Poor Superman.

What if Bielefeld had a superhero? Or are the cultists considered the resident superheroes? Each of them should have their own unique costume and super name.

I thought I tried to make one a while back (Rick Moranis with freeze powers) although he was forgotten fast. And I thought half of the apartment could qualify as superheroes or anti-heroes.

@Gio. Superheroes: tried to get people signed on for it several threads ago. It's still an option. The cultists are just functioning as the NMJM because no one else wanted to save the day. Would love to see characters take on the role because......

@NVE. You're right. Nearly everyone could qualify as superheroes. (I can't remember your super character. I feel bad. 'Tis me, not you. This weekend kicked my ass.)

@Ry. You'll learn the setting quicker if your character interacts with others. NVE's excellent to interact with, too.

@All. I'm very open towards a "supers" tinge. I have plenty of good things to throw towards characters. The characters already have depth so it won't become cheesy 2-D people in tights.

I just don't really want her working for the city for a few reasons.

Is anyone lacking an apartment number? Is anyone missing a tab or a character in their tab? TG so I'm aware of it and I'll fix.

@Torsi. It wouldn't be working for the city. It would be residents banded together under some strange name (if they wanted) and doing the work of supers. The city would allow them to get away with some stuff because they were serving a role (keeping crime down) but going all-out vigilante without the city's blessing could lead to a variety of things. (Innocent person falsely beaten by vigilante sues character. Hard feelings arise between mundanes and Residents. Residents get fan clubs and trading cards. Anything is possible.) I don't see Torii as a villain. The raptors, although evil when trying to take over the world, aren't necessarily evil just because they want to be evil. That makes no sense. I'll explain after I've had sleep.

@Van. It's however the Residents decide to set it up using existing their characters. Perhaps your character is the one that suggests it to them?

Character Background/Biography: Living in Italy was a bit difficult. He was born into a mafioso family in the southern tip of Italy on the east coast in a town called Siracusa. He lived in a sense of security, due to the fact that the local Don was a big fan of his father's pizza place on the sea front. Van soon became friends with a couple of the mafiosos who lived around there and became part of the Mafia when he was twelve, albeit just a lackey who was bringing water too and from bureaus and desks.The mob simply would not allow a kid to do criminal acts at that young age.

Nevertheless, he stayed with them and soon was even given junior-mafioso status. During school, he acts on his own and generally tries to work on his own no matter which kind of thing they are doing. He also has become almost romantically attached to music, particularly violins and the like. He would always listen to music in his room whenever he wasn't doing anything, and on his 14th birthday a friend of his from the mob bought him a pair of headphones, before quickly being murdered by a raid orchestrated by the police. Van has since then treasured the headphones almost as if it was his bible.

As a young boy, Van quickly became part of the mafia, albeit a junior member who didn't commit any crimes. He is every bit a normal guy, minus the ability to control both water and fire, with a couple of exceptions. During high school he worked on his own for most of his projects and whatnot, but he was quite open with his friends outside of school, i.e. the people in the mafia. When he was 14, he received his first pair of headphones from a friend who was killed shortly after by a police raid. Now he lives on wearing his headphones so that the spirit of his dead friend can see the world with him.

Yea, I worded that wrong. Maybe not a villain, but I just wouldn't have Torii go with a super group or band where she'd have certain limits placed on her. Being unable to use force on everyone or go to certain extremes wouldn't be in her interest. That, and she dislikes the Bielefeld Government and the NMJM since way back. She'd be more inclined to work separate from them, and feel like she doesn't have to be part of a group to help out.

On another note, for Creepfest, I'll put in Torii as my main.

I'm wondering what to do with Katya right now...I'll have her join in the festivities soon. Maybe right now? She's still with Dora, though. Should I have Katya try to rekindle her buddy-buddy deal with Torii, or be more direct and antagonistic again? I'm thinking option one, but two could be fun.
