Wao say that it means to train and train with your weapon. The latter being the most accepted interpretation.
All are equal.
-Some Wao say that this just applies to the Wao only, with other races being fair game. Other’s think this means that all races,even if they are not apart of the Wao, will be treated with the same respect as their comrades.
Everyone is a warrior.
-Some Wao say that this means that everyone, including children should be trained to be Wao warriors. Others say that means that anyone can be a hero and say that Warriors do not win wars alone.
The Wao often add sigils with various meanings to their armor, normally on their armors chestplate or helmet but some go as a far to get it tattooed to their body.

Meaning in Wao culture-Guide and wiseman. The wearer of this sigil is the wise men of their clan or brothers and sisters providing guidance to the younger warriors and even clan chieftains.

Meaning-A true leader. This sigil is worn by our leader and a few others on board. Clan chieftains often wear this sigil.

Meaning-A man able to bring hope to a hopeless scenario. It is also worn by priest and priestess of the Wao Way.

Name-The Lost.
Meaning-This wearer is the last member of his or her family and will do anything to gain vengeance or to ease their soul. Most older warriors have this, either because their family died or left once them once they joined the Wao.

Name-The Denied.
Meaning-This is worn by former slaves (If the Blackwatch doesn’t get them) who have escape and joined the Wao for protection from slavers. A wearer of this symbol must be cautious as they may be recaptured if spotted.

Name-The Wolf.
Meaning-The wearer is a silent hunter and skilled marksmen. This sigil is given to Wao who have shown themselves as great marksmen.

The Wao Way is our guide and all Wao are required to read it to join the Wao. Through these are mostly abridged copies and they depend on clan as no one agrees on how to interpret it. (Note you can make your interpretation)

Meaning-This is the insignia of the Blackwatch, a Wao faction that was exiled due to their actions.

Name-The Humble.
Meaning-This means the Warrior is a joyful and good all around person to be around.
The Wao have no religious holidays and culture is dedicated to being an good warrior. Of course that does not mean all Wao are good people, for example the Blackwatch (Now known as the Exiles) were a bunch of dicks that the Wao exiled due to their brutality. The Wao are also not united, but instead ruled by clans. Which is why the Wao call themselves members of Clan Bonda for example and non-Wao when talking about the Wao politics call them "The Wao Clans". The Clans occasionally fight each other over stuff such as territory or even disagreements.
Nephilims-The Nephilims are a catch-all term for guys and gals with psychic powers. They get this through a thing in their brain that makes them contact with the otherworld and grants them great power. The Wao call their Nephilims "Wise ones" and normally put them in leadership positions.

The Order of the Merciful Hand
Order of the Merciful Hand-A military order of religious warrior-monks and nuns, the Order try to make the galaxy peaceful and safe as best they can.
Demon Hunters-People who hunt Demons and Cultist, they are typically orphans of Demon or Cultist attacks. All of them are psychic,and all have a hate for Demons and Cultist.
Justicars-The lawkeepers, they keep the law as best as they can, in worlds long abandoned by the nations of the galaxy.
Hospitaller-The Doctors of the Order.
Vark-Called the Land of Trade, Vark is a peaceful system, where all the races of the galaxy can live peacefully, it has seen many attempts to take it over, in which the Royal guard has beaten every time.
The Blackwatch-Also called “The Exiles” the Blackwatch were once a powerful group of Wao who had great influence on the Wao people. That is until they committed the massacre of Fea, with along with their other massacres lead them to being exiled. The Wao do not know what happened to the Blackwatch after their exile, nor do they care.
The Ragon Empire-The Ragon Empire is a dystopia, simply put, where oppression is just a part of everyday life for a typical life and their slaves. The Empire is a one-party state with the Goth Dynasty calling the shots on everything, such as laws, declaring wars and foreign relations. While the Warmaster controls the military, though he is actually brainwashed to agree with everything the Emperor says, even if it requires the death of thousands. The Ragon main pride is their military, which only Ragon can join, and is considered the top dog in terms of military might. All Ragon, besides the disabled can join the military, and most do, especially the sons and daughters of the nobility. The military still uses melee troops, which are surprisingly effective, but pilots are quite lacking, expect ones coming from the two families that design and manufacture the Empires aircraft, and sons and daughters join the air force to hone their skills. There are also families for naval and ground vehicles, and their sons and daughters are often the best in the military, through there is no family for tactics. The military is split into Ground forces (RGF) Naval Forces (RNF) Juskar (Special Forces) and Charions, the super soldiers of the Ragon. The air force is a part of the Naval Forces. The current emperor of the Ragon empire is Lugoth, a member of the Goth Dynasty, and warmaster is Loasua.
A note on Ragon names, the first three letters in their name is their first name, with the last letters in their name being their last, for example Loa equals First name, and Sua equals last, creating Loasua. Ragon also often have titles next to their names, such as Kasua the berserker or Loasua the magnificent.
The slaves of the Empire are either bought or born into it. They are not treated well at all, and live in poor living conditions. Really poor living conditions, but most slaves die to the rifle then natural causes, such as starvation or infection. Due to most Ragon being brainwashed with propaganda at birth. The Ragon view the Slaves as nothing but workers, insects to be killed when out of line.
The Ragon are also a warrior culture, and have centuries of practice at total war, Illgoth, the first Ragon Emperor, used this to forge the Ragon Empire. The Ragon view war as a necessary evil, something needed to keep people in line, but also improve your nation as you see fit. Rebellions are quite common in the Empire, and the Empire is very strife ridden.

The Republic of Gaia-The main human nation, the Republic of Gaia is a federal republic, with sectors acting as their own governments while the central government handles foreign issues. The Empire is ruled by a President, who is in power for two terms and is keep in check by both the military and other government branches. The Empire is the 3rd largest, next to the Thresians and Ragon Empires. The empire is known for its “Peaceful but powerful” doctrine, which states that every able body male but at least have military training and own a weapon, a slug-thrower is minimum, these males must serve in the Colonial Militia during wartime, or if they want too, the Marines. The Empire also has the most powerful titans, 5-10 km long warships armed with the best weapons and crew that the empire has, the Titan has replaced the Dreadnought as the most powerful warship in the Empires navy, and there is about three of them. The Empire’s military, the Gaia Defense Force, is a proud part of the empire, and has saved the Empire from threats, both foreign and domestic many times. The GDF (Gaia Defense Force) is separate into four branches, Navy, Marine, Colonial Militia and Specters, the Specters are the supersoldiers in the human military, and are made up of the best of the best in the GDF across all branches (Including the Office of Intelligence sometimes). The foreign and domestic intelligence agency is the Office of intelligence, who are characterized as emotionless government spooks, who do not care for life, this is actually mostly true, as when a OI agent is recruited, they are brain washed into being loyal to the Empire and only the Empire. The GDF is known to hire mercenaries to help them, such as the famed Blackwatch and other famous (Or Infamous) mercenary organizations, on that note, the Order of The Merciful Hand(Sometimes just goes by The Merciful Hand) has been fighting with the Empire in court to not be listed as a mercenary group.
One of the most prestigious parts of the Empires government is the Council, the lawmaking body, that also decides on matters too important and pressing for one person, the President to decide alone. The Council is made up the most well known and most importantly, smartest politicians. The Councilmen or women are often in their 50’s to 70’s and wear traditional robes based off the robes of the Sydious (Roman) senate in antiquity. The Empire is known to have fascist tendencies and sometimes can be very imperialist, trying to gain an edge against the Ragon Empire, like the Ragon empire, Gaia is on the hunt for Precursor artifacts.
The empire is often attacked by Selouians, mostly just rogue military units, though sometimes it is an act of war from the Selouian Hegemony. The Hegemony’s and Gaian’s relationship is almost as fragile as the Ragon Empire, due to the Hegemony losing pretty much everything in the First Contact war , such as the rich slag deposits in the Orion galactic arm. Talks to make relations better have gotten nowhere.

The Thresian Empire-The Thresian Empire.
The Thresian Empire is the government of the Threisan people, authoritarian but more lax on issues then the Ragon Empire. The Thresian Empire is ruled both by an Emperor and Senate, through there have been numerous times where the Emperor has tried to turn into a tyrant. All have been brought down by the Imperial Guard, but some have turned into short civil wars, the most recent in 2472, when Emperor La’sha tried to become a tyrant. The Thresian Empire has a lack of living space in their cities, due to inefficient city planning, and horrendous traffic is an everyday aspect of a Thresian life. The Empire’s military often hire mercenaries of any race and morality to help them in their conquest.
The Thresian’s Imperial Guard is the largest of their military branches, they are the lands forces, and are very mobile, and are one of the few military forces to still use Gauss Guns, which have proven to be effective for the Thresians.
The Yisuta Shogunate-The government of the Yisuta, the peaceful bear like race of the galaxy. The Shogunate is ruled by all clans, each clan taking turns to rule the Shogunate, and each clan is basically its own country, with its own foreign policy, trade partners and military. The Shogunate though is united by one thing, their religion. The Yisuta believe in the Four Goddesses, who made natures peace, the natural cycle of the world, The Yisuta believe that hunting and killing animals is a part of this cycle, and one of the many goals that the Four Goddesses put on Mortals. The Yisuta home is often elegant, with breath taking architecture and entrainment. Yisuta food is also elegant and mouthwatering in appearance, and most Yisuta still follow the traditional ways of cooking.
The Yisuta worlds left their homeworld for it being a death world, with the smallest insets being able to kill a full grown human in a matter of seconds. This made them superstitious to nature, and the Yisuta never wandered alone into the jungle like forest of their homeworld.
The Yisuta military uses power armor the most, with most of their soldiers being equipped in power armor, through it does not boast increased strength, as the Yisuta are already supernaturally strong, but instead increases the survival, speed and reaction time of the wearer. This makes the Yisuta military one of the best in the galaxy, but there military is not standardized, due to the clans having different strategies and approaches to war. But most clans take a defensive approach to war, and the Yisuta have not been on the offensive military wise since 2455.
The Yisuta are considered the most peaceful and wise race in the galaxy, though they humbly deny this. They do not see the true threat the heretics are, and think they will just blow over in the next couple of years.
The Wolfen Kingdom-The government of the Wolfen, they are known for their dictatorial king and effective military for it's small size.
The Irathit Tribes-The tribes of the Irathits that have gained star travel or care enough about it to gain star travel.

The Ragon or Raggies as I like to call them are the boss of our little galaxy. Having the largest empire in the galaxy helps being in that category. The Raggies love conquering other races and enslaving them, which has caused tension between the Raggies and former slaves in our ranks. Nothing major though, if you don’t count that one time a Ragon tried to kill a Ferovi. Besides that the Ragon are lead by the Goths. Who are the goths? Assholes is what the Ragon and slaves who join us say. The Goths are the dictators of their little empire and are a dynasty, with one heir ready to replace the Emperor if he gets offed. Theres only been one Empress, Tengoth after Illgoths death ever since then it’s been men. According to the Ragon there are other positions of government but they do little besides the warmaster, who leads all the Raggies military operations. The Ragon emperors are guarded by these guys called Emperors Angels, who are all Nephilims.
The Ragon aren’t complete assholes to everyone it seems, they have alien auxiliaries that get better treatment than the slaves, the Mygria being a example. They have their own vassal nations that the Ragon empire controls. These vassals have to help the Ragon during war or they get their vassal hood revoked and the Ragon come to deal some cans of whoopass.
The Ragon being a warrior culture also helps. I’ve looked in the archives when I was in Bellum and from the uncensored stuff I gathered that they have been fighting each other for centuries before a man named Illgoth. This Illgoth united the Ragon under one flag and took over some alien races to create the Ragon Empire.
Gaians (Humans)
The Gaians are race that did the thing thought impossible-successfully defend against a Ragon attempt to enslave you. While they didn’t win, but lead the war into a bloody stalemate until the Ragon gave up. Ever since then the Ragon and Gaians have been fighting a cold war with a DMZ separating the two races. The Gaians have made themselves home in the galaxy, establishing a presence that says one thing-Power through Democracy-no that does not mean the Gaians are freedom loving heroes, they have done many, many bad things and some say they are getting as bad as the Ragon Empire, through that would be another great feat in itself. The Gaians through are known for their policy of leaving planets to die so the military personnel and ships can be saved to fight another day. Sometimes leaving the civilian populace to die if they don’t have the time or resources.
Their religion is what they call Jrovaism, which is the belief in some guy in the sky that controls order and another guy in the ground that controls chaos. Jrova and Hrova. Jrova is the holiest of the holy according to the Gaians.

The Yisuta are an honorable race of monks, priest and clans. They are very religious, wishing to be one with nature and enjoy “natures peace”. They are considered the best poets and storytellers in the Galaxy with their poems of war and nature being best sellers even in the Ragon Empire. The Yisuta are big, standing at seven feet or above and are also really strong.

The Yisuta are also bound by a code, called Senguk, this code makes the Yisuta who they are-honorable and peaceful warriors.

There are also seven clans that are basically their own little nations that are supervised by the Shogun. Each clan has it’s own armor color and the Yisuta in the Wao often paint their modified armor in that color.

The Fevori are a race that had the misfortune of being enslaved by the Ragon. Noted for their marksmanship the Fevori are used as snipers in the Ragon military. The Fevori are a cultured race, sharing a culture similar to the Ragon but less extreme. The Fevori that join us are often on the run and come to the Wao for protection because slavers have to be pretty stupid to attack the Wao. Fevori males have horns on their heads while females just have black spots were the horns are, the size of their horn brings pride to the Fevori and they often cut off the horn of slayed Fevori to keep as trophies.
Most Fevori are unreligious, due to the Ragon basically killing their traditions and religion and have a hard time adjusting to the freedom we provide, always asking for orders and what to do next.

The Irathit are a avian species that are consider savages due to their habit of cannibalizing enemies and even fellow Irathits. The Irathit are able to eat pretty much anything, even things consider toxic to other races. The Irathit can fly for a short time, which they normally due to get into ambush positions. Many races have tried to conquer the Irathit homeworld, a jungle world with few cities only to be put in a unpopular costly war until they retreat through the Irathit don’t seem to care about conquest but just getting standards which is why most of them become pirates. The Irathit all have a tribe they belong to and to show what tribe they are in they paint their bodies with woad.
The Irathit are fast, very very fast making them excellent scouts and snipers.
Wolfen.
People say that the Wolfen were once human, and judging by their biology they are. But the Wolfen are humans who have mutated to look like wolves, well, wolves that have a human frame on them. This is due to the toxicity of their homeworld-Gama-another side effect is that they have to wear gas mask like devices to live on other worlds and spend a good part of their day in a pressured building to keep them alive. The Wolfen are ruled by a Konig, who is pretty much a slightly worse dictator then the Goths right now and are known for their secret police-The Jesters-who often pretend to be jesters to spy on leaders of other nations hence the name.

The Mygria are a race of ape like brutes that are a vassal of the Ragon and their long time ally and friends. The Mygria are often called to break defensive positions or assist Ragon troops. For some reason the Mygria prefer to use primitive technology as their weapons, using the Type-24 carbine for centuries which is a gauss gun when most people are using plasma weaponry. The Mygria consider themselves a big tribe as of now, with the Goths as their “Grand Chieftain”
Milirians are a race of unnaturally beautiful humanoids. The Milirians are slaves of the Ragon who are often made into concubines due to their beauty. The Milirians are born with telekinesis that is weak unless trained. Milirians are the leaders of the resistance to the Ragon, which is fitting because they put up the best fight against the Ragon in Illgoths expansion. Milirians are slaves of the Ragon Empire.

Konari are a race of fish like aliens who are famed for their weapon and ship designs. They can breathe above water and are able to swim underwater and not drown due to their biology. Konari also do traditional dances similar to Russian folk dances that are famous with many celebrities learning to gain better relations with the public. The Konari are also slaves of the Ragon Empire.

The Liraz are a reptilian race hailing for Boas. They are known for their culture being based around slavery with most Liraz becoming slavers. The Liraz have one nation, the Kingdom of Lire, based in the western fringe of the galaxy all other Liraz ‘nations’ are warlords and pirates. Lire economy is based of slavery and mercenary work.

The Thresians are the third galactic power of the galaxy, known for their hyperness and fast talking. The Thresians are similar to the Ragon, through not a warrior culture the Thresians are an Empire and have an Emperor and much more. The Thresians love two things-Gladiatorial games and resources, often invading other nations to take the resource rich worlds in them.
Beyonders-The Beyonders are the precursors of the galaxy, disappearing millions of years ago before current sentient races were even sentient. The Beyonders created the Engineers to help them in their research and one race as their successors. No one knows who the successors are.
Moire-The Moire are an insectoid race from the eastern fringe of the galaxy who produce asexually, their young being in cocoons and their young spending five years as larvae before becoming adults by Moire standards. The Moire have a caste system with the larvae role being decided before they become adults. The Moire can breathe and live on their homeworld fine and can survive the pressure of space for a short amount of time,but need mask that covers their nose and mouth to live on other planets.

Through popular with non-Wao mercenaries and bounty hunters, the Protector Armor is considered the iconic armor of the Wao warriors. The Protector offers military-grade protection from Plasma and laser shots which has made some nations and organizations try to ban the armor from private use. The Protector is customizable, here are some ways the Wao customize their armor.

-Energy Shield.
-Motion scanner.
The Protector, a icon of the Wao is also giving personalized marks and such. A famous phase Voda Ads “Battle Brother” is popular with male Wao warriors, with females replacing the Ads with Eds. These phrases are often put on the helmet, be it cheekplate or forehead.

The ET-12 Carbine is the favored weapon of the Wao, having been their iconic weapon since the 23rd century with Wao weaponsmiths updating and upgrading it. The Wao call this weapon “Sora” which means “Beast” due to it’s stopping power. The Wao also add sigils to the weapon and even words in the Wao language such as “Take That”.
The ET-12 may also have dog tags strapped around it or the owners name inscribed on it’s buttstock. The dog tags often contain a phrases and words such as “Orphan”

The War of Brothers-The Wao Civil War took place in 2340 starting as a of two clans that turned into a full blown civil war among the clans. This war was very costly and nearly destroyed the Wao.
The Massacre of Fea-Blackwatch soldiers massacred two hundred Wao warriors on the planet of Senia. This resulted in the exile of all of the Blackwatch. Date-2423.
