There are like five main deities already, I thought.

Mauro, Gandolo, Cierin, Vidia, and Gora.

I've kinda decided that at least in Felurin, Vidia, who judges souls after death, is kind of a dark goddess but who is also relatively good.

I didn't know that was one of Balor's powers. That's fine I'd just want to know how powerful you are in equivalent to souls you can consume. Like what is your max feat?

Well no spoilers, I've only just finished Gardens of the Moon. Each book is just so packed with lore though that you feel like an expert after just one, and I am frightened by how much more there is.

Edit: You should do some RPing with Videssos, unless you are Videssos. I remember him being quite the fan and he is a great writer.

Yeah, if we're going with the Orcs are marauding bands of raiders trope that constantly raid non-Orc lands because that's just what they do, then any countries who border the lands where Orcs dwell would have very militarized societies and large standing armies (and 1000 is, as has been pointed out, incredibly puny), such as the Borderlands in Wheel of Time, or Gondor and Rohan in LotR. Orcs would be something those societies would ICly know about, and so those borders would be quite fortified. Because nobody would go "Oh, there are Orcs out there who often raid our villages, but I'm going to forget about that and not do anything to stop it." The Orcs aren't organized, no, but to villagers, they are terrifying, likely. Even autocratic rulers tend to have to do something if their citizens are up in arms about being attacked.

Something I've always wondered though... what do Orcs do when they're not launching raids on people? What is the rest of Orc society like?

Also, evil has Mad Dog. I think. Wait, is he even on a side other than the "being batshit crazy" side?

Deity of: Golems, Miners, Mountains, Smiths, Smithies and Forging.
Personality: Arrogant, prone to anger but generally quite friendly.
Lore: Metallos is credited as being the God who forged the Earth in all her glory, in his great and all powerful Ever Forge. He created vast mountains of rock, filled with mighty gems and valuable resources once Mauro had given life to the shell that was the original world. After this, Metallos saw it fitting to create his own peoples for a world that he created; so he created the Golems, vaguely in his image to inhabit his mountains and be their keepers.

Point taken, it's up to Elerian.

Counter point, you won't have your assassins marching in the open field either. You won't be subject to dozens dying in enemy cavalry charges, and barrages of holy spells.

They also will be unlikely to stay in groups for long. As well as being spread out here and there and everywhere.

Yeah, assassins can be powerful at what they're good at, but they're not all that much use in an open fight.

Like in Malazan, the Claws are super scary if they're after you, but they can't really stand up to an actual army.

You should read more of Malazan. But then, my opinion is biased, as it is by far my favorite fantasy series. Once you're done with the ten books of the Malazan Book of the Fallen, as well as Ian Esslemont's Novels of the Malazan Empire that fit between some of them, you should read Forge of Darkness the start of the Kharkanas Trilogy, which is all about the Tiste Andii.

You should read more of Malazan. But then, my opinion is biased, as it is by far my favorite fantasy series.
