I'm looking to expand the Atomic Dreams setting. I've been designing it for use by anyone for stories (which I'd love to read) or RPs here on NS. However I've been so branched out with the different countries that I don't have a great deal of detail on them. I haven't actually focused on one and thought it through.

To put the concept in brief, it's an Atomic Age Retro-Science Fiction setting where technology has progressed but society less so. So far each country has stuck with a trend in the 1950s and had that trend carry on or rather is an advanced version of it from the 1950s.

Iran for example is a monarchy, meaning that this timeline's middle east is slightly different then our own- among other things.

The setting has been discussed here before so I figure some interest in developing it may linger. I approve contributors modifying the wiki articles as well.

Detailed Description:
The person who attempts to fight the iron logic of nature thereby fights the principles he must thank for his life as a human being. To fight against nature is to bring about one’s own destruction. (Mein Kampf, p. 314).

Look at down at your feet on where you’re standing. On what you’re wearing. Depending on that, the world is nearing a utopia or already hell on Earth. The Nazi war machine became unstoppable with jets soaring through the sky and nuclear-powered submarines ruling the seas. The Soviets signed that damn pact, they evaded war. Bet they don’t think it was so smart, now that they been forced into becoming a socialist hermit kingdom, beset by Fascists on all sides. New York City. A crater, a pit in the surface of the earth where a flourishing city of yearning masses once stood. The Nazi's beat us to the bomb, the big one, the Atom Bomb. They rained nuclear fire down on New York, and then their armies came. Legions of men in black and grey, mechanical monsters, unstoppable jet fighters stormed the shores of the United States of America. President Truman was shot in his office along with his wife, and that crooked, black cross of the Reich was raised above Washington D.C.

Its been so long...they came across in 1945, its 1963 now. A Generation has gone by, a whole era of humanity under the iron foot of the Ten Thousand Year Reich. Ethnic Cleansings, public ideological reeducations, mass forced labor. America is just a dream in the eyes of old. There is resistance but it's dying, short of breath and with weary back under the Nazi boot.

The Germans grow wealthy off their bitch states, while the Italians rape Africa of its resources and farm the American Midwest, sending it all back to Italy on the Mississippi. There's even rumors of Africa having been turned into a giant plantation, African slaves grown in science labs with no purpose other than a lifetime of slavery.

The Rising Sun is worshipped in the Pacific. From Korea to Haiwaii and down to New Guinea, the flag flies with a iron will and strict disicipline. Where they don't rule, they install puppets, like in China, Indochina, and Australia.

However, not is all well in the Axis. The Germans hate the Italians, who grow fatter than them off the North American colonies the Italians contributed little to conquer during the war, and the Soviets are growing restless with their nuclear weapons while the Japs have to put down rebellion after rebellion in their territories. The time is now, the time is ripe to strike right at the black heart of the Fascists.

Or if you ask certain people, Germania has now created a new order in the East. Together with Italy, it has also reordered southeastern Europe. Now it engaged in a decisive battle with England and France and their vassals. Great battles were raged, great victories won. Norway, the Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg, and France are in German hands. Alsace and Lorraine have been reincorporated into the German Reich. Two worlds are facing each other: One is the world of the young rising states, the other the world of the regurgitated declining states and Bolshevism. The German people have an unshakable will for victory. Their faith in their Führer Adolf Hitler is also unshakable. A united Germany will win the victory, and finish its fight for a global Pax Germanica.

Need Help With:We need help with finding a way to make the RP digestible. Like I was debating of having a sort of system in place for actions and skill points or not. And generally, we need help in making the RP come to life with backstory, describing nations, and providing gameplay tenets for the RP to revolves around. We also need mapmaker willing to work with large maps.

Pretty much allows for the DC, Marvel and Dragon Ball Multiverses among many others to be neatly tied together.

I started expanding on the US-

Namely the politics of Atomic Dreams USA; but- ok, this is what I have as I've attempted to explain it as best I can.

Politics of the United States of America are dominated by two political parties; the Democratic Party and the Republican Party. The policies of these two parties are deeply linked to Harry S. Truman and Dwight D. Eisenhower with Harry S. Truman having ushered in the American Atomic Age during World War II, and Dwight D. Eisenhower prioritizing the development of nuclear arms. These two parties however are further divided within with conservative, moderate, and liberal wings with in both. Conservatives seeking to preserve their party's nature, moderates willing to bend a little, and liberals ready to shift the party fully. Conservative Democrats representing the hatreds of their party's past- with an opposition to civil rights and opposition to the expansion of federal power. Liberal Democrats on the other hand advocate social welfare, public healthcare, and other state services of a Socialist nature- from which they get criticism. Democratic presidents tend to come from a moderate branch of the party- a deeply ingrained disdain for communism (and thus socialism which is seen as a step towards communism) tends to keep the majority of voters from voting democrat. Conservative Republicans represent the party of Lincoln, as it's so often called, and advocate civil rights- the right of any red blooded American to take part in the great democracy. They tend to support federal power in enforcing the bill of rights, and Republican presidents have not shied away from the use of federal troops to enforce federal law (actions Conservative Democrats oppose and seek to diminish) . Liberal Republicans are more akin to Conservative Democrats, and are few in number- with most being deeply distrusted by their peers- seen as wolves in the cloth of lambs.

This is of course only a draft.... I was able to easily write about Japan, and Mexican politics in the setting (though I've not yet published the Mexican page of the Wiki)- because their politics are dominated by a single political party.

The US on the other hand has two parties that held office in the 1950s, the Democratic and Republican. The power struggle between these two is difficult to illustrate- as Much as I'd want the Republicans to dominate politics such just wasn't the case. WWII was won under a Democratic cabinat- .. I'm having difficulty determining the direction to go in this setting.

Anti-Communist sentiment disuading most from voting democrat sounds agreeable (for reasons explained in the draft) but since I'm not of that party, I need some input from someone who is or can speak for them in a positive light.

Please note that the politics are to be based on trends in the 1950s, and thus the 70s and 60s shouldn't be seen as guidelines for the parties in this setting but may be examined for ideas on how the parties, as they where in the 50s, may have reacted to future developments.

For the Atomic Dreams timeline to work Nuclear Technology must be promoted.

So I am thinking of a Warhammer 40K themed RP but can't really construct it completely. Basically, it is the 61st Millenium. The Emperor is long dead, and the galaxy's grimdarkness has been amped by eleven. The Imperium are now broken shards of itself, and Abaddon's 200th Black Crusade finally destroyed Cadia and blasted its way through the IoM, but not before the Void Dragon of Mars awakened and singlehandedly obliterated the entire Sol System. Now... The galaxy is grim grimdark, and the Old Ones will soon return...

Now, ideas I would need are that if it is a good idea at all, and what happened to the other factions, such as the Eldar, Tau, Orks, etc...

Kind of tossing around an idea for an RP centered around a civil war in an ex-Soviet country. The plot I'd probably go with is an armed uprising by the Russian population in northern Kazakhstan, inspired by the Russian uprising in eastern Ukraine. The players would be soldiers in the Kazakh army who have recently been conscripted. I don't know how much interest there would be and my inadequate OP creation skills will probably prevent it from ever happening though.

It's been a long time since I first attempted to get assistance on the Suaria RP. I've launched an interest thread now. It's been a long time since the world building thread was posted to the forums, and got no responses. I'd like to thank the person who did give feedback but looking over the posts I can't find the post I'm thinking of. Regardless I do appreciate what assistance I received, even while a small sum.

I can understand, the concept is odd- anthropomorphic dinosaurs from space invading and protecting the Earth isn't the common subject.

And yes y'all, it's fantasy. Like the story of King Arthur, but with some changes. It'd be an Arthurian AU where we play as characters from the tale, whatever version of them we like. We can make any change we like except you have to keep the backstory the same (and if you're changing the name, please make it something similar sounding). A small group of people from modern Earth who are the "chosen ones" (some of whom are the descendants of some Arthurian figures) get teleported to Arthurian England and they have to help get Arthur on the throne and defeat Morgan le Fay. Of course we're not gonna do it now, but it's just a thought.
