Just to make it clear, I do not have any idea at the moment which Tully faction will be victorious. I honestly don't have a preference one way or another, because while Medgar and Elaena may be more likable, Edmyn, Petyr, and Deyna are all extremely interesting to write. I just wanted everyone to know that, because after that last post, it may seem like I am leaning towards Medgar a bit more. He may have a better head start to the civil war, but Edmyn definitely has not lost yet.

I do want to note that Ned Stark II has not been in some great big battle, but he has fought in minor conflicts in the North...aka he is not a green in fierce fighting and commanding troops

Everyone's been in minor skirmishes. But there's a difference between two thousand men fighting to the death, and twenty. Garlan isn't going to let those around him forget it, especially when they question his martial prowess.

How many? A score? Two score? Even if they get the gate open, they'll be killed before the Crownlander armies reach it, unless the armies are already at the gate, in which case they'll be attacked by heavy arrow fire. And ballistas.
