It is also impractical.

We risk being at odds with Franco-Spain which borders pretty much all of our new colonies. Along with potentially Venice-Pope-Thingy who would border pretty much every colony I requested not in North America.

There's also Finland and Russia I have to worry about (regardless of you) so I mean.

For now, we can agree to a non-aggression pact. Later in the RP, we could perhaps agree to an alliance.

Russia, though, is negotiating an alliance with Prussia. You ally with Prussia, you prevent Russian invasion. Non-Agression pact with Prussia, though, does not have the same effect.

Meh. NAP with a smaller power isn't really all that important for us, though. If anything we'd be able to take the opportunity of war to expand Holstein into Slesvig, even though it isn't our aim at the moment.

Prussia doesn't know of it ICly, similarly that the Bourbons and Italians don't know of the Prussian-Russian alliance in the works.

But I'm planning ahead ICly here, even though I don't think the coalition makes any sense. Like at all. For the reasons I mentioned in my mega-post.

If Denmark allies with Prussia to receive a buffer against the Bourbons for a planned war on Finland, it's meta gaming, as Finland isn't ICly allied to them as of now. That would be like if the Soviet Union allied with the West before Operation Barbarossa or if Japan didn't attack Pearl Harbour because the US would eventually use nukes. Meta gaming is frowned down upon.

No, that was my mistake. I wasn't aware that the Finnish alliance thing hadn't been signed ICly yet.

Edit: Is there even a Bourbon-Finnish alliance in the works period? I just know he is trying to not die to Russia via the pope, but not the Bourbons.

Just throwing that out there, the peace between the Danish Lutherans and the Catholic minority is very fragile.
