Election Results in: PRI declares victory!
In a suspenseful election, which saw the introduction of the PRI (Partido Revolucion Instotucional English, Institutional Revolutionary Party), the dominant Mexican political party, the PRI has declared victory in the elections, with their candidate for governor, Fillip Brown, son of former Governor Jerry Brown, being elected to office.
Election officials reported that, out of nearly 45,000 polling places, 97% were able to proceed normally, thanks to military protection. However, about 18 polling stations were shut down in Los Angeles and in various, anti-immigrant areas, where Republican farmers seized polling stations and rigged the vote, which was consequently discounted by the Electoral Commission. Statistics and results from the election are below:
Registered Voters: 14,763,500
Voter Turnout: 9,151,300 (62%)
Fillip Brown (PRI): 4,577,800 (57%)
Willis Backstreet (Democrat:) 3,542,300 (24%)
Charles Newberry (Republican): 2,084,400 (19%)

With the liberal PRI splitting the Democratic and Republican vote, the election was large uncompetitive, though Backstreet has claimed that the Militia fixed the vote in favor of Fillip Brown. Backstreet and Newberry are both demanding a recount of the votes, and Republican militia in rural California have said they will secede from the Confederacy if Newberry is not made Governor. The Provisional Government of Garcia has promised to recount the ballots in the election, and they have asked Coldwater forces to help recount the ballot.

Princess Celestia announced that the 8th Royal Guard Wing, consisting of 8000 elite pegasi, will be deployed under command of Brigadier General Rainbow Dash, who was jump-promoted from the position of Wing Leader in the Reserve Wing. In a separate conference, Princess Luna announced that all of the "Mane 6": Pinky Pie, Rainbow Dash, Fluttershy, Rarity, Twilight Sparkle, and Applejack will all be following along. Luna vigorously denied that plans were being made to cause a tsunami and change the weather along the coasts, but hinted that her and Celestia will be attempting to maintain control of the time of day. In addition, A Company, 11th Unicorn Magical Forces, will be deploying under the command of Lieutenant Twilight Sparkle, who was recently promoted due to her noted magical skills. The company consists of 100 unicorn apprentices who have been training in magic under Twilight Sparkle and other notable unicorn wizards. Celestia has promised that the aim of the mission is "purely humanitarian," and will not involve "immediate and direct" conflict with Union forces.

Coldwater Vote Counters from Coldwater, escorted by more MPs are sent into California to recount the votes. The Coldwater Vote Counters are distributed across all the polling stations to recount the votes. They will take the votes directly out of the box and count them. More vote counters and the overseer are sent into the ones seized by Republican Militias, where they will see whether the vote was indeed rigged, and if so, they will ask for a revote, and if not, they will count the votes.

Confederate snipers from the NC rangers and Texas state militia pick off yankee soldiers who invaded the town. The yankees do not know where the shots are coming from so they can't shoot back.

The Yankee force of 2,000 that took Corbin has surrendered after a short fight, with casualties being roughly 250 militia and 520 Yankees. About 50 of the Militia casualties were Texas state militia. Southern Kentucky is now back in Rebel hands. The militia is now 26,550 soldiers, with 750 being texas state militia. The rest are NC rangers. The men have been given orders to fortify the town, and the prisoners are being sent to POW camps.
