Don't you spoil the fun or I'll go all Chatham on you ;).

If you were serious, I never claimed to - I just told the Byzantines that they could only get my help if they would offer me a full trade monopoly with their lands.

As the near-uncontested Trade Hegemon of the Mediterranean, I wouldn't allow that.

Persia is my other problem.

My main focus is Byzantine and Mediterranean trade. If I have a way to indirectly controls Venice...

Not even the Pope can control Venice.

That doesn't impress me, tiny sloops don't have much on massive Venetian Caravels. I happen to de facto control the Mediterannian Trade. What do you control? The Lowlands?

The Baltic trade, as well as the trade of the old Hanseatic League. Dutch ships have slaughtered huge Spanish caravels in the hundreds during the 80 years war. Just swarm them and set them on fire. Worked every time.

Meanwhile, the Iroquois could give two shits about which of you trades with the other white people. Just don't expect a warm welcome in my ports..

Really.. it gets damn cold there.

First: bump

Second: the only reason I reserved the post was so that I could finish it in the morning as I was working on it late at night and it will be finished today.

Third: @Kahlen, I plan to accept Brittany's alliance offer, improve relations with the two Sicily's, write some letters to the HRE about this anti-HRE coalition, do some military tactic stuff and a little colonizing/exploration. Also what month is it now as I have lost track at how time moves in this RP.

Fourth: I am just wondering would Burgundy have a lot of artillery or maybe have a artillery modifier as when I was looking up the history of burgundy I discovered that at the battle of Nancy in 1477 the Burgundians had a very large amount of artillery for the time, they possessed 30 cannons and 3,000 men so that ratio is 10 cannons per 1,000 men meanwhile most armies at the beginning of the 17th century only used two cannons per 1,000 men. It also states on wikipedia that in the Hundreds year war the Burgundians rapidly advanced artillery tactics and that during the Hundreds year war the Burgundians maintained the largest and most powerful artillery force in Europe.

Fifth: Just stating for realism that I do not believe that both the English and Russians will be joining this anti-HRE coalition as the Russians are land locked and do not border the HRE and have problems of their own back home that are much more important such as Novgorod, the Crimean's and some religious turmoil. The English are focused more on conquering Scotland and Ireland and would never work together with France and would not attack one of the only other Protestant powers in the world at the time.

The Baltic Trade, a collection of half frozen ports moving lumber and steel when most nations have other ports (Russia the Black Sea, Scandinavia the North Sea)

Your naval combat ability is irrelevant. Warships don't generate revenue.

So...how many of you guys want the Papal States to go to hell while the Pope is away? Have a bunch of Cardinals trying to vie for various jobs that would normally be under the Pope's purview?
.
.
.
I say this because I want to have to do a battle with the forces I brought along at some point, and rebels in the Papal states is the perfect thing to distract the Pope from the fact that one of his Cardinals essentially declared open season on the Byzantines a few days ago.

However, if Allen can reinstate his power by posting IC or OOC before you make your app and it is approved, he maintains his position and you could rp France or the Two Sicilies or Milan or some other significant power (Denmark isn't too bad).

He allied with a Protestant nation though and that is in a way saying that he is tolerant of the heretics and no longer attempting to convert them to Catholicism. Also if you could look a few posts up could you please answer my questions.

It is open so long as Allen doesn't object to you having it since he hasn't posted IC yet.
