The Isle of Man vault was constructed in the 1960s at the height of the Cold War to be used as a back up vault for the government and royal family. After weathering the initial bombings within the London vault, the damage sustained to the internal structure was too great. So in a fleet of submarines, the government and its chosen population moved to the Isle of Man vault where they have stayed and waited, waiting until the time was right to emerge again. After the worst of the fallout had past the vault people rose out from underground and were greeted with a devasted land, but the Isle of Man would be quick and easy to clean up and rebuild. Recently the government has been authorising colonisation plans around the Irish Sea, with 4 colonies in mind. The isle of Anglesey, the peninsulas of strangraer and strangford and the town of Whitehaven were to be the first targets.

Well the government will have been planning the retaking of the british isles, so by the time they will have came out of the vaults, they will have a plan in mind. But I will hold off the colonisation until the Isle of Man is secure.

Perhaps you could refer to the queen/head of state as The Lord of Mann seeing as that title had been sold to the monarchy shortly after the island itself. Have you read the novels of sir hall Caine? The island is a great choice because of its flourishing economy, thriving space industry, fertile farm land, great fishing and trade lanes/areas surrounding the island, central location between Ireland and England and France/mainland Europe and it's being a tax haven. If I may suggest mentioning the castle on the island that could be neat. Perhaps (much) later in the story our factions could meet up (perhaps by a internet network, seeing as in my accepted app it directly mentions the isle as a place where many of its rich (Noble) clients came from and the queen giving the founders of the my vault hereditary titles in exchange for money or lands) Anyway Great choice on location, thank you for joining and I hope you enjoy this Rp.

As for the title, wouldn't it be changed if the monarch was female? I don't know what the female equivalent of a lord would be, but I will use the title so it fits in with your history.

Ok, it's just cause you mentioned entire mountain ranges appearing due to nukes so I assumed the globe would look a bit different geographically.

I believe the common consensus is that crossing bodies of water like the English Channel, Mediterranean or the Atlantic (among others) Would be possible but extremely difficult since the radiation would have caused the enormous change of size in fish causing them to be transformed into creatures akin to sea monsters. So crossing the Atlantic would be like fighting the "kraken" at least once every day. However I'm sure that a satellite flickering on and off could allow for sporadic communication between our two groups through something similar to " Poseidonet".

I had figured that the seismic shock created by the nukes dropping all across the earth and continents would've been strong enough to uplift the tectonic plates in some areas and thus either, raise, lower or create mountain ranges and with them alter the state of earths surface.

Normally the title if lord is masculine, by that you are correct. The feminine is Lady. The title lord of Mann however is gender neutral and that's why queen Elizabeth goes by "Lord of Mann" instead of "Lady of Mann".

It's fine about not reading the book. Now it must be around 100 years old anyway.
