I'd send Rmwtyliin down for meet and greet, but I have to type up something like 9+ more pages of original play and do math. Maybe next week if it's still going.
Come to the light side.  We have teamwork, waffles, popcorn, grape juice, and way too much ramen.

The "I hate my job" kind, though it may cause me to hallucinate the NSFW kind. I've had three hallucinations in the past two weeks. I mentioned one to Swith.

Oh, man, finally finished my CS work and my quizzes. I'm picking up a second wind right now, feel really pumped even though I only had 2 hours of sleep last night. Think I'll push out a couple of posts before this new-found energy deserts me.

Not even close. We just finished learning about stacks this week by coding our own pseudo-stack. This weekend I have to head back to lab to start next week's assignment, which is gonna be applying stacks, lists, linked lists, and circular linked lists to push, pop, and rearrange items.

It's hell, but I just keep telling myself the money is worth it. One day I'll be sitting on a pile of cold, hard cash and chuckling at younger me struggling with such elementary things as data structures. For now, though, it's fucking torture. It's like getting a needle for a vaccine - hurts at first, but good for you in the long run.

@Cer: I wish I had any to give. I'm fully awake but I can already feel the crash coming in a few hours. I feel floaty, like I'm watching myself in the third person do things without my direct input. Could be worse, though. Pre-PL, had a basic coding class where I had to self-teach Java and Python, and I ended up doing 36 hours no sleep to cram for the final. Got so many second winds it started getting ridiculous; the crash, predictably, sucked.

I know that feeling. I had to tell myself to go to sleep last night.

1) An African man with a Portuguese accent named Geraldo was telling me how to code in the middle of last week's scramble.
2) I thought I'd gotten DIC in my left arm.
3) oh...what was 3...shew, I forget. It'll come to me sooner or later.

Not sure if I'm disgracing the field but I'm just here for the money. If I could make money writing or doing philosophy and literature I would totally be there. Unfortunately, I can't, and I didn't work my ass off in high school and have my parents co-sign three loans just for me to graduate with a financially useless degree.

I've got Mon in the dining room, TNEL.

Next up is the next plot post for the Silent Hill story.

Disgracing the field...? Oh, please. The field is a disgrace: nothing works right, most of the tools people are utterly dependent on -- operating systems, browsers, media players -- are riddled with crippling security bugs -- and after 50-odd years of the same problems, nobody in the field can figure out what to do about it. Banging out code for money has the advantage of honesty.
