Well we know that the brotherhood was defeated. I don't have time right now to look in the ic to see if the outcasts participated. I think they did but I'm not sure. If they did then no they were eliminated. If not then yes they are in the capital wasteland.

The Outcasts weren't involved in the Civil War.

Safe in the walls of the Citadel, Daniel trained, and trained, and trained, preparing every aspect of himself.

Daniel was named a Brotherhood of Steel Knight at age 17, and was deployed to Galaxy News Radio. It was nothing like the training. It was one thing to shoot at a dummy but trying to take down a beast twice his size was difficult, if not near impossible. And seeing them shred apart a fully-armored soldier with their bear hands made Daniel doubt the strength of the Brotherhood, but he stuck with it through and through. Daniel was on the forefront of the Brotherhood-Enclave War, participating in the attack on the Enclave Radio Station, and then the attack on Adams Air Force Base.

Years later as a Paladin, Daniel was part of the detachment sent to the Mojave Wasteland to battle the Legion and reestablish connection with the West Coast Chapters, but subsequently became part of the Brotherhood's attempt to annex the Mojave. He retreated back to the Capital Wasteland with the rest of the detachment in 2182. When the Civil War broke out, Daniel was a Sentinel, commanding the Brotherhood's famous unit known as "Dagger Regiment", and led them to squash earlier outbreaks of rebellions, but it wasn't long before the Regiment was redeployed to combat the returning Enclave Forces in Downtown D.C. Daniel fought hard, his Regiment fought well, but they were forced to retreat after GNR was captured. Dagger Regiment joined the Brotherhood Forces at the Jefferson Memorial, and after its subsequent fall to the Enclave and the Rebels, the scattered remnants of the Brotherhood fell back to the Citadel. Outmanned, outgunned, and low on supplies and morale, Daniel and the shattered remains of the Brotherhood resisted the Rebel and Enclave Forces a long as they could, but their downfall was secured. When the Enclave began to break into the courtyard, Daniel and Scribe Rothschild quickly organized the remaining forces. Using a previously cut off back entrance, roughly 50 Brotherhood Soldiers and most Scribes escaped from the Citadel with their arms full of all the weapons and tech they could carry- everything else was destroyed to keep it from falling into the Enclave's hands. Key components to Liberty Prime were taken so one day the Brotherhood could rebuild him.

With nowhere to turn, the Brotherhood Remnants turned to the Outcasts in overwhelming numbers. Daniel was proud to join them, and happy that there was a chance for the Brotherhood. Brotherhood Remnants from all across the Capital Wasteland joined the Outcasts, and it would grow into the Enclave's top competitor in the Capital Wasteland.

Now helping in the Command of the Bailey's Crossroads Outpost, Daniel longs for the day that be can return to shove his plasma rifle down the Enclave's throats and kick them back to Chicago, but Protector Casdin, understandably, wishes not to instigate a conflict with the Enclave.

Level headed and professional, Protector Casdin was once one of the most accomplished soldiers of Lyons' Brotherhood of Steel, fighting with the Elder side-by-side during the Scourge of the Pitt. However, he broke ties with the Elder during the Schism. It was a result of dissatisfaction with Lyons' focus on protecting the wastes by killing super mutants. A part of Lyons' contingent perceived it as an ineffectual waste of men and resources that would ultimately destroy the Brotherhood. The situation deteriorated, finally tipping when Elder Lyons ignored their repeated requests to recover tech from Fort Independence, a pre-War scientific military base. The dissenters rallied behind Casdin, abandoned Lyons' command and left the Citadel, taking a large part of its weapons and equipment stockpiles with them. The loss of men and materiel had a significant negative impact on the combat performance of Lyons' chapter, greatly reducing its ability to project power throughout the Capital Wasteland.

Under Casdin's command, they seized Fort Independence, where they pushed back the indigenous raider groups and adapted the former military base for use as their headquarters. Termed "Outcasts" by their angered former brothers and sisters, the renegade soldiers adopted the name as a badge of honor, painting their armor red and black to distinguish themselves from the organization they no longer served. They have also reorganized their rank system and decentralized their operations, to make tech retrieval and long range patrols easier to organize.

Protector Casdin avoided getting involved in the Brotherhood's second War with the Enclave because he feared that it would gather unneeded attention and draw the war to their territory. While there were skirmishes with the Enclave and the Rebels, they never escalated into major combat. When the Brotherhood of Steel fell and Elder Sarah Lyons was killed, Casdin took in every remnant he could find, allowing them join the Outcasts and subsequently extending their influence. With a much larger force and more resources to work with, Casdin would lead the Enclave's largest competitor.

are non-canon robots allowed? for the sake of O'Neil in big mountain surrounded by whatever loot that the courier didnt swipe, I feel he would be weighed down very quickly and would need to constantly run back to the "sink" to deposit stuff or drop stuff off in loot caches around the land.

It would be much easier if he could fill up the inventory of a big floating robot and just have a command to be able to send them back to the "sink" to deposit his loot and then just come back to him.

Basically an oversized eyebot a bit bigger than normal and looks like this.

And a small portion of the eye sockets around the center would glow red at night.

And instead of that little laser at the top of the head, the eye sockets would count as the lasers.

Off hand I'd have to say no to non canon robots.

How about unfinished canon robots? I noticed there is some vague mention in one of the research terminals in big mountain about some sort of small robot. A lot smaller than regular sized robots. It sounds sort of like the eyeball robot on spider legs that Dr.Mobius created. But this one never really came to fruition. Or it did and didnt work out and got scrapped or something. It isnt really specific what happened to it.
Probably some prototype precursor model to Dr.Mobius's spider eye robot thing, that didnt pan out or something.

As far as I know, there isnt any images of it, at least in the game. So I am thinking if it had worked out, it might have been something like this.

Does anyone know where I can find a full list of the robots from big mountain?
I tried the official fallout wikia but several robots I remember seeing in big mountain, including dr.mobius's eye spider robots, are missing from the list.

And speaking of things I found on the fallout wikia... there is a perk called the purifier. You get it after killing a certain amount of "abominations" in the mojave wasteland and the dlc locations. I found it humorous that, amongst things like the actual mutated animals and the ghost people and things like that, the think tank from the big mountain, and Mr.House are all considered "abominations" to be killed.
