Vic, how does this work:

All the (non-Arcas) Arcasic nations of the Cagrbrim form a HRE of sorts under Donerist Belreich. However eventually you and the southern states reform to Canonicism and this causes a rift between the North and South. This last for a few centuries before a massive war in the later 1300s where the HRE-thing erupts in a civil war and Durera and Arcas join on the side of the North. The war ends with a treaty signed that allows the HRE to continue, but with the Emperor completely declawed and nations allowed to do what they wanted. Over the next 200 years Rechsmarks becomes the Prussia of the North and ends up swallowing all the Northern States while Belreich largely comes to dominate the southern states. Finally around 1560-1570, Rechsmark declares the Empire dissolved and leaves. Setting the stage for your rivalry, and why Rechsmark doesn't like Belreichers, not because they are Belreichers, but because they are Canonic and possible spies for Belreich.

Foriscism (Formerly Canonicism) is wayyy earlier rooted in Beliske history. That's one of the main driving points of the creation of the Southern Arcasan empire.

Because we are Gnostics too.

What if you reformed back to Foriscism after a brief Donerist Reformation that was always unpopular among the nobility or something?

Arcas, could there be two schools of Donerism, the Seresian-Zhouranese and the Turkau-Dureran schools of Donerism. The Seresian-Zhouranese school of Donerism is influenced by Halmonism and is more tolerant than the other Donerist school.

In fact perhaps we already hate Turkau and Duereran Donerists allowed in Arcas, but not Seresian and Zhouranese ones, what do you call your branch?
