The Economy is mixed market, the social policy is fairly leftist, but we aren't a socialist state, we have a large private sector (primarily manufacturing). And We don't really care.

Equipment is somewhat up-to-date due to the fact of Soviet arms sales recently. The forces contain a blend of Western and Soviet weaponry.
The land doctrine is a elastic defense, delay, and guerrilla tactics. The naval submarine doctrine is based primarily of denying forces to launch amphibious assaults; hence submarines. Current Air force is modeled on an air superiority doctrine, so the air force is the best kept forces of the al-Maghrib al-Awsaṭ .

The land and air, they lack the resources to build sufficient tanks and aircraft, however, due to German scientists captured from facilities built in WWII, it has the highest technological capabilities of most African nations, (Israel is exception) however, it lacks the steel and resources to build adequate amor and mechanized infantry
Law Enforcement: It is shared between the :Sûreté Nationale, (National police), and the Gendarmerie Nationale, the rural police. It is very efficient from preventing terrorist attacks and crime, however crime among non-Muslims is still overlooked at times.

1951-1970, period of self reform, numerous coups and rebellions due to conflicting views.

India and North Korea are close friends yet India has supported initiatives to counter North Korea's nuclear development.
