This is where those extra 10,000 could have come in handy, but oh well.
Anyway, the Reach will be at Lancel's mercy . . . and thus the Westerlands at Garlan's.

HAHAHA, that be true. I guess only Dornishmen can trust they can campaign and not risk any change in their food income, provided it is a rather soft winter.

Westerlands is a lot more defensible; not to mention Casterly Rock was made dragonproof (although that has yet to be tested) so it'll take a long, long time to fall.

You know, for someone with only one of the Seven Kingdoms, a tenuous grip on the capital, a lot of people who don't like you, and has enemies who have mature dragons that were able to destroy white walker armies when they were smaller and younger....
Well, you're awfully cocky, especially when you think about the Volantene fleet with forty thousand-odd pots of wildfire waiting to slag the Red Keep and/or Highgarden (which is conveniently located next to the Mander). And the fact that the Reach's armies will be split between the Reach (which will almost certainly be attacked and potentially face rebellions), and King's Landing, which will be besieged, potentially by an army with three very large dragons, doesn't really help your strategic position.
The way things stand right now, Garlan's basically screwed.

Yeah, thought I'd make things interesting. If anything, this would hurt me more than anyone else. It doesn't snow in Dorne, so if we march north during this, we'll be right fucked.

And Loras respectively. He's going to be riding fast and hard. Also, if Vardis accepts, Garlan is going to write to Ronnel.New Frenco Empire wrote:I'm not sure if I ever mentioned what season it was, it's currently Autumn/Fall. Winter is Coming.

Who said anything about dragons, or sieges? No one. The power lies in the proletariats.Senkaku wrote:You know, for someone with only one of the Seven Kingdoms, a tenuous grip on the capital, a lot of people who don't like you, and has enemies who have mature dragons that were able to destroy white walker armies when they were smaller and younger....

Garlan is cocky--indeed, he's fully arrogant. However, if we examine the nature of my comment, we will understand it was directed at the reactionary nature of Lancel Lannister--i.e., he is allowed Garlan to come and kill him as necessary. Also, how many sailors do you think are going to willing sail to their deaths? Everyone knows about the Battle of the Blackwater, everyone knows what happens to sailors when there's wildfire in the water.
Also, Garlan wouldn't face the dragons in field combat, and burning King's Landing to the ground would not earn House Crassius any favors.
