Indeed Russia held its line proudly, prohibiting the use of nuclear weaponry for fear of communication loss which was critical in keeping the country together unlike other countries that proceeded to liberally use nuclear weapons on their own soil, the death tolls were great as forces reunited and came together for constant campaigns, Russian navy forces kept as many people on board as possible while sending supplies back and forth, the airforce day in and day out running sorties across the night's that blurred together in an effort to halt the constant tide of the dead, but thanks to older soviet style building of great concrete walls and solid large steel gates that would take tanks to bash through forts and other fortifications of the old days the Russians were able to stay safe under the watchful protection of their ancestors Red Star.

Unlike other nations Russia didn't splinter and fracture apart, for each city knew it would need the efforts of the Russian military to rebuild and stay safe from the zombie threat. Now in the aftermath Russia is the single largest and economic power left in the world, and using this might has started to reform the eastern nation into one secured against further outbreak and paranoid of this clear bio-terrorism before establishing a unit consisting of Spetsnaz, VDV and retired soldiers as a specialized zombie hunter force, the Зомби Удар батальон or in English Zombie Strike Battalion, and started to rebuild its industry lost.

You have to remember that nations across the world were severely depopulated, including Russia because of its size and population. Moscow and St Petersburg were nuked along with most of Western Russia. Not to mention that they dealt with wandering hordes from all over Europe and Asia.

You have to remember that nations across the world were severely depopulated, including Russia because of its size and population. Moscow and St Petersburg were nuked along with most of Western Russia. Not to mention that they dealt with wandering hordes from all over Europe and Asia.

When was Moscow Nuked? cause I stated in my app it held a brave defence at the cost of 2 mil of its 5 mil citizens.

Scot, I good guideline to use for military numbers is 1% of the population. So Russia's active army should be around 610,000. For reserve, I do 4% of the population.
