Anyway, the Tyrell line is pretty clear (Garlan-->Loras-->Margaery-->Olenna), but gets weaker as you go down the line. Olenna, if we're being honest, would simply go back to Highgarden and order her best generals to defend the Reach.

Also, Givious, what exactly happened in the "armies of the Crownland" post?

EDIT:

@Lorellion The plan was to either have Denya or Petyr on the small council. Edmyn needs to lead troops, so Garlan would refuse his position in a manner akin to "for his own good." If Edmyn is on the small council, it looks bad, since he should be defending the Riverlands if he's Lord Paramount. But Denya and Petyr would be welcome. :)

The Iron Throne is the claim. :p And again, what happened with the Crownlander army? Did they attack the lands of Stokeworth, are they besieging the castle?

From what I read.. Both. They are besieging the castle of stokeworth and cutting off routes to Kings Landing. So until another Army comes marching in to stop them, Kings Landing is cut off from the outside. it has its immediate surroundings to gather what food it can from the land and fish the river. I hope those food stores are full.

Gold for Queen's false Essosian bastards was paid to the iron bank not dragonstone

Gold is material. Thus, it's transit can be monitored. You can't possibly tell me that in the six odd years Garlan had been Master of Whispers that he never once got even a clue as to where the gold was going, that being the two most logical places--Dragonstone and the Iron Bank.

And I know that the Bloodfyre gold is not on Dragonstone; this is where Garlan guessed wrong.

They are ravaging the lands around it; having held up the messenger with stokeworths head they got the element of surprise on the lands. It's household men at arms would we rallied, but the levies no. But by doing so I have set siege with a medium force, and denied stoke his main forces. Kings landing is under siege

Whoa, what? King's Landing is under siege?

How about this: give me the numbers of your forces and where those numbers are positioned. We can avoid all ambiguity with this.

On phone, but they are in my post. It's day 5 the siege is set. I will post #s later, and by siege I mean blockade and army camped outside the wall not letting anyone in and harassing those that step outside

Roughly you have 6,750 men attacking Stokeworth lands/besieging the castle right now with 7,000 men camped outside kings landing. Across the Rush you have roughly 3,000 men either standing on the banks threatening anyone on the river of raiding supply lines through the kings road/rose road.

The Crownland forces have cut off all supply lines into Kings Landing. As was said you can try to forage outside the city (and be set upon by outriders) or try and fish the river (and fall under attack by archer fire if felt necessary by the captains)

Considering this is a defense that has existed for thousands of years, I suppose no, this is the only entrance to the Vale, out of the passage Lord Belmore is using, some dozen miles to the north, large enough for a couple of able soldiers to move through, leading to Strongsong. I would suppose another way to go to the Vale is by sea, but if Loras plans to get to the Vale near the Bloody gate it will have to be through the very gate, and be asked by the Knight of the Gate that question:

"Who would pass the Bloody Gate?"

Most likely, considering the Mountain Clans are massing up near the Gate.
