Thats a very expensive fleet and a bankrupting one.

I wouldn't invest too much because what is Italy facing? You can't go toe to toe with france in a naval war or england and your army is designed to kill colonials and stuff.

I think the fleet should be strong to hold your own but to challenge might make the french or british weary of your intentions.

I think going all dredanughts is expensive since aircraft carriers will be a big in 20 years so your better off investing in more crusiers and destroyers and have having 6 dreds, 10 pre dreds are not worth it.

To keep a colonial empire a good fleet is more important than a huge army. You don't need that many troops to put down a revolt, but they need to be transported quickly.
