Well I dunno now, I am in limbo until I hear about the new claims.

Initially it was mainly try and grow the two colonies in Canada and try and not die in Europe.

Anti-Prussian coalition or at least keep balance of power equalized in Europe.

As for colonies, build up Mississippi and Mexico. Not really sure what to do. I'm gonna just go with whats going on till I can wait it out until its revolution time.

It doesn't make any sense for them to get involved, though.

This is one of my biggest hatreds of NS RPing; dogpiling. If this were the real world, none of those nations would want to even get involved in Poland. The Bourbons risk having some of their most fertile lands in France being ravaged by the Prussian army, Austro-Germany risks loosing the support of Pro-Prussians in it's nation (which, I'd imagine, would be a large amount of people) and Venice just doesn't have any reason to go to war. The only thing I can think of is if they were to claim that they're fighting for the faith, which even then is incorrect considering that Prussia is basically secular, but is Lutheran, and Russia is Orthodox. While they could claim to be fighting heretics, they risk having social unrest in Lutheran/Calvinist areas (of which, by the way, there are everywhere).

There is a reason why, IOTL, Poland-Lithuania was eaten by Prussia, Russia and Austria. That reason is, and I'm oversimplifying a bit but eh, governments don't jump for the chance to go to war unless it benefits them. War with two of the most powerful nations in Europe doesn't benefit anyone.

Just some "food for thought" before we advance.

Not sure what happened in those other 3-4 pages of OOC I don't bother reading, but no. This is the 17th hundreds dear. Coalitions and dogpile was how war was done at this time, believe it or not. Now, the Bourbons do put themselves at risk, but, I have formed a giant coalition of states to combat Prussia from gaining more influence in Europe. It's too strong, and many of your border states don't want you strong. I've weaved a web, quite quickly if I may say, to combat this. Sucks to suck, but did you see the War of the Spanish Sucession? Literally everyone against France and part of Spain. Now, it's the reverse *insert bitch head nod.* If Prussia tries to expand it's influence, it's gonna be a major war. Attacking Poland, an Austria Protectorate, brings in the Austria bringing in me, and with support from Venice cause you know, alliances. You put yourself in a bad place and I weaved a coalition to prevent you from becoming stronger. There are benefits to every nation to attack you, and I'm ready :3

Now, i don't know if you've noticed anything, but only three of those wars are based on your idea of a coalition war. Three in an entire century. Three of them are based on successions, two on revolutions and one on a drastic change of government in one of Europe's leading powers. So, tell me again how 'Coalitions and dogpile was how war was done at this time'. The Great Northern War, one of the few applicable to this idea of yours, was caused by Sweden rapidly expanding, over the course of about two years, to challenge the power of Russia. In comparison, Prussia has been growing steadily for over 350 years. If anything, Prussia has a reason to contain Franco-Spain which doubled in size in a matter of a year. The Seven Year's War is the next war compatable to your idea. And for the most part I will concede, as it was a coalition war. It wasn't, however, just to 'contain' a nation. It was due to the complex politics following the mess that was the War of the Austrian Succession. Oh, and by the way, a big part of that war was France, Spain and Russia attempting to contain Prussia, so this 'web' you're talking about has already been tried, and already failed. Though, of course, ITTL France and Spain would have been one entity I assume.

So, Mr. Smart Buj, hardly any wars in the 1700's were based on huge coalitions and dogpiling, and those that were had massive reasons behind them, such as successions and colonial revolutions.

Hmmm. I think this "pro-africanism" is a bit of a too-early construct. Perhaps its just me, but I think your nation, realistically, would be interested more in gaining land and becoming stronger, and if that means working with Europeans and such, so be it. Besides, does Zimbabwe know much about most of the other african colonies. Actually, better yet, why would they care about these other nations much? It just seems like the idea doesn't make much sense.

But, whatever. Rest is good. Accepted.

I agree. A united African identity, if you can even call it that, didn't even begin to exist until the Scramble for Africa when most of Africa was under European hegemony. And even then, it was more like 'hey the Europeans suck more than you suck'. An idea of Pro-Africanism would, also, be pretty disastrous economically if they're refusing to trade with Europe. But I get the feeling that's not as far as they'd go.
