Who is that? The Asari Councilor or something?
If so, I may (as in totally will) get the Asari to back my diplomatic talks with the Krogan. The Salarians would be somewhat easy to fold to my side, despite being wary of the Krogan.

I think the Asari will be neutral and the Salarians are going to try and exploit the situation.
