Right now I'm busy making a SciFi/horror fantasy/post-apocalyptic thread focusing on the lives of multiple "special" people residing within a new world order that has arisen several years after a global catastrophic event has befallen on Earth. I'll post up the interest thread once I'm done with it
They call me Temp. If I take too long to respond, just TG me. Or TG me whenever, I'm online 90% of the time.

Hey! I'm special! Can't wait to look at it and decide I can't participate because I'm sure that whenever a new RP starts my life decided to hammer me right then.

-Slip Stream Drives
-Mass Effect Drives
-Worm Hole Generators
Any ideas?

Hyper drive and Slip Space Drive are the norm I believe. Or you could take a note from Halo and use a Translight Engine.

However, hyper space (though I see you already have it) is a good way to get around that (because it involves transferring the ship to another dimension where distances between things are much shorter and/or different speeds are possible therein). Another good way to do it is wormholes (another thing that I see you have).

Well if ya wanna be all scientific about it, you can't go any faster than light, or even the same speed as light without being turned into pure energy. However, hyper space (though I see you already have it) is a good way to get around that (because it involves transferring the ship to another dimension where distances between things are much shorter and/or different speeds are possible therein). Another method could be to fold space (which is similar to a wormhole I guess). So for instance, if you have some sort of device at either end of the space you want to cross, and they can fold the space in between them for a few seconds to allow the ship to cross over. That's one way to do it anyway.

I mentioned this before. Some would be happy, while others like their current region. Would any of you now be interested in a region? I think a few people would be warranted before starting anything.
