Actually go ahead, take it. But, you won't keep it for long. The Elites are much more capable in the cold, and you're not gonna last long.

So are you in the North-East or in the North-West? There are at least two maps telling different things.
As for keeping it for long, we're pretty good in the cold, too, and better adapted to the environment. We have camouflage, raid tactics, we can stay on top of the snow (due to our webbed feet) instead of sinking into it like your huge war machines will, our equipment is at the same time simpler, sturdier and more diverse, we can communicate instantaneously over large distances ... our Defense stat matches your Imperialism, you know.

Good luck taking any of Africa if I decide to move northwards and drive them back across the Med.

Balkanize them. Then kill all of them.

Then we can set about fighting each other.

Our hides alone are rather thick, let alone surrounded by steel armor. And Elites take great pride in having some of the best equipment in North America. We also take after the Halo counterparts in the art of stealth and camouflage. In the end, I suppose it will be a battle of strong and heavy vs light and agile. And I am Alaskan red. However, remember this. In the case we do start to take territory, a southern expansion by you would leave us unable to attack, as we are susceptible to heat.

You'd have to buy a lot of territory or some from the Devaskyl as well, they dominate my borders, I have a larger shared border with them than I do you. I could get to work on a larger road system to connect my new gains and let you use it freely to connect to your new territory till you can use the Oni war to gain ports on the Mediterranean to connect with them through water ways.

I'm willing to buy this territory, as it is necessary for maintaining our Empire.

I'll probably just take a small portion of Africa, or I will just make those territories a client state, like I am planning to do with a large portion of Lingang's nation.

I mean, its about 1/5 of the current Republic to connect you to what's currently Romanesque Men territory, that's a lot of our land and that's the least consuming path I've found. Its very unlikely to be allowed, you'd probably need to buy from the Devaskyl as well or just not join in and build entirely for the Oni war.

Yes, I suppose it would come down to guerilla warfare versus imperial legions .. I can't really imagine how 12-foot-tall black monsters are going to camouflage themselves in snow, though. Even if you used camo clothing (which your app didn't mention), you're still huge and crushingly heavy. You don't have cloaking invisibility tech here :p
Steel plate in AD 500 wasn't really a thing. The best they had was chainmail and lorica-type scale armor. You could use the ancient Greek models, but when adapted to an Elite's frame, those would be incredibly heavy, and would restrict your movement enormously regardless of your weight.
Anyway, a taiaha made of steel would have a sharp, square cross-sectioned point, which could punch through any realistic (even for you guys) amount of mail or scale armor with our strength behind it, as well as a particularly devastating oar end which could split AD 500 helmets easily. All in all, it would be pretty much the best anti-armor weapon around.
Right, so I'l edit my post and we'll start exploring the South.

Your cat people in Latin America right? Maybe on day I'll have a border on the Atlantic ocean to to start landing over in the New World, I'll have the tech decently fast compared to a lot of people practically everywhere.

Steel was decently common by about 500AD, a lot of the larger empries used it mainly, though bronze did see use as shields a lot, and Iron armor, steel weapons were common at that tech level. I rambled and I'm sure that is a confusing sentence, and I don't care. FIGURE IT OUT

Yes, steel weapons and steel scale armor were a thing. Steel plate armor wasn't. It wasn't ever really a thing in Japan, either.
As for batracian regeneration, isn't that too OP, considering just how powerful you guys already are?
