High-frequency blades lined with artificial diamond are in used by Tengu, officers and other special organizations and we're looking for ways to mass-produce them easier. But what does it compare to a Mere?

For one.

If hit by the edge of one on the skull, it will not just crack the skull.

It will SMASH it.

Each soldier has two melee weapons, the Mere and can you guess the second?

That's more of a slashing weapon, while the Mere is more a blunt trauma weapon.

We may not have a gigantic stockpile, but we do possess nuclear weapons.

True, there are production plants which on the West Coast...which are either in remediation or used for commercial uses only.

True, it's decades into the future...a future in which the world was wracked with violence and instability, in which the US collapse in on itself, tell me, why exactly would the US begin to rebuild it's nuclear arsenal then, and why would it build it near densely populated areas? As far as the OP goes, there was no need for such a thing to happen; it was far to concerned with domestic matters to take a lap around memory lane. Now that's all based on an assumption, I'm not the OP but neither are you. Now, perhaps on you're own you could have created your own nuclear arsenal, it's feasible yes, your only obstacle would be your history. You're history mentions forming in 2044, that gives you 16 years, but it also mentions a war with Quebec lasting an additional two, which makes it doubtful as to why your nation would begin to reconstruct it's predecessors nuclear arsenal granted it lacked the necessary infrastructure or facilities necessary for a successful nuclear weapons program. So you'd have 12 years to develop your nuclear program, but that would require building the necessary facilities and infrastructure, finding a uranium exporter, then enriching said uranium to make it weapons grade, considering that it took Pakistan 26 years to create it's first bomb that'd take quite awhile. But like you said; this is several decades into the future (although you'd have to factor out the decades in which the international system collapsed in on itself) and you'd still have access to key research and all the other components, but building still takes time, and this also raises the question as to why? Why the fuck are building a nuclear arsenal? There are no foreign threats to your nation, therefore the it's use as a deterrent wouldn't work.

Honestly it would be up to you, it is your nation after all, and all the above is based on speculation, but realistically I can only see your nation possess very, very, very few nuclear missiles, and I'm talking single digits here.

We wouldn't need to go through all of this. Seeing as we are a successor state to the US, we would already know how to make nuclear bombs. All we would need is the supplies.

We produce tropical fruit on the many uninhabited islands, but that's about it.

With the Swiss launching that ship to the moon, I feel a bit threatened. And my new Prime Specimen isn't held back by his relation to Humanity.
You'll get a warning, but no promises after that.
AH, PMT, some FT.

Your test scores indicate that you are an open-minded ultra-progressive; this is the political profile one might associate with a journalist. It appears that you are skeptical towards religion, and have a generally optimistic attitude towards humanity in general.
Your attitudes towards economics appear neither committedly capitalist nor socialist, and combined with your social attitudes this creates the picture of someone who would generally be described as a liberal.
To round out the picture you appear to be, political preference aside, a considerate idealistic egalitarian with many strong convictions.
