Don't worry I'll be letting Mordor deal with you. The reinforcements however are real. Rohan and me are already hashing out the details of the war.

Besides, I only took the northern half of Fangorn. As long as you don't start burning trees, (Now that would make me >:( >:( ), I'll stay in my half.

About Fortifications

Postby Liecthenbourg » Sat Jun 28, 2014 10:14 am

This is going by a base number of 10,000 labourers (Essentially the forces you commit to built the structure), so, you fluctuate accordingly to how much population you have. So, if you have 20,000 labourers it reduces it by half and such.

It takes 10,000 Labourers:
5 IC pages to construct a Wooden Fortress, 10 for a Stone Fortress.
1 IC page to construct a Tower
2 IC pages to construct an Outpost.

Elves, Dwarves and Uruks receive a quality bonus, essentially their labourers are worth 1.2 of everyone else's.

1. The dragon is on a quest right now to get gold from the dwarves
2. I don't think the dwarves will be happy about that, and they would at least be cautious, remembering Smaug.
3. It would take hundred's of years for the dragon to embed the gold into its scales to make in invulnerable like Smaug
4. Why would it do that for you? I don't think that you have enough gold and riches to make the dragon willing enough to risk its life. And besides, after the quest it will have plenty of gold, and Lorien is no Erebor with tons of riches.
5. We have hundreds of archers, buddy, and the vulnerable scales and eyes of a dragon are big enough targets for hundreds of elf archers that rarely miss
6. Galadriel
So basically, buddy, not happening. Sorry.

Well, think of it this way; if you use 2000 people to build a Tower, it'll take you (1*5/1.2) = 4.2 IC pages to raise a nice stone tower.

The High Interrogator applied the poker again, the searing of flesh of the wretched creature, and at long last it sang out.

"Shire! Baggins!"

Beside the twisted Morgul Orc the hooded figure nodded, and walked away at speed, the black cloak swirling about it. This creature stank of the power of a Ring, that which the Ringwraiths knew to be the One. It marked him as if a brand had been pressed into his furrowed brow, and the Dark Lord was hungry for news of his precious. When the first echoes of its touch had been felt there had been much commotion in the Tower, and finally the wretched Gollum had given forth its location. Now his most terrible of servants would gather; the Great Eye knew not of this Shire or this Baggins, but they would be found, and the One torn from their clutches, dead or alive. From the far corners of the Empire of Mordor they came, the Nine, and anew they would be sent forth, hooded and cloaked in disguise as riders in black.

Where's Gandalf!!! He's abandoned us!

West ever did the fortress rising here look; the Elves were hard at work too, but there numbers and hands were far less than those that worked opposite them. Ruined, they called the Orcs, weak and frail. But such sneering would get them nowhere when their woods burned and their blond heads rolled in the dirt. In their thousands the Orcs labored, some on guard against the foe, but more working to finish the crude clapboard road back east towards the eaves of the Mirkwood and Amon Lanc, barely visible in the distance. Along the slowly built track came carts drawn by beasts of burden bearing the corpses of forest giants, for the work that still had to be done to raise the Tower of the Eyes higher still. A brazier it would have, to alert Amon Lanc to any attempts by the Elves to cross the Great River, and a strong garrison to slow even that passing. More could be done though, and would be. Behind the pallisade of the Tower the construction of the light nearly silent craft continued, and behind the fortress itself a new structure was rising. Immense, carried on rollers, the size of a large bridge. It's purpose was unknown, but still the Orcs labored.

When did I call your orcs, weak? Didn't I mention that I was terrified?!?
And hey, not all of my elves are blond!
Why do you can it Amon Lanc(Sindarin I believe) instead of Dol Guldur(which I have to admit, sounds pretty epic.)
Why does everyone want to burn my woods?!?! Stop ganging up on me, please.
Gulp, I said, it before, I'll say it again. I'm dead. HELP!!!

Yeah, on this matter, i guess it would get about time the ents or hourns would find out about it..
Another thing, burning down Fangorn? You have any idea what that would take you? I don't even think such thing is possible (exept when we're talking about 50-100 IC pages or so... It would be even quicker to just cut it down.
