How about some kind of like a loose Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth gist happening before the war? Probably Belly got more and more influential over Minor and an Intermarum ideology made it worse

But then how is an overwhelmingly ethnic Rechsmarker nation still influenced by Belreich after a separation that was probably violent? Assuming they have diplomatic relations at all, they would be pretty shitty for the Zuidenstad incident to spark war almost right away.

Eh, it might work, one major problem though, the Halicar System is set to self-destruct in 2200 AE... So that means to include Eordae, you'd be returning to the ruins of Human civilization, perhaps that might be a theme we could toy with...

All the (non-Arcas) Arcasic nations of the Cagrbrim form a HRE of sorts under Donerist Belreich. However eventually you and the southern states reform to Canonicism and this causes a rift between the North and South. This last for a few centuries before a massive war in the later 1300s where the HRE-thing erupts in a civil war and Durera and Arcas join on the side of the North. The war ends with a treaty signed that allows the HRE to continue, but with the Emperor completely declawed and nations allowed to do what they wanted. Over the next 200 years Rechsmarks becomes the Prussia of the North and ends up swallowing all the Northern States while Belreich largely comes to dominate the southern states. Finally around 1560-1570, Rechsmark declares the Empire dissolved and leaves. Setting the stage for your rivalry, and why Rechsmark doesn't like Belreichers, not because they are Belreichers, but because they are Canonic and possible spies for Belreich.

Foriscism (Formerly Canonicism) is wayyy earlier rooted in Beliske history. That's one of the main driving points of the creation of the Southern Arcasan empire.
