Cost for Romanian Oil = X
Cost for foreign oil = X + Transportation cost
If you get 100 dollars from selling 100 barrels of oil to Soviet, then you will not be able to import 100 barrels of oil from foreign, more like 80 barrels.

Intelligence agencies(Domestic and Foreign): The Domestic Secret Police is called the Ritajin Services in charge of apprehending any threat to the regime it also serves as a foreign intelligence service for the regime and serves dual roles.
Description of Your Nation's Economy: The economy of the Ottoman Republic is a mixture of industrial based and agrarian sectors. The industrial produces textiles, auto parts, industrial equipment, canned goods, gas and oil, petrol products, jewelry, concentrated ores. The agrarian produces, meat and poultry, grains, various desert fruits, bread and wheat, milk, cotton, wool. The economy stagnates from the recently imposed inequal tax which tax more if you dont make above the annual median income. The stock market for the Ottoman Republic plummeted resulting in slow economic growth.
Description of Your Nation's Government: The regime keeps a iron grip over its populace. Propaganda tends to show militaristic pride and pride in nationalism. The regime intimidates its populace into submission, it demands fear instead of respect. It has various departments if ti were that of a democracy, however, all these departments report back to Col. Mehemed Abdulaziz II and take orders directly from him. Abdulaziz runs the show in the country and no one makes any decision without his consent.
History of your Nation: The Ottoman's history throughout its existence pretty much ran its course, but the major change came after WW1. After assuming defeat in WW1 the Allies wished to dissolve the Ottoman Empire into smaller spheres of influence controlled by other imperial powers. However in 1920 after a petition to keep the core of the Ottoman country together it agreeed to relinquish its controls on the Arab peninsula. The Ottomans were dissolved to just Syria, Turkey, and Iraq. In 1925 after the economy became relatively stable for growth a massive industrial reform was advocated. In 1930 5 years of growth saw an economic gap grow between the rich and the poor and would lay the foundation of economic disparity for the next century to come. This angered a prominent group who rose to power called the Janussaries. The Janussaries voiced there opinion heavily and gained traction in Iraq and Syria. They advocated a more equal stance across the board, equality for every citizen in the Empire. The Janussaries, however, looked like a bunch of young radical officers to the establishment. So in 1938 the Dahr trials began which the arrest and execution of 700 Janussary officers and leaders.
The core of the Janussary movement didn't shake and in 1939 a coup was staged on Mehemed VII and installed Gen.Abdullah Abdullah. In the wake of the German invasion of Poland, Abdullah Abdullah sympathized with Nazi Germany. Like the Nazis, the Janussaries were radical extreme fascists and emphasized law and order. Abdullah Abdullah adopted Hitlers final solution idea and used it on the ethnic Jews living in the Empire. The Republic again saw one of the darkest moments in its history. In 1941 Abdullah Abdullah officially joined the Axis, sending oil and raw materials to the axis members. He even bailed out Mussolini in his failed invasion of Greece and sent troops to the troops to invade Russia through the Causcus when Hitler launched Operation Barbarossa. When Mussolini invaded Egypt Abdullah Abdullah invaded from the West. However, after the Allies expelled the Axis out of Africa they turned there attention on driving out the Ottomans in the Middild East. In early 1943, Allied forces penetrated the Sinai line and drove the Ottomans into Palestine. There a stale mate ensued, with the Russians slowly pushing back the German onslaught the Ottomans held onto their newly acquired Causcus land dearly. In August of 1943 the Russians took the Crimea and drove the Ottomans to the Turkish border. The British and French simultaneously landed near Basra,Iraq and the Ottomans had transfer significant forces from the bulk of their army to entrench themselves around Baghdad. In 1944 the Ottomans lost Baghdad, the Russians blockaded Constantinople, and Allied penetrated Syria. On October the 2nd, 1944 Abdullah Abdullah surrendered.
In 1945, a popular uprising overthrew Abdullah Abdullah and his Janussaries and elected Azizi Pasha. Pasha in a move that shocked the world, dissolved the Sultanate and established a Republic. Under Pasha considerable democratic reforms were undertook and the Ottoman Federal Republic was born. The constitution of 1947 was written and the Constantinople Congress was established. Pasha won a second term in 1950 and began a massive education revitalization, renovating primary schools and constructing universities. Under Pasha the Republic embraced Western ideas and culture and opened up Cinemas and Casinos. A great debate arose over conservative traditional principles and modernization. In 1953, relations thrived with the West. Britain, France, and the US poured billions of dollars worth of aid into to Pasha's education drive. Pasha had a surplus even to fix up the infrastructure damaged and/or destroyed during the war. In 1955 elections were held again and Dilla Kemal of the Liberty Party was elected. Under Dilla's administration infrastructure thrived. Bridges, roads, railways, dams, power lines, communications, and docks were constructed or repaired. The economy strengthened as oil became the primary export in 1969. In 1970 Attaturk was elected from the Conservative Party and began focusing on healthcare. A state controlled insurance program was instituted and services at clinics were free whilst visits at hospitals were severely reduced in cost. A medical fund was opened up as government subsidies and donations were poured into it. Under Attaturk the Academy of Science flourished in Constantinople and 3 new Medical Lab were erected. 1973 saw a Janussary insurrection in Syria. Attaturk was reelected in 1975. Later that year, new hospitals arose throughout the country. In 1978 however, a scandal arose as serious allegations of voting fraud was accounted for. Attaturk had bribed the counters to stuff the ballot and not only that but began embezzling profits from the medical fund. 2.6 billion dollars in all were embezzled. A coup was staged by Col. Mehemed AbdulAziz which overthrew Attaturk's administration and executed not only officials within the administration but President Attaturk himself.
Col.Mehemed AbdulAziz disbanded the constitution of 1947, made the newly created Janussary Party the majority in Congress and party membership mandatory for administration officials. AbdulAziz took on the title of President, and began working on improving industrial capabilities and welfare development. In 1979 AbdulAziz purchased blueprints on the T-55 tank and Su-7B. He began drawing designs on making his own cheaper version of the AK-47. In 1980 tensions brewed over the straight of Hormuz with Iran. In September of 1980 the puppet Constantinople Congress declared war on Iran. The war has dragged on for 3 years and continues now.

Romania has some oil, which makes sense that it could supply Europe during WW2, but it's totally outclassed by the 80s.
Romania has the world's 47th largest reserves at 650million barrels and today produces some 100kbbl/day, which is actually less then Japan. To put it into perspective, UK has more than 10x the reserves of Romania. Venezuela has about 458x the reserves.
So yeah, Romania produces oil in small quantities, but not enough to cover how much it consumes. It likely sells the oil it produces to the USSR for not much money and imports oil from the Middle East.

Domestic Policy: Citizens are afforded a high degree of freedom, they enjoy freedom of speech and freedom of expression, and are considerably more lenient than Apartheid era South Africa. However, the prison system is harsh and unforgiving, designed to deter rather than rehabilitate.
Civil Freedoms /10:7
Political Freedoms /10:7

Military Size:15,000 Soldiers, 250 aircraft
Military Description:
UORS Self Defence Forces are lightly equipped, carrying only a knife and a L1A1 Battle rifle, with a SUSAT Scope attached to it along with 50 rounds of ammunition for each soldier. They are highly trained, and undergo 25 weeks of training throughout several locations within the country, this breeds a cohesive and quick-thinking unit. More recently, all soldiers receive night vision aids when deployed. The reason for all this, is because the soldiers need to be agile and get into good reconnaissance positions as soon as possible, such as high up in a tree.
UORS soldiers can be distinguished from others because of their camouflaged fedoras, which they wear as part of the standard uniform, this fits with a thin, cotton uniform that is also camouflaged.
Strengths and Weaknesses:UORS military forces are good at guerrilla warfare and reconnaissance, they also are excellent sharpshooters. Unfortunately, they are limited by their small size and lack of diversified weaponry for deployment.
Law Enforcement: The Orange Law and Order Association, 25,000 Officers throughout the country. The Orange Law and Order Association are the police officers who patrol the cities and townships of the nation, they don't carry firearms and wear an orange tuxedo-vest and khaki cargo trousers, they are equipped with CS spray and speed-cuffs along with a police baton and a taser. They deal with riot control situations and preventing crime committed with the territory of the state.
Around 1,000 officers are handpicked and trained to make use of the MP5 submachine gun, for hostage purposes.
The Orange Wildlife Preservation Group patrol the national parks and wilderness, however, they also come equipped with an array of medical equipment and supplies in addition to the standard weaponry for catching criminals. Their job is to arrest criminals who harm the wildlife, and thus use Quad bikes to get around the areas more quickly. They utilise facial camouflage and camouflaged uniforms, like the armed forces, who are near indistinguishable from then. Due to a sharp increase in poachers, one officer on every team carries an L1A1 rifle.
The rest of their equipment includes, anti-parasitic medication, for them and any animals, malaria tablets and antibiotics. They are trained to administer these.
Intelligence agencies(Domestic and Foreign): The Orange Detection and Pursuit Agency for Enemy aliens and Orange Nationals (ODPAEAON)
Description of Your Nation's Economy: The economy mainly thrives off the mining of precious metals and minerals such as platinum and diamonds, however large areas of the cities have factories which produce agricultural machinery. The electronics industry is slowly growing, with 71% of Orange Citizens owning at least one electronic device. Companies have to pay 10% tax to the government, thus making it cheap and easy to set up a business in the country. Military weaponry is produced within the towns and cities, with 92% of all soldiers' equipment being made in the country.
Description of Your Nation's Government: The government has two houses, the Senate and the academy where individual laws are passed. Citizens can request a repeal or referendum, if they reach 55,000 signatures which express support for the referendum. Although, the President has very little power, and is more of a ceremonial role, despite the title 'Commander In Chief' he still has the power to order the armed forces to attack and declare war however.

Domestic Policy: Citizens are afforded a high degree of freedom, they enjoy freedom of speech and freedom of expression, and are considerably more lenient than Apartheid era South Africa. However, the prison system is harsh and unforgiving, designed to deter rather than rehabilitate. Many services are socialised, with free healthcare and free education for all citizens, some medical procedures still have to be paid for however. Vegetarianism is encouraged by the government, but is not forced upon the population, who tend to enjoy beef and pork in large quantities.
Civil Freedoms /10:7
Political Freedoms /10:7
Economic Freedoms /10:8
Military Size:10,000 Soldiers, 250 aircraft
Military Description:
UORS Self Defence Forces are lightly equipped, carrying only a knife and a L1A1 Battle rifle, with a SUSAT Scope attached to it along with 50 rounds of ammunition for each soldier. They are highly trained, and undergo 32 weeks of training throughout several locations within the country, this breeds a cohesive and quick-thinking unit.
Training consists of four stages....
Phase one is for the first nine weeks, which details how to apply field aid such as tourniquets and bandages in combat along with administering drugs for the combat medics. After five weeks of practicing field aid, they move onto weapon maintenance and how to keep their equipment in good condition when deployed, this occurs for the final four weeks of phase one.
Phase two consists of marching, for parades and funerals and that occurs for three weeks, then uniform maintanance occurs for another three weeks. Finally, the recruits practice with their rifles in marksmanship which occurs for another three weeks, after this, they practice on an assault course to test their knowledge.
Phase three, like the others lasts for nine weeks, and consists of hand to hand combat in Brazilian Ju Jitsu and Krav Maga, this lasts for six weeks with all soldiers being taught to by certified instructors. The final three weeks involve acrobatics and speeding up the soldiers' reflexes, they are taught to climb trees, avoid being struck by enemy soldiers and must slide down a rope while upside-down and unattached to it, to complete this phase of training.
Phase four, is the final phase and involves evading enemy forces while in enemy territory, and resisting interrogation techniques. After this, a parade occurs, involving all the recruits that managed to passed the training.
History of your Nation:
In 1955, the Orange Free State and the Transvaal suffered a mass exodus, the Black Africans and non-Whites were forced from their homes and communities by the Apartheid government. Its official purpose was to repopulate the area with White settlers only, which it had accompolished by 1961, the populace numbered 150,000 Afrikaners. When the sanctions began to bite, many White South Africans moved into the area, because of the exclusiveness of it. By 1967, the population had doubled to 300,000 Afrikaners and Non-Afrikaner White South Africans.
More and more Whites were drawn in, hailing mainly from the Southern U.S in the wake of the Civil Rights Bill, three years earlier. In 1968, new immigration rules were set out; all potiential immigrants had to pass a literacy test and have at least one college degree. By 1974, the population had grown to 600,000, and more White immigrants entered the country. Following more severe sanctions, the two states broke away and formed the 'Unified Orange River State' in 1975, a brief war occurred, and with the assistance of Black guerrillas fighting the apartheid regime the country became independent. This was followed by the lifting of all segregation, and the first educated Black Africans were allowed into the country. In 1976, a mixed number of immigrants arrived, 75,000 Whites and 90,000 African-Americans received their papers, this was followed by the partial lifting of sanctions on the Unified Orange River State.
Immigration was consistently low after this, with around 6,000 Whites and 2,500 Blacks receiving papers every year, a high birthrate however offset this disadvantage and allowed the population to grow until it had reached the number of 1,200,000.
