Brief (Paragraph) Description of your nation's history since the 2020s: During the 2020's the countries in the Southern Cone(Argentina and Chile) once again began competing for dominance of the cone. The economic situation for both countries steadily grew and the balance of power in South America entered in a three way rivalry between Brazil, Chile and Argentina. However in 2032, the economy of South America imploded along with most of the world's. Chile was the first to collapse, breaking down into social decay, Argentina led an international collation to quell the riots, however soon pulled out due to the lack of popularity at home and lack of funding. Argentina's economy was beginning to feel the effects of the global turn down, as did Uruguay, whom was being flooded by refugees. How about this one? A Pure Technocracy that is rather spiritual with remnants of the Tibetan theocracy. Given how relatively more science open Buddhism is and how vast the country is with emphasis on being environmentally friendly, it's likely that, other than the rather conservative and reactionary Buddhists, the monks would be left alone most of the time in the rebuilt monasteries.
