Cotillion is a little direct for the setting, our Gods are more aloof here.

Okay, maybe a less direct version of Cotillion.

So, no Sorry/Apsalar or anything like that. Despite how awesome she is.

Oh? Do we still need one?

Gonna introduce a god of chaos and destruction into the RP via the amulet where he whispers only thoughts of the end.

Elerian wrote:How good is the WoT series? I've been told it was good but it hasn't been high on my list of things to read.

It's a good series. Especially if you like very traditional, Tolkien-esque, good vs. evil type fantasy (though it's a bit more complex than LotR, and given its length, it damn well should be). It might feel a bit cliche if you're used to stuff like A Song of Ice and Fire, but it's also considerably older. Robert Jordan's writing was a big influence on many current fantasy authors.

There's a bit of a dip in pace towards the middle of the series, but it picks back up again towards the end.

While Malazan, Kushiel's/Naamah's Legacy, and A Song of Ice and Fire have surpassed WoT in my favorites, WoT is still up there. It's traditional fantasy done superbly, with a huge world and tons of characters and factions.

Note, I've kinda decided that at least in Felurin, Vidia, due to her "judging in the afterlife" role, is death-aspected.

Gora is also somewhat dark in Felurin's worship. Dark isn't necessarily evil, though.

Also worth pointing out that not all the gods get along with each other, despite not really being good or evil. Gandolo isn't necessarily evil, but is okay with productive greed, which puts him somewhat at odds with Vidia, who values fairness over productivity. Mauro, despite being lightbringer, can be viewed as somewhat of an arrogant douche by his detractors, and doesn't get on well with Gora.

Yeah, I like gray gods, even if they're dark gray or light gray. Gods of a specific THING, as opposed to good/evil. Even a god of killing might not be ENTIRELY evil, as execution and slaying of evil ones would fall under them.
