Concept: Umm... Well, everyone is a not-so-normal person wearing a frickin' awesome nanosuit-like suit which runs on spiritual energy. And we go around kicking evil's ass. And... umm... There are guns, and spiritual forces, and Demi-gods, and fantasy creatures... And its awesome...

Ok, obviously I'm having some trouble coming up with the specifics. Hence why I am here...

Genre(s): Sci-Fi/Pseudo-Fantasy (Nearish Future/Pseudo-Fantasy Tech)

Type (Character/Faction/Nation): Character ('cause that's the only kind of RP I like, fools!)

Detailed Description:


In the year 2060 ACE., in an alternate universe, on an Earth-like planet named Ignaris, there live several sentient races. Of these, the humans are the most technologically advanced, utilizing mostly nanotechnology. The Elvis races are the second most advanced, but utilize mainly biotech. And then there are the other races (which I have not decided upon yet). One of them will have more modern tech, whereas the rest will be more primitive creatures.

Of course, since Mother Ignaris couldn't just have her less technologically inclined children be wiped from the face of the Ignaris (pun...), she created a spiritual energy which travels to and fro across the planet. This energy is called Calon. Those who wield it, are the Calonnau. Said energy is comprised of the dead souls of all sentient beings, and as such is strengthened according to the amount of persons who die (the consequences of this will come into play later on).

Humans are the least inclined/attuned to this energy, and it is rare to have anyone that can wield it (whereas in the more primitive races, almost everyone can wield it). That is, until now.

In a small, secret, international laboratory run by the greatest human, elven, and other scientists, the civilized world saw a massive advance in technology: the creation of molecular machines which themselves are attuned to Calon.

This technology had billions upon billions of international pounds invested in it, and soon the scientists were able to create a full-body nanosuit which integrated this technology. Now, users of this suit were able to (decently) wield Calon, regardless of their personal abilities (or lack thereof). Moreover (so long as they wore this suit), their strength, speed, agility, and reflexes were heightened substantially. These suits also gave their users the ability to fly (YIPPEEE!!! I'MMM A BIRDEEE!!!), and advanced healing abilities.

And now war has broken out between many of the sentient races, and the International Council (name to be determined) is rushing to end the warfare. And, now they have these peoples who have super-powered nanosuits to help end the conflict!!!!



And that's all I've got. So, I would like this to be kind of a joint-effort between everyone here to build the history, factions, species, technology, and the rest of the shit needed to ell get this RP going. I'm open to any and all ideas at this point.

First off, I want to work on the species list. Course, there are the humans and elves so far. But I want more species for players to choose from.

Also remember that the more advanced technologically a species is, the less magically inclined it is (and typically the less physically powerful it is). However, the more primitive the species, the more magical it is (and more physically powerful it is).

If a species is extremely primitive and magical, its characters will not be wearing the RP's nanosuits, but may still join the spec ops group which is mainly comprised of suit-wearers (does that make any sense?).

At the same time, I would like to work on a very basic history of the world with regards to the species and their civilizations. Oh, and the suits, I want to work on the suits.


As I get ideas, I'll bring them up.

Alright, I'll tell you. However, if any of you ever run your mouths about it to the future players and spoil it for them, I'll take out Lord Lith's Chains and Whips.

Ok, the dead people energy not only increases the powers of the magically inclined, it is also a food source. Food for whom? Lions and tigers and bears? Oh my, no. It's food for extra-terrestrial spirit beings. Thankfully, the spirit energy on our planet has not grown large enough to draw these beings to our planet. But the war which will eventually occur, leaving every race weak and extremely dwindled in populace, will draw them instantaneously.

So, right when we need peace the most, we have superpowered ghosts from another galaxy that swoops in, attempting to eat both ourselves and our spirit energy source. Not only will this be a fun challenge, it'll also be a real challenge for our (by that time) seemingly overpowered characters.

We will be following a system of Anime Attributes, which will give your character certain abilities derived from anime physics. They will be divided into Advantages, Disadvantages, and Qualities, with Advantages being (usually) helpful, Disadvantages (usually) hindering, and Qualities being (usually) neutral in regards to whether or not they help you or doing a bit of both.
If you have any ideas for new Attributes, please state them in the OOC. Obviously I haven't seen every anime in existence (not even close, actually), and research can only give me so many ideas. If you give me enough ideas for Attributes and demonstrate that you're a good RPer, I may consider giving you co-OP status.
So, without further ado, here is the list of Attributes:

Advantages
Each advantage you possess may be used by a character only once per IC page, with a limit of two advantages being used per page.
Made of Iron: You can sustain large amounts of injury while only getting a few bruises which disappear by your next post.
Hammerspace: You can summon objects, no matter their size or quantity, from seemingly nowhere (or from the improbable location of your choice).
KO: You can knock another PC (with their player's permission given in the OOC or through TG) or NPC an improbable distance (across the room, a few blocks away, etc.). The victim recovers from the effects and reappears in the scene by their next post, unless they choose otherwise or I decide that they have ended up in a plot-relevant scene.
Skilled: Whether or not you've had any formal training, you are an expert in the area of your choice. As a result, you can complete any related skill effortlessly and at almost supernatural speeds.
Fast: You can run at almost supernatural speeds, creating a dust cloud in your wake.
Improbable Weapon User: You can use the object of your choice as a weapon. If you also have Hammerspace, you may take this weapon from there.

Disadvantages
One disadvantage must be used every three action posts.
Clumsy: You're clumsy, plain and simple. You can decide what exactly that means: you may constantly drop things, fall over, trip on inconvenient banana peels, or anything else of your choice.
Shy: You are incurably shy. Whenever someone you are unfamiliar with speaks to you or you try to speak to a person you are unfamiliar with, you are either a) only able to speak in whispers; or b) turn to stone or otherwise are rendered unable to move or speak.
Attention Deficit... Ooh, Shiny! You are easily distracted to the point that it's difficult for you to focus on one thing for more than a few minutes. And the universe seems intent on distracting you.
Born Unlucky: You are so unlucky that it's almost as if you've been cursed. In fact, you very well might be. You can decide what this means most of the time, but be aware that I may throw things at you occasionally.

Qualities
Qualities are always in play, but you do not have to specifically mention them each time you post.
Nekomimi: You have cat ears, and possibly a tail. You may also make cat sounds at the end of your sentences. This does not automatically make you a shadow person (this is the term I'm using for supernatural people btw) and does not inherently give you any supernatural powers.
Busty: Exactly What It Says On The Tin. You've seen enough anime to know what I'm talking about. (Female only, for obvious reasons.)
Dramatic Entrance: When you enter a scene, you are silhouetted by a blast of bright white light behind you that has no apparent source. It may or may not blind the other PCs and NPCs; that is ultimately up to the RPers that play them.
Glasses: You wear glasses. Whenever you push them up your nose (usually during a dramatic moment) they flash.
Ahoge: You have an ahoge.
Hair Antennae: You have hair antennae.
Expressive Hair: Your hair moves on its own. It may express your emotions, it may have a mind of its own, or something else.
Technicolor Hair: Your hair is an unusual (i.e. pink, blue, purple, green, etc.) colour.

Well, my idea is that the magical races panicked when they heard about the creation of a nanosuit that will allow even the average soldier the ability to fight with the powers of Calon. Thus, they declared war on the civilized races in order to stop the continuation of this tech.

And of course, some people just understood that they could use a war in order to advance their own interests. So, even more races joined the war.

First off, we need some more races, and then we should work on the basics of the nanosuits. I'm currently watching Crysis 3 walkthroughs for ideas on the nanosuits, so I'm a bit distracted right now.
