Wait a minute... *goes on Wikipedia to confirm suspicions*

"The ancient Greeks also considered Pan to be the god of theatrical criticism."
Okay, so he's a pervy weirdo who yells at titans, criticizes theater, constantly plays music, and doesn't afraid of anything. Sounds about right.

Plot twist: Jackie is the son of the Greek Pan and the west African Anansi. :p

He's also the root of the word panic, and has sex with everyone.

I don't think I can illustrate how far away this is from Jackie, given him having anime protagonist levels of zeal and him being the biggest virgin ever. I mean really, his first kiss was after having a knife thrown into his skull, dying, kicked in the nuts, pulling the knife back out, suffering brain damage, getting his arm ripped off, throwing the knife into his own foot, going on a brain-damaged rant, and falling unconscious in a pool of his own blood. In that order. :lol2:

Something amusing I realized is that the impending Armageddon and his recruitment to fight in it is possibly the best thing that could have ever possibly happened to him. If his life and the world went normally he'd probably end up becoming The Penguin or something, given his eccentric personality, mild obsession with birds, and the inevitability of him jumping in deeper into crime to accomplish his motives. Although, he primarily has an ideological motive so that would be a blatant contrast to The Penguin's only working for greed and power. *rubs chin* Jackie for Batman supervillain 2016

Batman faces his most nebulous foe yet in the upcoming 3-part series Guilty By Dissociation, co-written by Neil Gaiman and some chucklefuck from California.

I read that as "most fabulous foe yet" and it took me a while to realize that actually wasn't what you wrote.

If Jackie was a comicbook villain, half the comic would either consist of Jackie calmly discussing philosophy with the hero, fighting in a ludicrous manner, or doing both simultaneously. Depends on which hero he was fighting. No one expects something as cliche and overused as a banana peel!

I would suggest names relating to his ideology but, again, spoilers. ...At this point I think I have more spoilers hidden than the actual RP owner :p Also, while Jackie (and by extension, me as well) occasionally uses birds as a metaphor in his ideology, I realized that I shouldn't go with the obvious animal-gender naming scheme for that.

Hmm... what other names could I use from his gimmicky side or other traits...

Trickster?
Charlatan?
Mirror-Smoke?
Ringmaster?
Riff?
「The Fool」?

Super villain name: Chris Angel. It's got layers, as code names go. Smoke and mirrors/trickery/smoke pun, to begin. Angel, for irony. Being the name of a real person who's a stage performer makes every discussion about that performer confusing as hell, especially if Jackie interacts with him. (I've always wanted to give something a name that makes discussion of it difficult. Like naming a sports team "the winners".)

That gave me an idea: "The". Just "The". You would be incapable of searching for information on him since almost every page with that word would come up. Although, the media would probably come up with an alternate nickname anyways...

EDIT: Also, Jackie would be one of those villains who regularly teams up with heroes to take down seemingly random villains, and then immediately leaves afterwards to go back to attacking good guys.

He'd be the 6th power ranger from every season of power rangers, but only from the first half of every season when they have the M.O. you just described.

I really wish that I would have watched Power Rangers when I was younger so I could crack references to that, since it seems like there would be a lot of fitting references to make in this RP. Also I can't say if Jackie would fit that role or not due to that, but I can say that Jackie would be constantly dancing on the line between villain and anti-hero. Actually... Jackie would technically be an anti-villain, now that I think about it. Huh.

So basically, this whole Armageddon just turned his fate from anti-villain to anti-hero. Funny world.

For pretty much every series of power rangers, there are 5 rangers from the start. A few episodes in, someone else wearing a solid-colored bodysuit shows up, shoots the bad guy, but then steals the episode's macguffin from the rangers. Halfway through the series, the ambiguously bad guy gets rescued by the rangers/has a bonding moment with one of them/does some other friendship nonsense with them. From that point on, the 6th ranger is a standard team member.
Other points: Inverse law of ninjutsu is in effect, meaning that one 6th ranger is equal to or stronger than the entire ranger team until the point where he joins them.
The 6th ranger is, invariably, super fucking cool, and so is their megazord. The first one basically had mechagodzilla as a megazord.
The 6th ranger has a noble (in their mind, at least) cause. Noble causes conflicting with the rangers' goals are often explained by brainwashing or the 6th being misled. Notable exception to the "brainwashing/told the rangers are evil" cop out : The Magna Defender. He was a 3000-year-old alien with a bull motif whose blind quest for revenge endangered a human space colony's continued existence.
Basically: despite being a ridiculous series for children with absurd notions (like a future police organization naming a robot "quantumsaurus Rex"), there's something really gripping and trend-setting about the story writing. (Impressive characters like the Magna Defender are somewhat overshadowed by the flashbacks to his son's death where his son is shown to be a small child wearing a miniature Magna Defender costume).

I have a very low opinion of the series based on the few episodes I've seen, but to each his own I guess.

Paradoxically, I also have something of a low opinion of the series. It's simply not very good. I like to think of myself as having good taste, but Power Rangers is just a part of my childhood that I can't and don't wish to forget.

Hm. Jackie probably wouldn't be misled about the power rangers, unless of course the power rangers had Jackie's gray philosophy which would arguably make them anti-heroes and not really shining pillars of good or anything like that. Besides, Jackie's philosophy would be too gray, historical, and controversial to be included in a children's show. *rubs chin* Wait, why am I discussing a show I don't watch again...? :p

Ehhh. He swings any direction and doesn't really care about gender and not much about sex, but tends to swing slightly more towards the female sex, being more of a leg man. So I'm not sure if pansexual's the word since he swings in one way more than the other so there is a distinction based on sex, which I think disqualifies him from that. I'm not sure on specifics so I myself can't make the call as for what specific sexuality Jackie is. Romantically, he's primarily attracted to given personality traits, not gender. The person's sex has some influence though indirectly through sexual attraction.

GOD WHY DO I HAVE SO MANY DAMNED PRECISE DETAILS ABOUT A FICTIONAL NERD ON THE INTERNET

I wish I had any details figured out on my characters sexuality... (Apart from Laura, still her sexual details are somewhat lacking and I'm going to have to flesh them out.)
I haven't even decided on their orientation...

Clarence was asexual initially, due to having an unpleasant background with sex. I guess he'll be strictly Laurasexual from now on.
Also, Nek, I love the manga that picture is from.

First Lauraish, then Lauraesque, now Laurasexual :p
Their relationship is going to be rather interesting, as their both rather damaged and romantically inexperienced (though Laura isn't a virgin).

Actually, I think a accurate terms here could be "demisexual" or "demiromantic". It sounds like he can only feel sexual (demisexual) or romantic (demiromantic) attraction to people after making a strong emotional bond with them.

Funny Jackie note: I originally intended Jackie basically as a port of my Homestuck OC, but holy mother of God he took a 180 while I was making him and now has almost nothing to do with him aside from being a clever asshole. Jackie isn't chaste or otherwise against sex or romance, Jackie has done alcohol and light drugs and never vowed against drugs/alcohol (which is a stupid decision in the HS world due to one being pretty important for health), Jackie isn't in a spiral into paranoia due to being chaste (Long story short, the government will stab him to death if he doesn't agree to help donate genetic material to the containers. Alien world, alien reproductive system, LONG STORY.), Jackie doesn't live in a fortified house in the woods due to the paranoia, Jackie doesn't really support eugenics, Jackie is an asshole in a completely different way (HS OC was a calm, fast-talking prick who constantly used wordplay to make people accidentally admit they're flawed and then constantly bring that flaw up, or otherwise be ungodly sassy and annoying. Also he NEVER raises his voice. Ever.), Jackie is an asshole for completely different reasons (Read: Actual, reasonable, valid reasons. As opposed to my HS OC doing it for personal amusement and to deflect insecurity from anxiety/paranoia), Jackie has a completely different ideology which is more broad, Jackie cares much more about media and the arts, Jackie doesn't constantly flaunt his views and vows in people's faces like a self-righteous prick, and Jackie doesn't really have anything he won't admit when asked about. There's also some more differences, but I can't remember which ones I haven't listed.

It's funny how things turn out while making characters.

EDIT: You know what? I'm going to put hints on all the secrets after the next one gets revealed which will probably be after the battle.

Everyone works for the government, and buys from the government, obsoleting taxes as the money does not leave the country, save for government buying of items of foreign nations. Military is advanced but unconventional, focusing on infantry and psychological warfare. Primary method of national income is export of armaments and other war-related items.
