Sounds hostile.

Forcing me won't help anything. If you're going to threaten me to post immediately and expect that i comply you got that wrong. That's not how I worldbuild. You're angry? You're making me one after I see this post. Stop bossing me around in a collaborative effort.

And while we're at it, Bering, since I have nothing to contribute for the project as of now and one has seen me as a liability in here, I suggest that someone else take Belreich and make my main Celangor instead.

And as for the unserious posts I made earlier, I apologize for such, it is counterproductive in my part. But since I am told to "get off my tosh and post", I'll give you your request. But this is the last time I'll use Belreich.

Good day, Gentlemen.

Uh, okay, so is this a permanent move away from Belreich? and what of Godanur?

Don't take this to be an admonishment, but I will explain what I think is the reason for Mesrane's hostility:
Mesrane's issue is that you agreed to be one of the two "starters" of this conflict and thus you're needed for the earlier post because to get this thing moving we need you active and posting. By agreeing to this you agreed to be active and involved alongside Mesrane, but Mesrane has been waiting over two weeks for a response and is anxious to get a move on.
Once more that is not an admonishment to you, I understand that things come up in RL, but I think that is Mesrane's thinking on the manner.

I don't know why he should, I didn't even take it as an offensive comment... why is it people online immediately assume the worst? I get in trouble more often perhaps because I'm insensitive to people getting upset, but really, was that actually as offensive as its been made out to be? He said "get off your tosh and post"...

He could have said Hay fucknugget, start posting or get someone else to, but he didn't which obviously means he's just annoyed, not pissed, and he likely said tosh because it was the least offensive word he could think of.

Really, guys... c'mon. Let's just stop, and think. Just, one second actually think, did he say something offensive? Did he say something demeaning? No, he made what I found to be a grievance, followed by a playful quip, and a request. not one part of what he said was inappropriate...

It isn't what he said, it's the intent behind it. He very easily could have said "Vic, please post" and been done with it. But he didn't. And if Mes didn't post after that, well that's an entire other discussion, but that doesn't matter now.

I could've been a tad more civil perhaps, but it's been weeks and weeks and all we can get out of Vic is a single short post that does not in any way move the plot along. I'm getting really frustrated with what seems to me like laziness. I didn't say anything offensive although I rather felt like doing so. I see no reason to apologize for telling him to get a move on, for once.

We've been saying "please post" for like a month now with virtually no progress until today.

I think this highlights the bigger issue of the RP, no one is active. We need to get people involved, we have like 3-5 people posting regularly out of over a dozen registered players. We need something to encourage others to get active.

But what? New threads have thus far only worked for short periods of time before they poop out. TGing only brings people back that want to come back, and of course whether or not the few who do come back will remain active is always a tossup.

Idk. I say we go back to worldbuilding. We certainly seem to like that a lot.

So. I am going to post questions about your various nations and ask about certain aspects and whatnot, in an FB&NI-style system. Okay.

At this point I'll take it, let's see how it works:
Major architecture of Arcas went from Roman to Romanesque to Renaissance to Neoclassical to Rationalism before reaching Modern.
Amcar went Colonial to Neoclassical and then followed Arcas's evolution
Durera followed the Gothic school, just to spite Arcas

Major parties in your nation?

Colonial style houses are most common in the modern day. Romanesque is still quite popular.

Besides that pre-1600 Nyssa has fluctuated between Celtic (wood huts :p ) to roman-ish to Gothic and then a weird Romanesque-Renaissance hybrid.

Dammit :p

Anyone who's read my history knows that political parties are a newfound, up and coming revelation.

However, the Free Clan Party (centre-right), the Nyssan Socialist Coalition (left) and the NU (far-left) are the most consistently relevant parties. Non-party politics however continue to dominate and will for the foreseeable future.

The greatest novel to come out of your nation?

All Time: The Great War Cycle - A ten volume epic about the unification of Arcas
Folklead Era: My Travels - A novel following the travels of Oswald Reeve, a former republican soldier as he travels though post-revolution Arcas as it rebuilds after the war.

Duncrannon-Meaning "Valiant." A 1667 poll showed as much as 3.5% of the population might bear the name.

We do need to be more active on here. NS is struggling as a whole though from the holiday season and finals and whatnot.

Architecture in the USSN is very basic. Lots of unpainted concrete and squares. Very little creativity.

Bering wrote:Major parties in your nation?

Just the Saryad Party.

Mesrane wrote:The greatest novel to come out of your nation?

The Red Letter, a 916-page story of a man living in a dystopian future that strikingly resembled modern day USSN. Published eight years before the revolution. Banned now.

Bering wrote:Your nation's most common surname?

"Stipers", although more commonly with a prefix (such as "Vlastipers").

It wasn't. The "republic" was an attempt have some legitimate ruling body in the midst of the civil war; some of the republicans were loyal to the saryads, some loyal to the liers. It should also be noted that the republic was never centralized or powerful enough to have any actual control over any of Para.

This runs a bit deeper than the holiday lull. We've been very slowly suffocating for awhile now. Hopefully we can raise it from the dead again, but the resurrection would have to be permanant this time around.
