Just figured y'all should be aware because realistically Bismark was a power hungry and cunning manipulator.

Doesn't really mean that the AC universe has that happen.

He wasn't power-hungry. Just a cunning man and excellent manipulator of events.

He didn't just go and unify Germany because he was bored.

If you don't think that's why Bismrak did the whole German Unification bit. To create a powerful, single state, Germanic Empire that would be unmatched in its superiority. Welp, I dunno what to tell you.

That is exactly what he did but he was not power-hungry. He made Germany powerful. Not himself.

And by making Germany powerful he in turn makes himself powerful? When you extend the power of the country you run, you extend your own power?

Like I've heard this argument before on subjects similar to this and I don't see why people always skip that.

It's almost always the intention.

Shocking news here, history books tend to forget the negatives to people they view as heroes.

If one were to do a simple browse of the Wikipedia Page for Bismark you would see that nothing he ever did could even be considered "pro-Assassin". Like really I suggest reading what this man did because like I get the feeling some of you are very mistaken about how Europe worked during this time period. The man intentionally sabotaged France's reputation with other European nations so France would not have any allies so he could kill it. The amount of manipulating and flat out lying he did just confirms what I'm stating here.

It's great you guys are getting into the RP, but Historical Characters can't be changed this drastically, because quite frankly, it's bullshit. You don't like what they did or how they acted, make up a character and have it do what you like.

Well then, you want every f*cking historical figure to be a Templar? Because, that's basically how it's gonna be unless the players intervene.

What you're doing is a total personality revamp of the most important man of the time period. There are plenty of historical pro-Assassin characters of the time. Hell, we've given you all of France at this point. I'd say Italy but unification and more power so that also fits the more so pro-Templar leaning. Spain at this time was, well, interesting. You could easily have them lean pro-Assassin too. Denmark and the other Nords could also lean pro-Assassin. Read up on their leaders.

Edit: Also, you'd likely have the Pope on your side. The pope was opposed to Italian Unification (which is likely Templar backed) and would therefore seek your help to keep the Papal State alive. Hell, the man asked everyone else for help.

Well, I'm gonna go ahead and say, Bismarck has more to offer to the Assassin's than Napoleon III. As far as I'm concerned, he's pretty independent.

Napoleon is irrelevant here. The Assassins have had a stronghold in France since the Bourbons got the boot. Regardless of what Bismark has to offer you, it is not based off of that. It is based off of his personality and ambitions, which you are attempting to change drastically.

Plus you have Marx on your side, you just didn't send enough people to properly ensure he was out of the hands of the Templars. Now he is in heavily pro-Templar Scotland in the hands of a Templar. What do the Templars plan on doing with him? Nothing, just making sure you don't find him.

Also, good luck trying to find him in Scotland. Easy to hide people there.

He won't be with Andrew much longer, I'm sure he'll find a Lord to go live with in Northern Scotland.

Just shush. Why are you mad the Assassin's got Germany on their side? For f*ck's sake the Kaiser is probably going to be pro-assassin too. It's going to be interesting.

Because you are completely revamping the most important man in Europe's personality.

Plus, I'm pretty sure Sotoan has approved of being a Co-Op (via TG) and that is mainly why I am commenting on it.

Bismark is not pro-Assassin based on his historical (something you cannot change) personality. Continue to change it, and I will request Bismark is either removed from the RP as a playable character or made a neutral NPC.
