There's a large number of ways Asumar could be resurrected. Mercer could easily do it with his Omega beams, but there's a reason he didn't. The Celestial guy do what Jedi said. Uatu could do it.

Name: The Knights of Salem (AKA: "The Elders", and "Helsing Corporation")
How large is the faction in numbers: 500.
Short description of Tech level: The technological level of the Knights of Salem (formal), also called the Elders (informal), is unknown. However, based on firsthand account interactions with these people, some dictate that their tech level transcends physics and logic, and some have described it to be almost magic. Of course, all technology is technology- it's just the technology that the Elders have, based on these accounts, is far beyond human comprehension. Thus, it is assumed that the Knights are humanoid beings, not actual humans.
Short history of the faction: The Knights of Salem supposedly came to be when Salem was founded. The Knights were founded by a man known as William Van Helsing. However, Salem records do not ever record there being a Van Helsing family within it's borders, and it can be therefor determined that Van Helsing was an alias or title of some sort, while William was his true name. According to Salem's historic records, the Knights of Salem always kept isolated and refused outsiders to enter their castles and fortresses. And, every time the Knights heard a witch was arrested, they were the ones who supposedly stole them away from the prison; although, this was never proved according to Salem records. The Knights of Salem continued to exist in an isolated state until 1950, when the leader of the Knights, Samuel Van Helsing, founded the Helsing Corporation- which acted as a front company for the Knights/Elders. Using the Helsing Corporation, they constructed many new facilities and fortresses throughout America. For what purpose, was unknown to all but the select few outsiders finally hired by it. In 2003, the Knights of Salem's most recent and current leader, Thomas Van Helsing, took control of the Knights and Corporation. Due to it's super-advanced technologies, or at the time they seemed advanced, they became very powerful and popular. Suddenly, in 2005, the Knights of Salem and the Helsing Corporation announced that the Republican party agreed to allow Thomas to run for President. This was news that everyone, especially Republicans, enjoyed. The Knights, once Thomas was elected, were immediately made into Thomas' staff. Now they had control over a significantly powerful government, corporation, and secretive group. The Knights' purpose is still unknown to date, as after the DC 2013 Incident, all of their facilities and technology had seemingly vanished. Like magic. So had all of their personal. As this occurred, NASA scientists claim that they saw a ship form in space and take off towards Mars. Ever since, the Mars Monitoring Force/MMF kept watch on the Knights, who had terraformed Mars for their own use. Why they did this is currently unknown, and so the MMF continued surveillance. On January 2nd, 2014, about 500 of the Elders/Knights had been warped off of Mars- of course, the fact there were thousands, maybe even millions of Knights on Mars, this went unnoticed. However, it is presumed that they took some technology, ships and weapons with them.
