Can't go wrong there.
Also, next phase of battle launched.
I just demolished a quarter of the Alliance dreadnought strength.

You said it was fortifying the city without ever saying that it landed.
Also, there's nowhere to retreat to, baka. I have the Relay, and railgun projectiles are faster than dreads. U gonna get wrecked.

Two. I don't need to catch up. You'd still be well within firing range. Reverse maneuvering thrusters would take ages to fire up and get the whole ship moving, leaving me plenty of time to get a second and third volley off. If you turned around, you would be demolished entirely.
Three. If you don't post it, it doesn't happen. You never even implied it. You just said "fortify city", that's all.
Four. You would still have to somehow go around the entire Batarian fleet, which entails going towards it, which means you get shot more.

1: in that case fine then
2: the bismark was the only one said to use its reverse thrusters as stated, the others retreated as normally.
3: okay fair enough the transport has retreated as well.
4: who said I was retreating to the relay?

Here, I'll you some advice... on the wiki, there is a section titled space combat. When you are out numbered most commanders retreat to FTL to get out of the system. Even Railguns and Lasers can't touch you there and you can withdraw deeper into that cluster.

So pretty much what I was planning on doing with those fleet elements?

Don't let the rest of humanity know that it was sacrificed on purpose then... Dreads take forever to build. Just ask me.. my special project is a Dreadnought.. sorta.
Actually it was not on purpose, the commander thought the Batarians would not fire in fear of hitting Terra Nova, apparently they don't give a shit about firing at a garden world, Also to note several shots hit the planet...
Also I was planning on replacing all my dreads with more mobile fleet elements anyway.

What, even though no other ships are powerful enough to break through a dread's barriers, and fighters get massacred by lasers while trying to break them with torpedoes.

I have another tactical doctrine in mind. and no other ships? tell that to the megre dozen of Geth light/heavy cruisers who almost whoopped out the DA like a fly.

Who knows, its all up in the air for now.
And also looking through my factbook I actually have 2 Combat Engineer forces there, one with the fleet and one on Terra Nova. chickiddy check yo self cause the city if fortified and manned!

... for the last time the DA wasn't even trying to do battle there. It was getting the council out. And for such a large ship it is rather maneuverable. I'd guess most asari ships are quite maneuverable. In the cinematic it can be seen fleeing the battle, not fighting in it. Then the relay was locked so they were trying to return to the citadel fleet when what looked to be at least a few dozen Geth cruisers attacked it, and it alone. Why else could the Systems Alliance ships reach the Destiny Ascension first? That cloud of explosions going on that the Alliance went towards: Destiny Ascension vs Geth cruisers. Remember, the rest of the battle is at the top of the Citadel where the arms are closed at that time.
