Worked on text formatting to make it easier on the eyes. Broke up more text walls with more greeble. Added pictures which have been custom modified (not made, gods only know how much it'd be to get those commissioned), and now am waiting on some more feedback and reminders of things to fix or think about adjusting...

Looks nice. Banners are a bit too high for my own taste but that's not particularly relevant.

RP INTEREST AND FEEDBACK REQUEST
Please provide as much detail as possible.
RP's Overarching Concept: An RP set in a modern-day city during a chaotic war between supernatural forces.
Genre/s: Fantasy, Modern, Adventure
Character or Faction Based: Character with slight faction elements if wanted.
Detailed Description: Thousands of years ago, a grand war between the two greatest factions nearly destroyed the earth. Angels and demons. It wasn't until the Grand Goddess, Elysia, and her guardians intervention that peace was made. And it was thought such prosperity would remain, that is, until the assassination of Elysia. With each side blaming the other, the two declared war, the third and last war of our world (interpret that however you want :P). As if things weren't bad enough, Elysia's powers (for lack of a better word) transferred to the mortal realm upon her death. Individual humans were granted these gifts, rather it was superhuman strength, pyromancy, or even mind control (basically superpowers). As if things weren't bad enough, the death of one of these users would grant their killer the power, further increasing the already great tension.

Also to clear some things up, supernatural occurrences go by unnoticed by the vast majority of humans. It's sort of like the Mist from the Percy Jackson series. The only people who'll see all this crazy stuff going on are the ones that are in the centre of it.
Need Help With: Just seeing if there's any interest for this type of RP. Posted this a couple months earlier.

Please leave this hashtag in place: #Mentorhelp

Opinions on Mando'ade characters, for y'all Star Wars fans? Stereotypes vs well-done ones? Fun perks or interesting twists to them?

Asking with the image of a GCW era merc in mind, rather than a TOR Mando or Crusader, or a Clone Wars era New Mandalorian, though all are welcome.

Also, Boba Fett rules.

The Mandalorians

Well, Mandalorians are often portrayed only as bad-ass warriors who just like killing and nothing else. But, of course, they can be politicians just as well. A society, even a martial one, can't be all about fighting. So, a nice balanced character, who is good at fighting, but for whom it is not his main character trait, would be nice. Of course, honour is a big thing for the Mandalorians, so I suspect certain targets would be off-limits. Also, even a contract cannot bind a Mandalorian to a dishonest man, which would make Mandalorians a great risk to employ. Of course, they would be worth it.

Just want to point out that while Mandalorians DID like killing, they were in a similar vein to "The Predator" in that they didn't really kill/target civilians from what I've seen. They were, as you put it, a martially based society. They enjoyed war to prove how tough they were. If you weren't a threat to them, if you didn't or couldn't fight back, killing you would be a dishonor. This can be seen in SWTOR's Bounty Hunter class. They operate on certain codes of conduct. I'm not going to say it NEVER happened because to be blunt I'm just not up to snuff on SW lore.

Hey everybody, I have an idea for an RP and I'd just like to see if anyone would be interested in it!

RP INTEREST AND FEEDBACK REQUEST
Please provide as much detail as possible.
RP's Overarching Concept: An RP where a volcano is about to erupt and a group of people venture into the red zone for quest-centric reasons and hope to get out alive.
Genre/s: Suspense, Mystery, Realistic
Character or Faction Based: Character
Detailed Description:
In the spring of the year 2030, the Pacific Northwest Seismic Network records a 4.3 earthquake in the vicinity of Mt. Baker, WA. Felt by local residents, this earthquake is soon followed by a swarm of others. Subsequently, smoke and ash begins to rise from the mountain which can be seen and felt from miles away. Witnessing this, the situation soon becomes concerning to state officials. Scientists within the United States Geological Survey are brought to Bellingham, and based upon existing information surmise that there is a real threat of an eruption on the stalwart old volcano. However, the scientists are at the same time are perplexed by their findings, as records show that the mountain hasn't had a serious eruption in 6000 year. Nevertheless, the governor of Washington declares a state of emergency and quickly meets with officials to draw a "red zone" around the mountain to restrict entry to civilians and be patrolled by state and local police.

Meanwhile, news of the imminent eruption attracts people (and reporters) from around the nation to the site hoping to get a glimpse of the action. Not wishing for a repeat of 50 years earlier, security is ramped up and only the most necessary and important people are let through police barricades. Yet, despite their best efforts, people find other ways. Reporters use helicopters. Thrill seekers use old logging roads. And a single curmudgeonly octogenarian living at the base of the mountain refuses to leave his longtime home, forcing officials to leave him as be.

Despite the danger of the area, many out-of-towners also come to mountain chasing longheld rumors of a great long-lost treasure buried beneath the mountain's slopes that would inevitably be irretrievable if the mountain were to erupt. Supposedly, only the oldest locals know of its location. And it just so happens that one of the oldest locals is the aforementioned curmudgeon living on the mountain's slopes...

To add to those ambitious out-of-towners, some of those who aren't even interested in treasure or adventure have reasons to venture into the danger zone. Many scientists, still continually perplexed by the mountain's suddenly eruptive behavior, have an intent desire to test the mountain up close even if they would be risking their lives to do so. In addition, many police officers, hoping to preserve some semblance of order and fed up with the operation, enter the red zone to take it upon themselves to bring trespassers to justice. But if they venture into the danger zone, will they like what they find?

Play as one of six classes: scientist, police, treasure hunter, reporter, thrill seeker or local. Venture into the red zone, try to find what you desire, and hope to live to tell the tale. And to keep the suspense feeling real, nobody knows when the volcano will blow. Within certain parameters and set milestones, the eruption will be timed based upon a random number generator and therefore could nearly erupt at any time!

With all this laid out, what will your character do in these circumstances? Why will you venture into the red zone?

Gauge interest; I know its a little different than the usual fantasy, sci-fi, nation-building RP but I feel like it could be an interesting RP experiment.

The Mandalorians

I thought they were just trying to put two words together there because I've never heard "Mando'ade" used to refer to Mandolorians before. I just ignore the Mandolorians generally because it seems every other Star Wars fan has their culture down.

AFAIK going by Star Wars RPs Mandolorians are just cold badasses with no real personality that are really good at killing people to the point of opship. Just look at the stereotype, rework it some, add something besides never saying anything besides "*kewl phrase*, I'm going to kill u naow" and your Mandalorian might be an independent character.

Look at the Mandalorian stereotype, strip it to its base, and build a character that's founded on that base, but is not entirely composed of it. I think that's all I got to say.

Those are always fun, especially if you tack on the latter. *nods*

Gotta fix your OOC link. It takes you to the page you were editing (which is to say we can't access it). :p

Time travel is a fairly popular premise and so broad a concept that it can be warped a whole slew of ways yet still be unique. I don't see any reason why we can't have several RP based on it.

Depending on their goals, I think it'd be interesting to have characters with the same goal team up. I think it'd also be interesting to see them become rivals. So, I would preferably leave that up to the individual RPers and let the chips fall where they may. Generally, however, if teams were to come into play they would be between members of the same class (with each different class being somewhat antagonistic to each other).
