On a Placid Island of Ignorance

With any search for knowledge, comes a price. Whether it be in the infinite void of the cold, cruel universe. In the dark depths of the world we think we know. In the ever changing yet inevitable march of time and the clues it leaves behind. Even when searching in the recesses of our minds we must give something up to find our answers.

No more is this truer than now. 2020, the world is on the verge of great things, great good or great catastrophe. Science has advanced leaps and bounds in the last few years and world peace is looking to be an attainable goal as a new organisation has risen, the UHF, dedicated to advancing humanity to its full potential. A bright future for mankind's may be in the cards.

Or so you would think. In truth, this state of hope and prosperity was engineered. By whom you ask? By unfathomably powerful beings that lie imprisoned at the edge of our collective vision with dark intentions for our poor little world. They influence and manipulate, giving their followers gifts and visions, intending to blanket their actions as they rifle our world for a way to escape their bonds. Some have even already crossed into our world, though only the weaker ones have been able to slip through. These beings are collectively known as "Outsiders" or "Unworlders", though they are all very different.

However, we are not without defences. The very existence of these creatures means humanity can tap into the energies their realm possesses. Humans often refer to this energy as "Magic" and have either reviled it or pretended it doesn't exist. But the fact remains it is our best and last defence, even though there are only a few among us who can harness it and develop their power and knowledge in the discipline. They are referred to as mages, who have come together in secret orders to stop the threat of the Unworlders (though, they also have other goals…) yet information on these powerful beings is scarce and uncorrelated, so knowledge is the key to this war. However with such knowledge comes a price… Every step one takes down this path could lead to madness.

You are one of these mages, newly recruited and put into a team to stop these beings from crossing into our world. However, what will you sacrifice to stop the Unworlders? Your life, your sanity or your very soul?

The choice is yours, but whatever you do, remember when you stare into the darkness, there are eyes staring back, watching… waiting… hungering…

This gets the psychopath seal of approval.

In all seriousness though, are you thinking of stuff like, "can get smushed into a pancake, yet when he blows into his thumb, he reinflates" or something like that?

Well, sorta. Like, "Can kick/punch/bitchslap/etc. others with enough force to knock them to the other end of the block," or "can be kicked down a flight of stairs and only sustain a few bruises to the head." I guess. Again, I'm still not entirely sure how it would work. I'm considering maybe requiring one disadvantageous attribute for every advantageous attribute.

Of course, there would also be things like "massive, bouncy boobs" and "overdramatic entrance involving blasts of light with no apparent source behind oneself" and stuff like that.

Well I didn't say 4 wasn't good it just the call of duty multiplayer gun load out thing that fucking pis see me off. The story line was incredible though making chief more human made me question 343. The multiplayer games were good but this story line they were going with is questionable. That why I most likely won't ever get it. (Halo five)

Halo 4? Meh. I can say that the co-op was better than any before it. And it looked good, while increasing the forge options and game types. Story wasn't up to my tastes, and the loadouts just bothered me.

I have hopes for Halo 5, but mostly I'm excited for Dragon Age. I love DA so much, because epic RPG without my disaster of a Fallout experience. Let's just say I got lost...

I'm looking forward to DA:I too... Though I'm still waiting for Bioware to make a second Jade Empire game.
