Well it is pretty funny to see, but for me from a different standpoint. I gave commonwealth a post to respond to several days ago.
So its funny to see them mention waiting for the rp to pick up when they already have someone waiting for them.

Saying you refuse after you have allready accomplished the requested task is quite contradictory yes?

You refuse to do something you have allready done? Makes my brain hurt...

Soo to be clear, the Courier would have dealt with most of the quests and stuff in Big Mountain, correct?

Dala's teddy bear and Dr.Klein's dog in Higgs village, the fancy talking stealth suit and it's upgrades,
whatever plant related missions you need to do in the X-22 botanical garden,
those training sessions in the automated school and the cave with the giant dog,
all that running around to pick up random things that turn out to just be usefull to putting you back together...
The courier allready took care of that stuff yes?

Ok. Well if all the in-game missions are allready taken care of hen all that is left is O'Neil wandering around and figuring out stuff to do.
I was kinda hoping he might stumble upon the talking stealth suit or the sonic shield disrupter or something.

I guess if he was smart enough, he could rebuild the shield disrupter. There are plans for it on some terminals.
But he isnt that smart. At least not yet. I figure that dala probably messed around with his organs and things out of scientific curiosity.
Maybe she accidentally made his brain a lot smarter or something.

I see. Hmm. When I allowed big mountain I had done so with the intent that it never be absorbed into a faction, and that it can be utilized to further develop technology.
But if you wanted to find, for example, the sonic stealth suit that's fine. I'm not familiar with the sonic shield disrupter however. It is possible that they messed with the brain and gave you +1 intellect I suppose. But it's unlikely as there's only 2 modes they give, brain or electro tesla coil. If there are plans they can be rebuilt, I presume. But you'll need the parts.
The quests and associated tech have been completed and obtained by the courier however.

The sonic shield disrupter is a big part of the DLC. It has a big effect on robots and lets you take down the big blue energy shields in the high school training simulator and a few other places. You can get sound files for it that sound like the giant dog's bark, the sound the giant roboscorpion makes, some opera singer's voice I think... you change them out by talking to the jukebox in the sink area.

The problem is, finding it. Im questioning whether the courier might have taken it with them when they headed back to the mojave.

I mean yeah, it works on robots but seeing as you need to talk to the jukebox to change the signal it put's out anytime you want something different, and there are no big blue energy shields to disrupt in the mojave, I wonder if the courier would see the point in carrying it around. Guns work quicker on robots. All the sonic emitter does to them is takes several hits to kill them and takes awhile to recharge between hits and then then they spark a bit and their body parts fall off. So I am pretty sure it fries all their circuits and renders them useless for anything but scrap metal and spare parts.

As for the intelligence thing, I just remembered the talking autodoc can allready give you all the same surgeries that the new vegas health clinic can give you so he could get lots of intelligence that way. But what I was referring to originally is that all the dlc tells us is that Dala took out the organs, vaugely hints that she might have done something to them and then she stuck them in glass jars and put them somewhere and forgot where she put them. For the sake of the rp I was thinking whatever tinkering she did with them that the game doesnt specify, could have increased O'Neil's intelligence or something. But the big mountain autodoc can do that too so maybe the brain tampering did something else.

The kid sitting at the I-55 trading post is supposed to be like psychic or something I think. So maybe Dala's fiddling around with the brain did something like that. The game never does specify exactly what she did with the organs after all.

And you pointed out most of that stuff was void untill further notice. So is that a yes or a no on the talking A.I stealth suit?
I just ask cause it is one of the side missions the courier might have done.

And O'Neil is not part of a faction right now so I dont think you need to worry about big mountain being absorbed yet.
I think whoever was talking with dr mobius allready left too, but I might be mistaken. Its hard to keep up with everyone's posts.

Edit: I just googled the sonic shield disrupter. It's actually called the sonic emitter. My bad.

Hello everyone!

I've come back bearing good news and bad news.

I'll start with the good news. I prefer to stay positive so that's why I'm starting on a light note.

I'm back from vacation. As such I'd like to mention the bad news.

The rp has seen a recent setback in the form of a combination of rpers not posting much (a minor issue as I've noticed that this rp can survive without postage for significant lengths of time periods), and a frankly embarrassing level of inactivity on the part of op and co-op during the past summer months. I take responsibility for this, as is required of an op. Too many rps fall, not from player inactivity directly, but player inactivity caused by a deep routed issue of op (and in some cases co-op) inactiveness or general disinterest in their rps. This rp has weathered the storm, but, that's not to say troubles over. It never is quite frankly.

I would like to let you all know that In light of Nar's request, I am considering the creation of a new ooc page to attract new players who may be turned away by the mass amount of pages they may feel obliged to read through. Honestly I feel at this point like if I was starting new in an rp and had to read 200 pages of text to start, not including the ic, intimidation would be expected.

I would also like to announce that I am considering the installation of an upgrade to the rp known as an archive server. I hope this will allow us quick access to apps and weed out uninterested players from active ones in this rp.

I will be reading through the last few pages of text to account for any godmodding or other sly moved done by players.
However, for faster results. If you wish to bring a specific matter to my attention , I encourage you to telegram me. Remember to include the offenders name, the nature of the offence (ex. Godmod, op non fallout tech, etc.), and the page(s) the offence occurred on. Unless it's self explanatory an explanation as to why it's an issue may be desired but not necessary.

Those of course are solutions, and this not necessarily bad news. The bad news is as follows.

September will begin my first days in college. I will be studying business administration and don't foresee the kind of time required to do a good job at overseeing a busy rp such as this. As a result I'd like to remind you all that should I be not be serving to your expectation as op you are more then welcome to vote me out of power and put a more qualified individual on the podium. Democracy is a blessing.

I would like to end this, by asking any of you that are interested to telegram me your opinion on the following 2 topics. The reason I say telegram is because it is more private and the 'D' word is a swear word in rp forums as far as I'm concerned. It's caused too many rps to flounder In doubt, so I don't want to harm the rp by antagonizing its use.

Topic 1: Would you support a direct reboot of this rp?
A) Yes
B) No
C) Depends (Please specify)

Topic 2: Would you prefer a Direct continuation?
A) Yes
B) No
C) Depends (Please specify)

Topic 3: Would you prefer neither are used and we stick with this rp page?
A) Yes
B) No
C) Depends (Please specify)

Well seeing as your the only OP Im aware of existing ever since the original died out, I think its safe to say most people are going to want to keep you around. Me included. Your the only OP we know so your the one we want I would think.

But if a democracy situation comes up where someone might want a new OP, you can be sure you got my vote.

Congrats on college by the way. College is often a good way to get more knowledge and better work.
I hope you get a good job out of this and not just lots of student loan debts.

So to be clear with O'Neil's latest post, all I expect is a generalized return post. I have played the DLC so I know the answers and questions that the initial contact would bring up. So a quick sum up of him getting answers to questions he might ask would be nice.

Uhhh... ehhh... sorta? Its post apocalyptic and it has vault knock-offs.

But in all realism, I ripped it off from someone else's rp that they made that I saw and didnt like the ending. In their rp its a thousand years after the apocalypse and most people have been pretty much thrown back to the mideval ages technology and culture wise cause most stuff has fallen apart or been reduced to rubble after all that time so no one really knows how to work a lot of the modern day stuff.

Anywho, so I didnt like it being that long out of touch with technology so I made my own.

300 years after the apocalypse and the radiation caused the ice caps to melt which caused the waters to rise and sink a lot of the land. Oh and the radiation created a bunch of mutated creatures and peoples.

Anyone not mutated is either in a vault or somewhere else they can be protected like the sewers under a big city or a russian subway metro.

And now 300 years later, everyone is coming out and seeing what all the hub bub is about.

That is my rp in a nutshell. Oh and I ripped off the fallout timeline too. In my rp the world ended in 2077.

I know its not cannon but can zion canyon yaoi guai be of a different breed?

I played through the dlc and I dont remember seeing one. They were talked about quite a bit and even follow-chalk warns you he sees one and you should stay away when you first meet him, but I never saw it.

And the ones from fallout 3 arent too intimidating. They are quite sad really.
They are just bears with bald spots and something that looks like moss growing on their faces.

I was thinking maybe bears with sharper and more deadly looking claws than the dull scratched up things from fall out 3 yaoi gaui paws.

http://www.vampfangs.com/scarecrow-chro ... der-fangs/ <<these but bigger and bear-like.
The outter fangs being twice the size of the inner ones.

Maybe the bears themselves look more fierce and deadly and not like they are shedding clumps of their fur due to radiation.
And 6 legs.
