Redwyne bastard . . .

Anyway, an interesting post from both you and Aryle. I'll be wrapping up this coup shortly, and then I'll be discussing with both Vardis and Trystane. With any luck, I'll be able to keep the Seven Kingdoms off my back for a few days. I need to stabilize King's Landing, find Marsella and her child, maybe send out a search for Lucas and Adrian . . .

Need to deal with those Crownlands Houses. Also, I need to ask you two things, New Frenco:

A) Of the Crownland Houses Thygar Crassius raised, how many can I bribe onto my side?
B) Is it safe to assume Asha is in the Red Keep, so I can seize her?

A) A few. The houses sworn to Dragonstone, like Velaryon or Celtigar or Bar Emmon, are out of the question. You could possibly get away with Stokeworth and a few of the mainland houses.
B) I explained away her inactivity by saying she was at sea. So, she's out of your grasp for now.

A) Yeah, my plan was Stokeworth along with a few "lesser Houses." Also, how many men can Stokeworth and those "lesser Houses" (let's say three) raise? How many, furthermore, can all the Houses that are going to amass at King's Landing raise?
B) Well. That is . . . regrettable. But oh well. Is it safe to assume that she also commands the Royal Fleet?
B1) Does it still stand that my harbor chain is gone? That the harbor burned?

B) Most of it, yes. She might return to King's Landing, where you can get here there, or she might get word of what happened and take most of the fleet with her. I need to talk with Keznov about it.
B1) No, but the plot remains in a sense. A bunch of merchants, foreign and domestic, plotted to steal the chain, but were caught by the Gold Cloaks and several Westerosi who wanted no part in the plot.

You can probably sway about 6,000 or so to your side. Possibly more, depending on if you care enough about the tiny houses that dot the Crownlands.

@The United Realms Of Lords and Paradox

Okay, so what exactly has happened here? Brynden Valenvareth has frozen--an economic clause no medieval society to my knowledge ever thought of--the royal treasury? How? What's to stop Braavos from simply siding with another person, giving them gold, etc., etc.? I mean, if Lord Valenvareth spoke for the royal treasury simply because he was master of coin, the obvious solution is that he would be dismissed and more meek master of coin be positioned in his place. One that doesn't destroy economies.

No, that's perfectly fine. IC, Garlan is going to fight Brynden to the death in that political arena. But it's fine OOC. I do think, however, it's a little unreasonable to expect that Braavos is just going to withhold all of a treasury. A royal treasury, no less.

A coup is bad for business and for someone who doesn't have a lot of claim to a throne trying to claim it, the Ironbank may not support them just have the fact that it's a bad investment

But, seriously I don't want to start this again but you bribing Crownlyn houses now do your side? Even you just taking 6000 men is gutting whatever forces I could've raised. I mean Stokeworth, Rosby, and Duskendale can muster 15,000 of the 20-25,000 that the crownlands can raise... And I believe Blackwater owns Rosby and Duskendale (which I haven't seen a post from him)... So yeah... No troops for me

I was about to post holdings, but decided not to for whatever reason.

You can probably gather the lords of Cracklaw Point. They aren't worth bribing from a Tyrell standpoint, but they could muster a good 2,000 men for you. Of course, best not send Celtigar men there.

I believe it was stated that "Dragons can die as easily as men"... So when looking at the odds if I was a crackclaw lord I wouldn't follow the dragon banner if the rest of the crownlands are flying the rose

Whoever said that is a fool.

Either way, it's stated that the lords of Cracklaw are staunch Targ loyalists. Convince them that you're of the dragon and they'll fight by your side. Cracklaw point is a small victory, but given your situation, you can get every loyal man you can get.

Whoever said that is a fool.

Either way, it's stated that the lords of Cracklaw are staunch Targ loyalists. Convince them that you're of the dragon and they'll fight by your side. Cracklaw point is a small victory, but given your situation, you can get every loyal man you can get.

The Crownlands would be more Dragon due to the restored Targs, Plus dany didn't take their land when she came back so loyalty would be More Targs/dragon family, it would split the crownlands

Every man I can get? He has more gold cloaks ( if we are going by the 6k from SoIaF) then I do soldiers

That is a good point. Keep that in mind, Giv.

I certainly hope he doesn't. 2k Gold Cloaks are plenty. Tripling their numbers proved to be a bigger liability in the books, since they were barely reliable.

That's what I was trying to do with the riders but Stokeworth is the largest and most powerful NPC House. They are no longer in my sphere of influence.

And to the loyal to house targ; apparently not if gold is involved

Gold is king, but men would usually choose to go a little bit poorer if it means that their castle isn't consumed in dragonfire. If you get my drift.

Alright sorry to say this but i have to withdraw from this Roleplay, i enjoyed it but something has come up that will eat up a lot of my time over the next few weeks so i wont be able to get posts up on a schedule i would like so im leaving. Someone else can control my house though if they want, or it can be turned into a group of NPC's whatever the OP decides.

Wish the rest of you the best of luck and i hope you have fun with the rest of the RP!
