"But I like Unix"... says the end user chick who, by virtue of not holding any lofty positions, has no say in what her employers implement. Theoretically, she could also say "I like unicorns" and it would carry the same intrinsic value... that is to say, no value at all because she's absolutely daft.

I sure did, but won't have it uploaded until I return home. Got snazzy pics of the wedding too. It was really nice. My cousin looked beautiful in her wedding gown. I want one lol!

Depends what they're deleting.

Home or root directory? Easy fix, just boot a working install from a USB.

Key files? Better hope they deleted them in their user folder and not in the public or backup folder or you're screwed.

Then again, if your end users have backup folder permissions, maybe you deserve to have your files deleted.

We'd tell you, but we'd have to kill you, Tilt.

Actually, if one of you computer gods could please tell me how to turn off auto correct in MS Word, I will be forever in your debt. It's slaughtering my stuff. Stasis vs status. Sniffer vs snifter. Gallant vs gallivant.

Agy, nope. We can't access any of that, unfortunately. We just hang out for a few weeks until the servers die, and then it's a paid holiday.

Like so.

Sweet, same steps as 07 then. Open the menu in the upper-left corner and click on the button that says Word Options. Then, in Word options, select the Proofing tab and inside that menu open the Autocorrect Options.

There should be a checkbox for replacing words as you type. Uncheck it and it should stop autocorrecting.

Somehow I knew that totally useless "Intro to Computing" class they made mandatory for CS majors would finally come in handy one day. ;)

Somehow I knew taking "Qualitative and Quantitative Reasoning" instead of "Intro to Computing" was a bad idea. :p
