Taliyn was putting the finishing touches on something that looked like an intercom system with a number keypad below it, attached to the wall next to her door, where a doorbell would be on a more normal house, when the courier showed up. Naturally, being jumpy as she was and having not expected someone to come out in the middle of nowhere in a place surrounded by rad scorpions, she stuck a gun in his face and made her accusations and questions to him.

She lowered her weapon and relaxed a bit when he informed her of his intentions and why he was there and handed her the letter. she took it and shooed him off, making sure he was out of sight before she stored her gun and stuffed the unopened note in a coat pocket, planning on reading it later.

It was only after she was sure all the securities were up and working and the locks firmly secured and she wouldnt have any problems, and had carved the numbers meant to be punched into the keypad into the flat underside of a random rock near her house and painted them glittery gold, did she finally sit down and take a look at the note.

She honestly had no idea what she was reading or what it meant. Why was she being sent east? Why did she need robots protecting her? She just sat there in her comfortable, over stuffed massage recliner she had recently gotten delivered along the way, mumbling questions to herself and making it obvious, to herself anyways, that this was all confusing and made no sense.

She felt she must call someone. It was just then that she remembered the special enclave radio she had received before heading into zion. It was getting late and the sun was allready dipping below the horizon, so she thought and mumbled to herself that she might not reach the colonel, but she had to try. She couldnt get sleep with all this confusion rumbling around in her head.

It took a bit of rummaging around her place to find what she was looking for, but in the end she did. One of the few things she had not taken out of her duffle bag all this time.

She pulled it out and charged it and then sat back in her recliner with her note and the radio in hand, and eventually getting the colonel's card out of her pocket that she had with his name and info and how to reach him and whatnot, after she realized she hadnt remembered any of that.

After reading the information she needed and was sure she would memorize it, she stuffed the card back where she had got it on her person and started fiddling around with the dials on the radio, trying to hail the colonel and ask if he knew what the heck was going on.

"Attention any enclave personnel. This is Taliyn Markov. Enclave scientist, marker number 47102, requesting communication with Colonel Carl Von switz. Direct contact to this officer is of the upmost importance. Please be advised."

This message would be transmitted from her radio to every frequency she could find untill either the colonel or some other enclave personnel would respond.

Hill Air Force base

parade square

4 groups of 60 enclave soldiers (total 240) stood in gaggles on the corners of the parade square. The men chatted about a whole variety of topics from the weather to theodicy of hurry up and wait to most anything else. Suddenly a piercing yell filled the parade square as the RSM yelled out. "Form up!" The men needn't be told twice for they knew that that was the RSM asking nicely, even if he wasn't asking. All 240 men flew to their respective positions in ranks. Each platoon warrant officer took up his position at the front while his second in command took his position. Within a few minutes of each other each platoon had been called to March in an open order position, creating a gap in ranks through which their officers could walk and inspect them. Nothing changed since the enclave declined as far as quality was concerned. Platoon one and 2 had formed into Alpha company while three and four had formed bravo company. The company sergeant-major, Colonel Carl Von Switz stood confidently in his enclave officer uniform In front of 120 subordinates, most of whom rested inside their issued power armour.

The RSM called out "CSM Switz what's your count?" The Csm came to attention and yelled at a blood curdling level "120 sir" before returned to an at ease stance. The parade went on as normal until an hour had passed and they were dismissed back to their duties.

Radio shack
The Colonel walked back to the radio shack. It was his turn to supervise the radio operators. Immediately after entering the operators went stiff as a board until he said "relax". "Report" he demanded. "Sir we have received a communication from a Tailyn Markov". The news was surprising and welcome. "Go on" he nudged. "She wishes to speak with you". "Finally, good news." He snatched the communicator and began to speak. "Hello ms.Markov. This is Colonel Carl Von Switz. What do you need?".

Taliyn
The girl was taking a distracting break from communicating on the radio and trying to get ahold of this colonel person when she heard the transmission on the radio. Naturally, having been distracted and caught off guard by the squeaking sound radios make when someone speaks into them, she briefly freaked out in shock and surprise and tumbled to the floor along with her office chair she had been falling out of at the time.
After she had regained her wits about things and managed to sooth her minor injuries sustained from falling over out of shock and surprise and had reoriented herself and everything that had fallen over, she fiddled around with the radio a bit and, once she got it to where she needed it and had tuned it correctly, she spoke into it.

"Greetings Colonel. This is Taliyn Markov speaking. I am glad I finally caught you. I have been trying to get ahold of you for awhile.
We have several things to discuss. First off, I recall you wishing for a missive regarding zion canyon once I managed to come back from it.
I now have done so, and I have to say... that place is a deathtrap. I do understand we wish to return the united states back to it's former glory, but I got to say... that place just isnt worth it. All it is, is a bunch of rocks and some multi-colored trees that bear no fruit and dont seem to have any enstringic value aside from being chopped down for wood.

There are a few clean, non-irradiated rivers there mind you, but unless there is a plan to build a aqua pura manufacturing and bottling plant there, even that would be a pointless endeavor. The rivers and other occasional water sources are often hidden away or just plain difficult to get to, the place is crawling with cliffs and other high up drop-offs that would either kill you or just cause you to break your bones if you fall off them, which is easy to do if your too distracted by the scenery or by someone shooting you, to see where your going. Plus its as dark as pitch out there are night. Dark enough that even a flashlight has difficulty shining into it unless it's one thats super high powered. Good luck not falling off a cliff when you cant see anything.

Then theres the other disasters. There are cracks and fissures in the upper hills that you dont really notice untill you fall into them, which range from being small enough to sprain or break an ankle in them, to being deep and wide enough for you to get stuck in and die or in the case of the ones near a cliff, fall down and out of and plummet to your death. There are landslides, wild animals that would as soon tear you limb from limb as look at you, poisonous plants, not to mention one that looks like a giant venus fly trap that spits acid at you... dont want to relive that again..

And if the natural dangers werent bad enough, there are too many different indigenous backwards tribes in there to count. I mean really backwards. wearing animal skins, speaking in some incomprehensible gibberish language, wielding axes and throwing spears and attacking you on sight. And thats just the traditional ones. I dunno if there used to be a military outpost down there pre-war or something but I ran across several animal skin wearing tribal people with machine guns or submachine guns, and they were not friendly in the slightest, lemme tell you..

Suffice to say, the place is a tribal warzone and a deathtrap for any unwarey travelers. I cannot see any strategic advantage to taking over that pile of rocks, military, societal or otherwise. The canyon walls are too narrow and close together for any tactical advantage... if your men got blocked in one of those passageways, it would be a massacre. The cliffs are unsteady and often enough not clear enough to notice untill your allready on or near the edge of one of them, the few pre-war structures there are mostly abandoned look out towers or the occasional allready looted shop... anyone trying to eek out a living there is liable to get themselves killed, and I can say that from experience, feeling the need to help out some locals fed off a yao gaui or some tribals, just out of hope that if they survive long enough, they might be appreciative when and if the enclave might decide to march in and take back control, which I might point out seems like a futile endeavor.

I went in with 3 other individuals after our last comminque... only me and one other made it out alive as far as Im aware. I did manage to make some notes and snap some pictures of all the locals I could find there. Luckily not all the tribals are hostile, but given the fact that the ones that are outnumber the ones that are not, Im surprised the peaceful ones have survived this long, and I dont expect the peacefull ones to last much longer. Or anyone else that isnt a overly zealous gun tooting tribal willing to massacre anyone that isnt one of them. I am honestly surprised I managed to escape with my skin intact, sir.
I do not recommend trying to take over that place unless we have no other choice.

Now with that being said, I do believe there might be a good enough reason to head back in, if I had enough equipment and some armed guards with me. There was an inaccessible ridge that I spotted with something on it that I was only able to detect one of the last days I was there due to the glint of light bouncing off it. Even my high powered binoculars could not fully make out what it was. But it was big and round-ish and did not appear to be something we can make now adays. I do believe whatever it was, to be some sort of pre-war tech or structure. The part of the canyon that lead to where this object or structure was, has long since collapsed on itself and sealed off the only way I could see from my vantage point, to get to whatever it was on the other side. I couldnt be sure whether or not that is true though, given that whenever I tried to get close, some hostile tribals that had set up camp nearby, were constantly shooting at me. Im not fully sure what it is, but I do feel it might be important and certainly pre-war. I just cannot gain access to it at this time. I felt you would be interested in knowing of this circumstance.

Now, onto more pressing matters and why I initially tried to get in touch with you.

I have recently come into possession of a notice from one General KL-04. That alone baffles me. That is not a person's name.
Thats a cereal number for a product, which makes me wonder if the rest of this is a prank.

The message reads as thus.

[Greetings, Miss Taliyn. I was informed recently that your
Enclave superiors in the east have given us permission to give you a free transport over to the capital wasteland.
Please report to New Vegas for transport. (Please be aware, testing for this type of power source is in it's alpha stage, so we apoligize for any injuries.)
We will be giving a escort of 4 Robobrains and 4 Mister Gutsys. We will drop you off in the Capital Wasteland, near D.C]

This message in of itself makes no sense to me. So I was wondering if you knew anything about it or could get in touch with anyone who does.

This message gives no indication as to who this general is or why he or she is giving me a transport to the other side of the country. That alone is cause for alarm. Just a random note from a courier giving me instructions to go to new vegas and get a ride to the capital wasteland. No explanation as to why or how.

Which brings me to my next point. The power source. This message just randomly mentions a prototype power source part way through, out of the blue. Does it mean the note itself has a power source? Is it going to explode like in some pre-war spy movie?
Do these robots that are accompanying me or the vehicle I am riding in going to have a volatile power source? It gives no explanation to this.
Just that some obscure thing having to do with me going to the capital wasteland, is going to have a new power source.

Then there is the comment of the robots themselves. The message speaks of robots known to often be used in battle.
Meaning whoever is trying to send me to the capital wasteland clearly expects me to be shot at. This concept concerns me greatly.

As I have stated to you before, I am not a soldier. I only learned how to use a gun out of necessity. I am quite not thrilled at the concept of someone feeling the need for me to go somewhere where I have such a high probability of getting shot at that I need several armed military robots defending me.

I guess in the end, its just that this whole concept, this entire note makes no sense to me.
And even less that someone bothered to come out to my home in the middle of the desert, surrounded by rad scorpions, to give it to me.

Do you know about this or know anyone who could explain what is going on, to me? Whatever this general is trying to portray in this note is lost to me.
I dont understand the meaning behind this note or why I should go to the capital wasteland just to get shot at.

Anyways, I will just take a breather now and let you speak colonel. This is taliyn markov, waiting to hear your response."

The guards walked him to the administrative office where a military official sat and was informed on what they were hoping to do. He said "I am Staff Sargent George Wallis of the Vegas Homeguard Battalion. Alright, here's a document that will confirm the position of you're company as a non-aligned government sanctioned private security and protection service company. There are a few questions you'll need to answer before I'll hand you this to sign they are easy. First and foremost, will you're company be in the civilian sector, the police sector or the military sector, please note, you may pick any combination of these three, and along with that is where geographically you plan on conducting sales and contracts."

Colonel Perseus Winters
Hotel Room, Rivet City
The Capital Wasteland

The cold bucket water sent a wave of relief through Percy's entire body, and he looked through the dusty, cracked mirror into his own baby blue eyes, nearly succumb to tears. Every waking second he stood out in that Wasteland, he died inside. To think that the greatest country in the world could be tearing itself apart at every waking moment was incomprehensible, unbelievable, and Percy wished that he could travel back to the Old World. America was but a fragment of its former self... shattered. Percy just hoped the Chinese bit it twice as hard.

Percy's thoughts were interrupted by a loud knock at the door of his Hotel room. "One second!" Percy called. He wiped his face dry with a towel and took a deep breath. He opened the door, greeting by an Enclave Soldier in Tesla Armor who saluted. "Colonel" he greeted, and Percy saluted back.

"At ease" responded Percy, and the Soldier did as he commanded. The Soldier handed Percy an envelope. Percy nodded, looking at them curious. "You know what this about?".

"Comes from the top, sir. High Command, addressing you about a few things. Nothing urgent, by my understanding, but it's mostly confidential". Percy nodded, shaking the Soldier's hand.

"Thanks, kid. Go on break, have a drink". The Soldier nodded, and Percy closed the door to his room, and began reading the letters.

Jack O'Neil

It would take quite some time for O'neil to get anywhere after he left the main dome where all those big talking floating robots had been.
Partially due to the fact that there were various bizzare creatures and people around that he had not seen before, trying to make him quite dead.

Luckily he was both a good shot and good at hiding when someone was chasing him and thus was able to manage to take down anything trying to bring him harm, even if it was difficult and he did need a few stimpacks along the way.

It wouldnt take him very long before he had started to feel the need to put small stashes of things everywhere and attach something to the stashes to let him know where they were later on so he didnt permanently lose them as he went around the various places, looting what he could.

Obadiah Blackhall: This here is called the "Trapper's Shack". It is used as a Swampfolk, or, should I say "Mutated Rednecks", as a storage base. It has a slightly heavy garrison. They also store some mutated creatures in the basement. 1 or 2 Swampfolk are located in the upper floor.

Obadiah Blackhall: Next, (dots another part on the map) this is called the Grower's Shack. The Swampfolk will have a heavy, heavy garrison to defend this area. This is most likely the main Swampfolk base in the region, as it is the most advanced place they could have. They have their main growing operation here, as they grow punga, which, as you know, and, I hope for you're sake you know how to grow it, punga is the main source of food in this place. The Swampfolk I presume eat it. When we occupy this, this should rather destroy the Swampfolk as a unifed power. After that, we just need to initiate a purge of the remaining Swampfolk. I wouldn't be surprised if the remaining ones attempted a assault on that lighthouse or the boardwalk or something ridiculous like that.

While the Enclave sits idle by, infested with political corruption and with their forces stretched thin, the Brotherhood Outcasts only grow in strength. In the wake of Enclave's victory, the shattered remnants of the Brotherhood of Steel flocked to the Outcasts, surging their numbers, and bringing an end to the grudge between the two factions. Now united, the Outcasts would take the next few months to greatly expand their influence across the Wasteland. The Enclave paid little mind as the Outcasts picked up patrols across the Wastes, and the skirmishes with Enclave Forces seemed to go unchecked. As the Outcasts gathered resources, the Enclave only exhausted them, and it wasn't long until the Enclave had a real threat on their hands.

Under the leadership of Protector Casdin, the Outcasts began to tighten the noose around the Enclave's throat. Outcast forces crushed Enclave garrisons on the outer regions of the Wasteland and have since been locking them in Fairfax and Downtown D.C., but following the attempted assassination on their President, the wrath of the Enclave has been felt across Outcast territory. Enclave Kill Teams attacking Outcast outposts, Patrols being ambushed, etc. The Outcasts have made attacks of their own, but none efficient enough to make an impact. While no real war has begun, many believe it soon will...

Radio New Vegas

Mr. New Vegas: Ladies and Gentlemen, welcome to the Radio New Vegas channel. Here to brighten up your day with some exciting, yet soft songs and some exciting news, just for you, just for the FRoM. Our little place to call home.

Mr. New Vegas: I've got some stories for you, coming up now is...

Mr. New Vegas: It's with great happiness that I can announce that RNV reporters were on site at the Dawn Memorial, which has recently finished construction near the Mojave Outpost, when several Senators announced formerly to a large crowd of people that the rumors are true: Supposed peaceful trade with the Capital Wasteland's own Enclave are true, and peaceful negotiations are underway with the Enclave Government. President Donald J. Castor, President of the Enclave, and, if you remember, former Vice President of the FRoM stated in his own speech he gave to the Capital Wasteland's people, stated early own in his speech that he seeks peace and co-operation with the FRoM. Given that our own President here at home, President Samuel Hughes, hopes for the same with the Enclave, we have high hopes for him. The Enclave are a welcome change to the tensions with the east, considering the Capital Wasteland Brotherhood of Steel's annexation attempt and the Sons of Liberty's rebellion against us, the Enclave, who's leader served on the front lines during the revolution against Caesar Lanius and his thugs. RNV has sent some reporters to interview Castor.

Mr. New Vegas: By the way, wish RNV reporters heading to the Capital Wasteland luck: We're hoping to get some interviews with High-Ranking Enclave officials. By the way, President Castor, if you're listening, good luck to you: We really hope for it.

Mr. New Vegas:...However, I can't say I have too much enthusiasm for this next story. During the same speech, sadly, a assassin, believed to be affiliated with the Sons of Liberty attempted to assassinate him. Thankfully, one of his field commanders took the shot for him...and, sadly, died. This broadcast is in memory of Colonel William Farris, a fine man who served the Enclave with pride, and was one of President Donald J. Castor's top field commanders. We will remember him for his selfless action in defending the President.

Mr. New Vegas: The Zion Canyon Expedition has officially begun, and FRoM troops and Robot Army forces are being funneled into Zion Canyon to expel hostile tribal groups, and to begin engagement with Caligula's Legion, a legion break-away state. Everybody give General Joshua Hanon a hand! No, really. Anyone who has experience with a gun should enlist.

Mr. New Vegas: The NCR isn't doing too much better, however. Reports from FRoM officials report that the NCR is currently in a state of war. A military junta has taken over Shady Sands, and what is believed to be several other high-profile locations in NCR, such as New Reno and formerly the Mojave Outpost. Opposing them is the former government of NCR. Reports are sketchy on who they are led by and where they are based. A third faction composed of anti-government Civilians. We have no reports on them. Thankfully, we have some good news! Our brave men in orange recently took over Mojave Outpost! It is now owned by the Free Republic of the Mojave. Along with this, a large contingent of our brave men, along with a sizable, "Army of Anchorage" reinforcement division have established a blockade on New Reno, and are preparing to invade the city. Let's give our boys a prayer and a steak dinner.

Mr. New Vegas: My beautiful-looking audience, perhaps this is a bit of apathetic thought that's on my head, mostly considering the situation in the NCR: But I've always wondered, what are the Shi doing? They remain always rather silent. I hope their fine, I was hoping to get one of those fancy-looking pajamas they wear. Do they sell those?

Mr. New Vegas: In some minor news, the Mighty Khans and the FRoM have made peace, as announced by Robot Army General KL-04. What are the Mighty Khans? Do any of you beautiful folks in New Vegas remember those folks down there in the Great Khans? Neither do I, at least I wish I could, considering their role as Drug Dealers. I've heard they've become racist bigots, and when I say racist, I mean literality, they don't view Hispanic, Asian, or Africans very nicely, and they shoot Super Mutants and Ghouls on sight. Who told KL-04 this was a good idea? I guess

Mr. New Vegas: Just some advisory here, citizens are advised to avoid the area surrounding the El Rey Motel. The owner of the motel, Sarah Hanks, 27, was found dead at midnight. Police Forces are looking into the murder and have blocked off the Motel. Current suspects are suspicious motel residents. I'd hate to see a serial killer in the making. Residents going though that area are advised to visit the Gun Runners before traveling though.

"The colonel waited 5 seconds before responding. "Well from what you described that canyon could be of good use as training zone for my underlings. But I will address your concern about travelling to the east. Well, you see. You may recall that While I couldn't promise anything, I did say I would try and speak to president castor. I spoke to him and while he was a little hesitant I convinced him to name you his Vice President. congratulations. However there are some that doubt castor named you vp and more that doubt your ability. You will need to prove yourself worthy of the title to many enclave citizens. I was not informed that you were going to be sent to the east. I presume that your being sent their to prove your capabilities as Vice President but I cannot be sure. As for the general you mention, I've heard of him, he's a pre-war mr gutsy robot."

Taliyn Markov

She sat in her chair, listening, as she nursed her injuries and tried to calm the pain she felt from falling just prior, as she listened to the colonel speak, completely forgetting, for the moment, that she had left her side turned on, so he could probably hear her if he bothered to care.
She would still have to press a button attached to the microphone to let him hear her actually trying to speak to him directly, but certain subtle noises would have been able to be heard. like the slight creaking of her office chair or her facepalming and mumbling in annoyance about being sent east by a bucket of bolts, before hitting the button and speaking to the colonel in earnest, barely a minute after he finished speaking.

"Well colonel, whatever you think is best for the canyon is fine I suppose. Aside from that anomaly I want to check out when I get back from the capital wasteland, I dont really have much interest in heading back there. But if I am to be vice president, as castor claims, then I would have to say, feel free to do with it as you will. I dont know much about it except that it used to be a national park pre-war. some sort of natural landscape reserve for people who like to walk around mostly untouched nature or something. Completely rediculous if you ask me.
Oh, and it seemed it was some sort of passage way to some great pre-war city. Im not sure what the pre-war name for it was, but apparently the post-war inhabitants called it new canaan.
Evidence seems to indicate it was sacked by that war obsessed ancient armor wearing sword wielding group I mentioned earlier with the golden bull for a flag referred to as the legion. I'll see if I can find any pre-war information on the city or any indepth information on zion canyon when I am over in the capital wasteland to help you out.

I certainly hope I dont run into any brotherhood of steel bastards. I dont care if they do have fancy armor. I will still try to shoot them in the head for what they did. Oh, and you can tell whoever is in charge there that I am not stepping one foot in the project purity center.
Too many memories... *grumbles softly "brotherhood jerks."* But fine, I will go back to the capital wasteland if it means solidifying my position as vice president of the enclave. It cant have changed that much since I was there last, can it? Give me an excuse to go visit my parents graves anyhow. " she spoke firmly on most things, assurance and determination in her voice even if it seemed a bit lackluster when talking about the city and zion and her voice did drift off lazily and distracted near the end.

Then she realized she was daydreaming for a bit and shook herself back awake to finish her conversation with the colonel.
"Well I do hope when I get there, that they provide me with a bullet proof vest or armor or something. I cant wear that fancy walking tank armor I've seen the brotherhood and some of our own people wear. I dont have the training to understand how to work something like that.
But I also dont want to risk getting killed by some jerk who gets a lucky shot off, so some sort of defense against such things would be nice.

Im not sure how much pull you have over in that direction, but I would appreciate the effort to transmit such information at least.
And the knowledge that its been quite some years since I was last there, ever since the whole project purity fiasco, and thus dont honestly know much about what could have changed in the time I've been away, would be greatly appreciated. "

She paused for a moment or two, after that, trying to think if she had forgotten anything he wanted to mention, but then shrugged and spoke once more.

"Well I think that is about it for me. I will send you reports on anything worthwhile I find over there, once I get back, and I hope to at least hear about some plans to mount a return trip to zion when I get back. I know you probably have more pressing matters to attend to so I wont rush you, but that sparkly thing in the canyon has definitely piqued my interest. Anyways, I will save my breath for the moment and let you respond with whatever you have to say while I start getting packed for my trip. It will be a long ways to new vegas and probably even longer, just getting over to the capital wasteland. Might as well get prepared as soon as possible. This is Taliyn Markov, awaiting your responce."

When she was finished, she actively turned off any system that would make noise from her side so the colonel wouldn't have to hear her rustling about as she made movements while packing her things and listened to him speaking in return.

In the days following the attempted assassination on President Castor, the Enclave began to crack down on insurgency in the Capital Wasteland- primarily the Outcasts, their number one enemy and competitor in the Region. Colonel Winters has commanded Strike Teams all across the Capital Wasteland, dislodging the Outcasts from strongholds and engaging their patrols. While it is a relatively small and discrete operation, it has gained much attention from Enclave High Command, and put much pressure on the Colonel, who already carries the burden of the entire Enclave in the East.

Percy always hated attention, but with his position of power, it was unavoidable. Percy sat still, suppressing personal thoughts and opinions and waiting for the Radio New Vegas reporter to speak.

"Hello, Mr. Winters! I am from the Radio New Vegas from the Mojave Wasteland."

"First question: "Mr. Winters, a assault on President Donald J. Castor's life was perpratrated. Tragically, Colonel William Farris died in the attack, after heroically protecting the President from the attack. First, who do you think was responsible for this attack, and second, does the Enclave Military have any official statement on the attack? "

Percy sat still in his pressed Officers Uniform before two men in suits. On left, Three Dog, and on the right, a News Reporter from Radio New Vegas, over in the Mojave Wasteland. This interview had been in order for weeks, since Colonel Winters has gained much fame, even with the citizens of New Vegas. Percy always hated attention, but with his position of power, it was unavoidable. Percy sat still, suppressing personal thoughts and opinions and waiting for the Radio New Vegas reporter to speak.

The RNV Reporter spoke.

"Hello, Mr.

Feeling the wound that Percy suffered when he also took a bullet for the President, Percy silently mourned his fallen friend. "Well, the Enclave currently has no solid evidence on who was behind the attack, but we have narrowed down possible perpetrators to either the Brotherhood Outcasts, or the... exiled Commander Shepard's remnants. As of now, the Enclave has no official statement regarding the attack, considering its complexity and having only occurred a week ago"

"I see. Thank you, sir."

"On the other hand, do you have any official statements regarding current tensions with the Brotherhood Outcasts? Also, what is your opinion on the FRoM offering support to the Capital Wasteland Enclave in the case of a war? The folks back home would love to hear a answer on this.

"Along with this, does the Enclave Military have any official stance on the lands of Caesar's Legion? Midwestern Brotherhood of Steel? The Bright Brotherhood?"

Percy took a breath before speaking about the Outcasts. "The Brotherhood Outcasts are largely the Remnants of the Brotherhood of Steel that we defeated many months ago, and pose the greatest threat to the Capital Wasteland. While they are very powerful, I am confident that our forces can, and will overcome them. Enclave Troops are equipped with the most advanced weapons and armor available, in addition to having access to air transport that the Outcasts do not have. If a major conflict were to break out, the Enclave would have the upper hand. In regards to the Midwestern Brotherhood of Steel, we have no foul against them, for they had no connection to the East Coast Brotherhood, which was in fact considered a rogue chapter. Caesar's Legion, on the other hand, is nothing more than wannabe savages, who all deserve nothing less than death. Now saving best for last, I personally am very grateful for the help so generously offered by the Free Republic. Sure, it's a little more paperwork, but you western boys are filling the boots the Enclave couldn't, and each day, make life better for the citizens of the Capital Wasteland"

NCR Civil War/ Sunset Republic update

Postby Alouite » Tue Oct 20, 2015 6:46 pm

Battle of the Upper Cascades

General of the Junta forces, Joseph Rosewood successfully defeated the NCR defensive forces in the Upper Cascades and is now in control of the Northern NCR with reports that the National Government retreating to San Jose becoming more and more common as the Junta has seized Shady Sands. The battle involved 20,000 Junta Forces and 26,000 Nationalist forces. The battle however, saw the defection of two NCR generals and head of the NCR Rangers whom are now loyal to the Junta, in all 8,000 Nationalist forces defected, 4,000 deserted, and the remaining forces were unable to defend the manpower starved posts set up by the New Californian Army.

Fresno Riots

One of the largest locations not hit by a nuclear device before the war, Fresno always boasted an exemplary high number of survivors, and when incorporated by the NCR had several issues as internal factions objected to Californian oversight. However, that faded a century before, now there is a new movement on the rise in Fresno, partially due to a Black Hand influence in the city that occurred after FRoM forces crossed the southern Cascade mountains. Calling themselves the Fresno Commune, they are demanding reforms and like the FRoM are based on French Revolutionary values. This riot has grown to the point where the town hall is now under siege and the police armory and station is controlled by the Fresno Revolutionary Forces. At the helm of these forces are Premier Consul Jack Davidson, former NCR town garrison commander, Louis Wesley, and former NCR lawyer and historian now voice of the people Mark Everson.

Mammoth Lakes Seized

After a lack of manpower was reported in Mammoth Lakes, the Sunset Forces seized the town of Mammoth Lakes and have made it the HQ for all Californian operations. However, the Fresno Riots have encouraged locals to support reform seeing the invasion as a liberation of the region due to the perception that the Junta was inevitable. New Mayor James Reilly is officially voicing support for full scale rebellion, and local garrison forces there have effectively defected or deserted.

Siege of New Reno

With a full line of Circumvalliation set around the city, the FRoM Army began to send in a few sentry bots through the areas with the weakest defenses and used them to begin planting chemical weapons, specifically using Chemical Agent BH-08 (3-Quinuclidinyl benzilate) which is being dispersed in high quantity in areas close to the town center to attempt to draw in military forces and weaken the outskirts so a second line of Circumvalliation can be established and the first citizens can be secured. At the same time, rumors that the city government is conspiring to help the Junta is making people doubt their leadership, and while they oppose the non-lethal chemical attacks, unrest in New Reno is on the rise.
