Sorry for not posting about this matter. Most species territories overlap as it is, it's just that a colored region on a map shows what species lives there. To put it in a better term, that region has a majority of its inhabitants as Species A. Species B and C can also be there, but they are minorities within that region. If Seb isn't going to budge, then I'll force him to give up some of his species' land in order to allow you to have some breathing room, considering that, with these last few applicants in the Americas, you're boxed in. Until then, just try to approach Seb again to see if you two can reach a compromise.

Claiming more territory for your species is simple, you just say that your species is beginning to explore in this region and is starting to build communities. If said region belongs to another player... well, you're going to have to fight for dominance over that territory. Same exact thing for nations, as usual, except nations could always sell territory to a neighbor if they wish to avoid conflict.

How are we supposed to get our claims on the map updated though? There needs to be some kind of thread for this, like the one we had in HOM.

You know how on the OP, you have an OP Help Hotline? Add another code to that which will be used for any map claims, that way you can easily find people's posts and add it to the map.

There has to be someway to organize map claims though. Otherwise, it is just going to be a giant mess. Some claims will get overlooked, while others will be recognized, and this will generate confusion and possibly anger.
