I mean from making my own army through necromancy and orcs and various parts of your forces. They'd still be under your command I'd just be serving you and the price would be Mauro's destruction whether by your hand or mine.

It could weaken them, I suppose. But not kill. As you mention, there are still Elder Gods who are alive despite being largely forgotten by mortals. While hypothetically it could be possible to kill gods and such, for the purposes of this RP, I would just assume that for player characters it is not a possibility. And certainly not through just killing worshipers.

And it would be a lot of wasted effort.
