If Venice is as influential to the Pope as they claim, then the Catholics should care quite a bit. Besides being a competing trading power, the Ottomans pretty much border Venice. As a hostile state across the narrow Adriatic, they should focus on getting rid of the Turks first and foremost.

Still, I think the real problem with your problem trying to get me to help with your problem, is that my Pope is on a years-long journey travelling to other European powers in the West and attempting to form a Catholic League.

Your best, and most believable, hope is to send another letter.

the Imperial Regalia was meant to be overflashy. It was a demonstration of the Eastern Roman wealth and the power held by the emperor. That's just a glove. The emperors typically wore entire toga-like clothing made just like that.

Second: the only reason I reserved the post was so that I could finish it in the morning as I was working on it late at night and it will be finished today.

Third: @Kahlen, I plan to accept Brittany's alliance offer, improve relations with the two Sicily's, write some letters to the HRE about this anti-HRE coalition, do some military tactic stuff and a little colonizing/exploration. Also what month is it now as I have lost track at how time moves in this RP.

Fourth: I am just wondering would Burgundy have a lot of artillery or maybe have a artillery modifier as when I was looking up the history of burgundy I discovered that at the battle of Nancy in 1477 the Burgundians had a very large amount of artillery for the time, they possessed 30 cannons and 3,000 men so that ratio is 10 cannons per 1,000 men meanwhile most armies at the beginning of the 17th century only used two cannons per 1,000 men. It also states on wikipedia that in the Hundreds year war the Burgundians rapidly advanced artillery tactics and that during the Hundreds year war the Burgundians maintained the largest and most powerful artillery force in Europe.

Fifth: Just stating for realism that I do not believe that both the English and Russians will be joining this anti-HRE coalition as the Russians are land locked and do not border the HRE and have problems of their own back home that are much more important such as Novgorod, the Crimean's and some religious turmoil. The English are focused more on conquering Scotland and Ireland and would never work together with France and would not attack one of the only other Protestant powers in the world at the time.

No, I mean like you'd take hours to get any shit done. Remember that the latest extent of Burgundy was a peaceful vassal like existence with Spain.

Alou, I think that, realistically, the Ottomans would have a lot more revolts with the amount of Christians, Greeks, Armenians, Bedouins, Levantines, Egyptians, and Berbers in their Empire along with the fact that their military is based on enslaving the aforementioned people which likely makes them angry.

Ah, but as Pope, I see you as Greek heathens that are trying to fight true Rome from lands that not longer hold your own namesake. Ergo, not Roman, holy, or imperial in my Biased Character's view.

I'm still hoping 2 things:

1) the Athenians attack the Pope in their zealous rage, not knowing he is the Pope

2) the Ottomans get as many revolts as really should've happened by now, owning so many minorities and enslaving them all. If the Athenians, mostly Greek and mostly Orthodox, revolt due to a very small Catholic Catalan population, then the Ottomans should have a bit of trouble.
