What do you mean refuses to accept you?

I tried to register. It didn't accept my registration.

I don't know why I tried to register; yesterday was incredibly boring, so that might have something to do with it.

Yay for being told to go fuck yourself! That happened to me last night, from my former high school band director of all people!

Sorry, I'm a little bitter.

It was Cary Band Day, which is the competition the band hosts. It is tradition -- tradition carries great value within the Cary Band -- that the alumni go watch the band warm up. This year, myself and a few friends were going to go watch them -- they were warming up in the gym -- and found the band director in the doorway. We asked, "Are they in there?"

And he said, "They are, but I'd rather you not be."

Too obvious. I'd go with "Davidson" or "Fisher".

So, I just put Neuromancer and Snow Crash on my Kindle. Going to read them in that order.

Next I'll probably do Starship Troopers and the Forever War. Any suggestions?

I had started the last one. Found the very first few pages very entertaining, but homework and stuff like that cockblocked me from reading further.

You should watch Gotham.

It's kind of like The Wire, if it stopped every now and then for the Third Doctor's son and the kid from the Omen to hang out. Also, replace all the gritty realism with gritty cartoonishness, and throw in Harvey fucking Bullock and the goddamned Penguin for good measure.

Admittedly, a show about ordinary policemen in a city populated by mad criminals is quite an interesting concept.
