I play undivided Word Bearers.
Tonight was my first night playing. I just happened to win, but as I recall it was something like Chaos Space Marines mixed with cultists.

Them: I think I'll hit your defiler.

Yeah, I hate it when my defiler gets destroyed...
What colours were the Chaos marines?
So are you considering maining chaos? They are a solid choice and are incredibly variable.Nature-Spirits wrote:Do I even want to know what a defiler does?

And my friend is trying to help me choose an army. We've been looking towards a mechanized Boyz army, since the only thing I told him is "I wanna hit fast, and with a lot of guys." He's got a Tau that I can't explain the main focus of (since I don't really know, but he has two large, disc shaped ships), and another friend of mine has got some vanilla space marines.
There are ways to paint quick yet still retain quality.
Tau are fast and shooty, but crumble in close combat.
You may actually be suited to Tyranids, their fast and they attack hard. They have several large monsters.
The only problem may be is you will have crap shooting. (Unless you go for several very specialised shooting monsters, which take up points and money)
They call me Temp. If I take too long to respond, just TG me. Or TG me whenever, I'm online 90% of the time.

Probably. In lore, I'ma lover of Slaanesh. Also the marines were red.

I remember him saying that I would like Boyz and Tyranids, and maybe Eldar (I forget which kind), but then he said that Tyranids were huge. I like swarm tactics and speed, not just speed. That's why we were looking into a Boyz army with a large number of bikes (well, larger than normal) and a few trucks with the swarm of Boyz ready.
Although, I wouldn't be opposed to a melee swarm of smaller Tyranids. I realized that my play style would get me close anyway, and the Tyranids do embody my philosophy when playing shooter games (move fast, stab people). However, I don't know how hard it would be to make a swarm Tyranid army. My friend only spoke of big, fast creatures, and not many little guys.
He also mentioned the Necrons, and I thought they sounded cool. Except for the lack of speed, the bringing back from the dead and swarms of creatures sound appealing to me.

Character name: Operates under the codename "Gretel"
Gender: Female
Age: 16
Appearance:
Personality: Gretel is reserved and quiet. She tries her best to be an individual of temperance and virtue to accomodate her angel familiar. Gretel is also extremely religious, and violently reacts to the slandering of her lord and savior. She views herself as responsible for delivering heretics from evil. By seperating body and soul.
Strengths/Abilities:Weaknesses:
- Gretel has a natural talent for reading the mood of others. Stress, the vibe, and so on.
- She is confident in herself and what she stands for. There is no placing doubt in her mind.
- She is very good at sneaking around and lurking around. Finding her can be quite the hunt.
- She has a zero bullshit policy. Her subordinates are fanatically loyal.
Short Bio: Gretel had a name before she was indoctrinated into Ira Dei, but she has long since forgotten. She also had parents before she was brought into Ira Dei, but they're gone. Gretel likely had a home before Ira Dei, but she doesn't remember it. It was when Ira Dei was first founded that Gretel was taken off the streets by the men in white. Nobody was going to miss a homeless teen on the streets. When taken, Gretel was sternly indoctrinated into the Ira Dei religious curriculum. She was taught to worship properly and what it meant to reject the material world. How the reckoning was upon the world and how she could find salvation.
- Gretel's fanatic devotion leaves little room for compromise.
- Her zero bullshit policy purges the unfaithful, but leaves her limited subordinates.
Enough spouting it and Gretel eventually came to believe it herself. There was little option. The next step in her indoctrination was how to spot the heretics and forces of evil. They could be detected by numerous peculiar behaviors such as talking to non-existent figures, superhuman capabilities, and questioning their position on the lord and savior. Typical Ira Dei indoctrination. Numerous films were shown, and Gretel sat in front of them for hours. Answering questions about the documentaries with the risk of going hungry for 2 days.
Eventually, she was told how she could be a greater asset to the lord than just being a bag of skin and flesh. Though reluctant, Gretel found her true faith when she became the vessel of an angel. The existence of an actual angel before her was enough to bring Gretel to her knees begging for forgiveness. Of course, the angel was quick to forgive his vessel.
Since she was now the vessel of an angel, an honor only so many receive, Gretel took her turns preaching to newcomers and trainees about renouncing the material world. The cycle continued.

Regardless, Gretel could easily smite a lone Black demon according to the OP. Virtu vs. Black demon= Virtu Wins. She's not going to be introduced until later. Not sure how later, but later. Though if you want to challenge her as a nemesis feel free.

She also served as pope for a while while her father went on leave, and I think that would be pretty ironic.

I was originally going to have Lucrezia Borgia as my demon, because she's the daughter of a pope and her entire family was made up of slightly psychopathic backstabbing killers.

Perhaps Rodrigo Borgia as the atheist's familiar, who was the pope for political reasons rather than religious, now that you mention the family.

And someone else can have Ezio Auditor da Firenze, the guy who killed the Pope and made the Assassin Brotherhood what it is today!
I have fond memories of ACII. One of the first games I played that had such an engaging story. Then again, I was a kid at the time.

There is, to use an industry term, a fuckload of historically relevant subtext in those games, at least in the Ezio trilogy. 3 was a baffling disappointment. (And he didn't kill the pope. Cesare did. Ezio just punched him out in front of the cardinals.)
