House Seat: Volantis
House's Faith: House Desseros follows many gods, as many people from all over have married into it. Most native-born Volantenes follow red R'hllor, though not especially devotedly. With marital ties to houses in Qarth, Meereen, and Braavos, various members of House Desseros worship various gods.
Military Forces: House Desseros controls a large fleet of around 300 ships, some of which are converted merchant craft. They also have a sizable purely commercial fleet. On land, they can field around 20,000 men, largely slave soldiers. Their forces make up an appreciable chunk of the Volantene military.
Sworn Houses: A number of other lesser Volantene noble houses, and the more powerful Houses Azher and Qhaedar are sworn to House Desseros. Those few Volantene noble houses that are not officially sworn to House Desseros are still under their sway, however.
Events within the House in the 50 years between the OP history and the RP:
Daenerys Targaryen may have smashed the slave trade in Slaver's Bay, but the silver queen never did break Volantis, nor approach it. Volantis has continued in its old ways for the last fifty years, and presently is ruled by the triarchs Lysis Desseros, Raperio Azher, and Thyris Azhad. However, Volantis, due to the end of the slave trade in Slaver's Bay, has, along with Qarth, become a center for that trade and grown even wealthier from the influx of slaves and slavers. The city suffered several slave revolts as the Mother of Dragons continued the reclamation of her empire, one of which came immediately after Daenerys seized the Iron Throne and was led by the widow of the waterfront, but all were eventually crushed. During this time, Lysis Desseros used the instability and fear in the city to vastly increase his House's influence. He has been continuously elected triarch for the last forty-nine years, and has won the love of Volantis's people, even slaves, to whom he has extended a basic charter of rights to help stop abuse. As well as making a number of popular decisions and enacting popular policies, he has shrewdly manipulated the other noble houses of Old Volantis and eliminated his enemies ruthlessly. Volantis remains a wealthy, powerful, and ancient city, and House Desseros's star is still ascendant.
RP Example: One, two, if you need more do say so and I'll find some.
Notes:
House Desseros basically controls much of Volantis, and has been cautious regarding Daenerys while she reigned. While Volantis did not free her slaves, they have been given some rights, and the city has also become friendlier to trade from Westeros and the cities in Essos that the Dragon Queen conquered. Lysis Desseros is often described as "the Tywin of Volantis", for his similarities to the late Tywin Lannister in his political maneuvering. He is still in good health and maintains a firm grip on his House and the city.
Accepted, but I advise you tweak it for Tyrell's sake.

And I'll lower it to 10,000 mercenaries. We'll say three weeks? They don't need to be levied, after all, but they are all across the Narrow Sea. I'd say a week for the message to arrive, a few days for them to consider, and about a week-and-a-half to cross the Narrow Sea.
